The sped-up 'Green Green Grass' wasn't released that long ago; it's just been given a false release date to sort it into a certain place in his releases. (I hate those so much. Like, for example, how Tate McRae's 'she's all i wanna be' was released in February 2022 but the acoustic version claims to have been released in November 2021, 1 day before her single 'feel like shit', presumably so that 'feel like shit' can still appear more prominently on her latest releases.) According to the date of the , which is one date that can't actually be manipulated (to my knowledge, and so far...), it was released on 19 January 2023. Last.fm also claims 20 January 2023 and you can see on the "listening trend" graph that it has no listeners until that date. Lastly, its ISRC is "GB-ARL-23-00058", and though ISRCs don't entirely fit release dates as they're more dependent on when a song was registered (and rely on labels assigning them properly), the nearest existent numbers around it (00055, 00057, 00060) are January/February 2023 releases.

It is weird - when I first saw the "sped up nightcore" artist I assumed it was unofficial uploads, but eventually saw it enough times on official-looking releases that I figured it must be a label creation. I would guess the artist crediting depends on whether they want the song to appear on the artist's page - perhaps some artists' management would rather not have these clogging up their pages so this is a convenient place to put them instead. Granted, they could achieve almost the same thing by crediting the artists as just features so they'd only appear in the "appears on" section with all the assorted compilations. There are a couple similar 'artists' that I think are equivalents for other labels, like "sped up + slowed" (seemingly used by Sony), "Sped Up Songs + Nightcore" (Warner) and "Speed Radio" (Universal). For 'Bloody Mary'... I see there's this one which credits "sped up nightcore" (as well as "Farizki"), but it's actually a different "sped up nightcore" presumably imitating the 'real thing' (this one only has 567k monthly listeners whereas the main one has 11.1m), and it looks entirely unofficial to me. However, the sped-up 'Bloody Mary' credited to "sped up viral" has an official-looking ISRC from Universal (and has 7 million plays). The other 3 releases on the "sped up viral" page are random unofficial things released in the 2 months since 'Bloody Mary', so perhaps Universal decided to start a new page but in the absence of further releases, other people are trying to stake a claim to it? :lol:

I would guess it's official - firstly because I think the "sped up nightcore" artist is used for official releases, and secondly because its ISRC has Atlantic Records' label code ("US-AT2-23-01358"; by comparison 'Just Wanna Rock' is "US-AT2-22-19211").

This is moving fast; it went silver in June 2020 and gold in December 2021. Interestingly it still only has 11.4 million Spotify plays worldwide, suggesting most of its streams are coming from other services (Amazon?). I wonder if one of the white noise tracks on Spotify will ever go silver - "Clean White Noise - Loopable with no fade" by "White Noise Baby Sleep" has 967 million Spotify plays, but likely a tiny fraction of that once repeat plays are filtered out (on last.fm it has an average of 595 plays per listener). Surprised this hadn't gone silver yet, but good to see it finally get there!

To my knowledge I don't think top 200s exist publicly after 2013 (or maybe 2014?). kingofskiffle (one of the people who run UKChartsPlus) said semi-recently that 2015 is the latest one that he has, but that it was never published:

RAYE's album release date was announced in October, both before 'Escapism.' hit the charts (so I doubt #1 would've seemed likely at the time) and before Shania's release date was announced. (Though I suppose she could've changed the date later if she felt another week had a better chance.)

These 2 were released in 2020 and 2021 respectively FYI.
