  1. 'Better Man' was a single (and one of his biggest hits!) in Australia and New Zealand, so it wouldn't be eligible, as it has to be purely an album track that wasn't released as a single anywhere.
  2. ACR halves a song's streaming, but it's just a one-off change (from 1:100 to 1:200 for premium streams, 1:600 to 1:1200 for ad-funded streams, and I can't remember if YouTube is the same or double that); it doesn't keep increasing the ratio thereafter. So 'Dance Monkey' had an abrupt fall from #1 to #10 when it hit ACR, but then its ratio has remained the same since. Essentially, it's been circling around #15-#20 instead of perhaps #5-#15 if it was on SCR. It can't actually drop further until it drops further on streaming. That's the effect ACR tends to serve for big hits that fall really gradually - they end up treading water 10-20 spots lower than they would otherwise, but it can't make them actually go away.
  3. Yeah I have a hunch about a future round (based on songs I've seen people say they're saving) and was thinking 'Formation' was likely for that :kink: Feel like you had a strong path ahead with the likes of 'Crazy In Love', 'Halo', 'When Love Takes Over', 'Irreplaceable' and 'Lose My Breath' also presumably saved for later and 'Telephone' if Gaga had gone out first without using it, if 'Motivation' had gotten past that hump.
  4. Ohh I forgot about that. Feels like it barely counts since it's just that it was sent to radio, and it didn't perform that significantly (it made #23 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, unlike, say, radio-only single 'Dance For You' which made #6, or Rihanna's 'Loveeeeeee Song' which made #4). Although I do remember some of the videos being gradually uploaded to YouTube as quasi-'single releases' and 'All Night' was one in November 2016.
  5. I feel bad for having pushed for 'Motivation' too  Is 'Upgrade U' really more popular than 'Ring The Alarm' or even 'Get Me Bodied' / other 'B'Day' songs? I was thinking 'Ring The Alarm' was the one that should've been chosen in retrospect, but there was really no safe or obvious choice this round... despite having so many eligible songs. Interestingly you didn't repeat a single song from the first AF Idol! 'Formation', 'Sweet Dreams', 'Irreplaceable', 'Survivor', 'Work', 'Baby Boy' + 'Say My Name', 'Dilemma', 'Scared Of Lonely', 'Drunk In Love', 'Video Phone', 'Motivation'. Is the common link between 'Baby Boy' and 'Motivation' that they're both too ''''''urban''''''? Maybe pile on the 'Commander', 'Rose Colored Glasses', 'Down For Whatever' etc next time to be safe :kink: (except not 'Down For Whatever' because that was a reshuffle #10 smash) Surprised that you were thinking 'Sandcastles' over 'All Night' - I thought 'Sandcastles' was typically the least rated song on the album, while I recall 'All Night' being a highlight for some people at least (maybe not on this site).
  6. love me or leave me still an obsession love me or leave me that is the question if you love me then thank you if you leave me then f*** you :cheeseblock:
  7. Charli's is somehow amazing, I just saw it resurfaced today  @1264582110213369856
  8. Maybe if there's a looped fanmade version that just has 'boys and girls feel good together' repeated for 4 minutes
  9. Empire Of The Sun were one of the most recognisable ones for me *.* The Hit Parade is right about "that band that the bloke from the Sleepy Jackson is also in"! I'd give him 2.5 points at least :P Shame David Gray wasn't a mystery deluxe rotated version of that Gary Barlow cover. Well done Riser getting a 'Greatest Hits' point :P I thought that Lucie Silvas cover looked incredibly familiar (and kept thinking of Jennifer Paige and Rachel Stevens, hence going with 'an algorithm merging' them), but I barely know of her. I pictured the full cover as her sitting on a bed not standing against a wall. Wow I really thought Lighthouse Family was a circa-1994 US R&B album, and it seemed just on the tip of my tongue. P.M. Dawn was the name I kept thinking of, and also Boyz II Men, the 'Boomerang' soundtrack, the album of Warren G's 'Regulate'... I'm glad I didn't spend more time trying to look down this path :P Good Charlotte is something I should've known. I thought the person looked like David Bowie and looked through his covers and tried googling 'David Bowie watching TV' to no avail. I was quite surprised the Jack Ü album didn't chart. I tried searching/checking every credit I could think of on the OCC site before checking Wikipedia where it had a #131 peak listed  I had nowhere near enough of the covers to actually count the GHs or #1s, so my strategy was to count the proportion of the ones I did have, and extrapolate that (i.e. 6/15 and 5/15 of what I had were GHs and #1s respectively, which was equivalent to 16/40 and 13/40). I'm glad the first one came close (I was thinking as I read through that it would be lower)... and the second was correct! :o :') Having looked up the peaks for the ones I had, I knew Jack Ü was a non-charter, but just put cover #11 as a random guess for the other.
  10. 'Call It What You Want' () and 'New Year's Day' would be my favourites ^_^ (not that I know all the tracks that have been mentioned) I'm guessing 'The Archer' would count and that would be a nice one too.
  11. 'Bloody Mary' would stand out SO much, I'd love that choice *.*
  12. I thought you'd definitely be going for something from 'A Star Is Born' or 'Joanne' for this. 'Speechless' has my support! Out of curiosity, which album tracks, if any, from 'Born This Way' would be considered ballads? 'The Queen', maybe? (If so, I'd pick it over 'Speechless', but I'm guessing it wouldn't be more popular)
  13. 'Lost' is a really nice track, that would have my support! One of my favourite Katy Perry non-singles.
  14. Wow that's a shame, 'Motivation' deserved so much better. I guess it shouldn't be surprising as I wouldn't have expected it to be especially popular here prior (too ~urban~, not a UK hit etc), but it seemed to have a lot of support in her thread. I hope the song that beat it by 1 vote wasn't one I voted  I did vote 'Hanging On' but I don't really mind Ellie being gone as I feel she has less left to offer than most of the other artists (partly by discography size and partly by my favourites of hers having already been submitted). I did think there were no obvious losers here. 'I put her on my plate, then I do the dishes' is a career highlight
  15. Not that there's much reason for anyone to care, but this has happened FYI :P
  16. Rush posted a post in a topic in AF Idol Archive
Posting an update for mine as I've now voted all the artists left at least once! And I'm down to Girls Aloud as my only 6/6.
  17. I honestly found the 'worst singles' round a lot stronger! The top 4 are easily my favourites here. 1. Taylor Swift - Out Of The Woods 2. Lady Gaga - Scheiße (not near my favourites on the album, but that's an extremely high standard) 3. Britney Spears - I Wanna Go 4. Kelly Rowland feat. Lil Wayne - Motivation 5. Madonna - Ghosttown (didn't like the production on this at the time but it sounds a lot better now) 6. Nicola Roberts - Yo-Yo 7. Ellie Goulding - Hanging On 8. Melanie C - Who I Am (surprising to go for a 2020 track! this has some production elements I really like) 9. Rihanna - Love On The Brain 10. P!nk feat. Indigo Girls - Dear Mr. President 11. Dua Lipa - Last Dance 12. Zara Larsson - Uncover 13. Take That - SOS 14. Little Mix - Secret Love Song, Pt. II 15. Katy Perry - Walking On Air 16. Kylie Minogue - Your Disco Needs You 17. Ariana Grande - Bad Decisions (feels harsh having Ariana last twice in a row but idk, this was one of few songs on the album I couldn't remember and it still did nothing for me)
  18. A singles rate conveniently forgetting all the songs no one likes so that if there's a similar theme in a potential AF Idol 3.0, you'll be prepared :kink:
  19. Surprised how many people got Dirty Vegas! I knew it immediately but thought it wouldn't be obvious to many since 'Days Go By' was a pretty minor UK charter. The first 4 were a great start for me... after that, much less so. I thought The Feeling looked like a Christmas album, possibly from the '80s or so. Not sure I've seen the Beastie Boys GH cover before. I... still mix up the 'K' bands to the extent that I saw the 2006 date and the songs you named from Kasabian's album and my first thought was "oh, it must be the album before 'Ruby'" I, looking at their singles, could not have named a pre-'Fire' song of theirs with a gun to my head... despite there being numerous top 10 hits, ouch. I started thinking Jay-Z & Linkin Park was Fort Minor's album, or Flobots (not the only one to think that!), and was stumped for a moment, but luckily thought of it by proximity! Wow at it having so few guesses :o Oh wow that was Jimi Hendrix?! I thought it looked like him/the 'Electric Ladyland' cover, but I looked through his albums on Spotify and didn't find it... in some cases I thought of googling for GHs that might not be on Spotify, but not this time. So I just wrote 'an extended version of Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland'; lucky I did. I... have no idea what Black Lace is? Oh, the name 'Agadoo' looks familiar... I think I've heard of it reading the comments on Popular (the UK #1s blog) or something, long ago. I like the idea of Fast Food Rockers having a GH :') I also don't know what Athlete is... despite a #4 hit in 2005? There are so many mid-'00s UK bands. I thought the Röyksopp red sky image looked very familiar but... not especially. I'm surprised they were already big enough in 2002 to have had a top 10 album then! The Prodigy is unmistakable, love that cover. Oh ouch Chase & Status is something I should've known! Ok, maybe not considering how few people got it  I kept thinking it was something like Blur which was way off. I will note that my answer was 'a graffiti'd poster for Ed Sheeran - ÷' :P
  20. I expect the playcounts will get combined when they next update (later today); I think when versions are suddenly combined or split, that usually shows in the charts before the playcounts, for whatever reason. I've seen it before with a fake version of 'Ric Flair Drip' for example. I don't believe 'bad guy' was ever combined though? You can see a full separate run for the Justin Bieber version. Some remixes that are combined include: Nathan Sykes - Over And Over Again (with or without Ariana Grande) Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart (with or without Ludacris) Nick Jonas - Jealous (with or without Tinashe) Swedish House Mafia - One / One (Your Name) (with or without Pharrell) Sam Smith - Lay Me Down (the John Legend version and the solo 2015 single version, but not the solo album version) Shawn Mendes - Lost In Japan (original and Zedd version), though they were separate for the first few months (spot when it changed) Troye Sivan - WILD (with or without Alessia Cara), though they were also separate for the first few months And some have been previously combined, for example: Sia - The Greatest (with or without Kendrick Lamar) - when the solo version came out (via the deluxe album; the Kendrick version was released as a single prior), they were combined for 2 months, which is very visible in their runs (Kendrick, solo). The solo version probably got a lot of unintentional plays, as it happened to be the one that got listed on the charts while they were combined. Additionally in Australia (it may not have been the case elsewhere), they deleted the (Kendrick-inclusive) single - so if you had the single in a playlist (or were playing from Today's Top Hits, which did), normally it'd go fetch the same track from the album to play, but because the system considered the 2 versions to be the same track, it would just pick one of the 2 thinking they're the same, and the solo version happened to be the one it chose. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee - Despacito (with or without Justin Bieber) - I remember them getting combined for about 2 days, mid-#1 run A Great Big World - Say Something (with or without Christina Aguilera) Sam Feldt - Show Me Love (original radio edit and EDX remix radio edit) Drake - Fake Love (2016 single version and 2017 album version) - I didn't think there was any difference between them, but they suddenly got split in 2018 (long after the single version had been deleted when the album came out!), leaving them with 332m plays for the single version and 271m for the album version, the former of which stayed steady since it had no plays to gain, while the latter tried to catch up; this remained so for months, somehow, before someone noticed and got them re-combined. It's one of the strangest cases I've seen. I assume what determines whether versions are combined or not is to do with behind-the-scenes metadata, but I've long felt that versions are more likely to be combined if the track lengths are about the same. For example, with 'One (Your Name)' that I mentioned above - the 2 versions' radio edits are combined (140m plays), and likewise for their original mixes (38m plays), as opposed to the split being between the 2 Pharrell and 2 non-Pharrell versions. With 'Lay Me Down', the 2 combined versions are 3:39-3:40 (and the old pre-album 2013 single version which is technically combined with them too, even though I'm not sure if it's still available anywhere, is 3:49), while the separate solo album version is 4:13. But this isn't universal; for example, Gerry Rafferty's 'Baker Street' has its 6-minute album version and 4-minute edit combined, so there's no objective criteria we can see. And once in a blue moon, you can get the truly bizarre - there was a time in 2016 where Akon's 'I Wanna Love You' and Mario Winans' 'I Don't Wanna Know' had their plays combined.

    -147 points :')))) (although it's a slight anticlimax as if we'd had as many voters as last week, it could've had, extrapolating, about -176 points!) It got 3 +3s, 2 -3s, 5 -4s, and 26 -5s. I cannot say whether it's the lowest score of all time as I only have data for, as of now, ~74% of reshuffle history, but from what I can cover (Jun 2009 to Nov 2014 and Oct 2017 to present), it absolutely is: -147 points (36 voters; average -4.08) - 15/05/2020 - 6ix9ine - GOOBA (week 1) -129 points (39 voters; average -3.31) - 23/03/2014 - Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull - I'm A Freak (week 2) -116 points (36 voters; average -3.22) - 22/06/2014 - Jason Derulo feat. Snoop Dogg - Wiggle (week 3) -116 points (40 voters; average -2.90) - 01/05/2020 - KSI feat. Swarmz & Tion Wayne - Houdini (week 1) -110 points (40 voters; average -2.75) - 04/05/2014 - Chris Brown feat. Lil Wayne & Tyga - Loyal (week 1) -109 points (33 voters; average -3.30) - 02/02/2014 - Jason Derulo - Trumpets (week 8) -106 points (32 voters; average -3.31) - 23/11/2014 - Gareth Malone's All Star Choir - Wake Me Up (week 2) -106 points (43 voters; average -2.47) - 08/05/2020 - Drake feat. Giveon - Chicago Freestyle (week 1) -105 points (30 voters; average -3.50) - 02/06/2013 - 2 Chainz & Wiz Khalifa - We Own It (Fast & Furious) (week 2) -105 points (36 voters; average -2.92) - 24/11/2013 - Gary Barlow - Let Me Go (week 1) -105 points (35 voters; average -3.00) - 26/01/2014 - Jason Derulo - Trumpets (week 7) -105 points (37 voters; average -2.84) - 24/04/2020 - Michael Ball, Captain Tom Moore & The NHS Voices Of Care Choir - You'll Never Walk Alone (week 1) -104 points (36 voters; average -2.89) - 17/11/2013 - Robbie Williams - Go Gentle (week 1) -103 points (40 voters; average -2.58) - 13/04/2014 - Pharrell Williams - Happy (week 18) As you can tell by all those being in either 2013-2014 or the last 4 weeks, most time periods haven't had enough voters to make such low points realistically possible. By average? 'GOOBA' is by far the worst in the list above, but there are 2 worse ones in my records: -4.63 average (-74 points; 16 voters) - 23/05/2010 - Leeds United Team & Supporters - Leeds, Leeds, Leeds (Marching On Together) (week 1) -4.14 average (-87 points; 21 voters) - 28/02/2010 - Helping Haiti - Everybody Hurts (week 3) -4.08 average (-147 points; 36 voters) - 15/05/2020 - 6ix9ine - GOOBA (week 1) -4.00 average (-96 points; 24 voters) - 20/06/2010 - Shout For England feat. Dizzee Rascal & James Corden - Shout (week 2) -4.00 average (-72 points; 18 voters) - 27/06/2010 - Shout For England feat. Dizzee Rascal & James Corden - Shout (week 3) -3.94 average (-63 points; 16 voters) - 08/04/2012 - Chris Brown - Turn Up The Music (week 2) -3.92 average (-94 points; 24 voters) - 27/12/2019 - John Legend - Happy Xmas (War Is Over) (week 1) -3.67 average (-44 points; 12 voters) - 08/01/2012 - Taio Cruz - Troublemaker (week 1) -3.65 average (-84 points; 23 voters) - 21/02/2010 - Helping Haiti - Everybody Hurts (week 2) -3.64 average (-80 points; 22 voters) - 21/03/2010 - Justin Bieber feat. Ludacris - Baby (week 2) -3.58 average (-86 points; 24 voters) - 29/11/2009 - The X Factor Finalists 2009 - You Are Not Alone (week 2) -3.57 average (-75 points; 21 voters) - 21/11/2010 - Westlife - Safe (week 1) -3.55 average (-78 points; 22 voters) - 05/01/2018 - Ed Sheeran - Perfect (week 14) -3.54 average (-99 points; 28 voters) - 21/06/2019 - Chris Brown feat. Drake - No Guidance (week 2) -3.52 average (-81 points; 23 voters) - 14/06/2019 - Chris Brown feat. Drake - No Guidance (week 1) -3.50 average (-84 points; 24 voters) - 22/11/2009 - The X Factor Finalists 2009 - You Are Not Alone (week 1) -3.50 average (-105 points; 30 voters) - 02/06/2013 - 2 Chainz & Wiz Khalifa - We Own It (Fast & Furious) (week 2) -3.50 average (-84 points; 24 voters) - 28/06/2019 - Chris Brown feat. Drake - No Guidance (week 3) 6ix9ine's previous top 10 hit 'KIKA' registers just outside, with a -3.48 average. I'm not sure why this list has so many 2009-2010 songs, but I'm guessing it's due to those years having more charity records, and often-lower voting numbers making lower averages easier (thus making 'GOOBA' extra impressive). Now let's see how his second week (coincidentally in thread #569!) goes

  24. It's a bit late, but have you looked at other options? Because I believe, since non-charting singles are now eligible, she has a bunch of possibilities including... 'It's No Secret', 'Turn It Into Love', 'Cowboy Style', some Christmas songs (?), 'Golden', 'A Lifetime To Repair', 'Music's Too Sad Without You' and 'New York City'. I have no idea whether any of those would be more popular than 'Your Disco Needs You' though. I'm guessing probably not since although I feel like 'Your Disco Needs You' would struggle outside of her fanbase, the same probably applies to all those. Personally though, I'm not really a fan of 'Your Disco Needs You', but I love 'A Lifetime To Repair' (single edit; it actually didn't stand out to me originally, but after the edit came out it grew to become my favourite song from the album), and I just gave 'Cowboy Style' a listen (as I've heard of it and knew it was bound to be interesting) and enjoyed it.
  25. As it's been expanded to non-charting singles as well, I believe a whole bunch of her country and/or US singles would be eligible, including: Tim McGraw again :') Our Song Picture To Burn Should've Said No Change Fifteen Back To December Mean The Story Of Us Sparks Fly Two Is Better Than One (Boys Like Girls) Half Of My Heart (John Mayer) Highway Don't Care (Tim McGraw) Babe (Sugarland) Wikipedia puts 'Getaway Car' in her singles table which is very tempting but that was just an Australian radio single so it wouldn't count. Most of those can go straight to the veto pile, and no doubt 'Out Of The Woods' is more popular than all of them, but I feel 'Out Of The Woods' could be worth saving until later if there was a good alternative, so would any of those do well enough? I'm... not sure  'Sparks Fly' would be my best guess as it's a great song and very pop-friendly. But probably 'New Romantics' would get more votes than any of them anyway.
