Does anyone know if you could stream multiple versions of a song to contribute more to its chart performance? There are two versions of Bowie's Let's Dance in the Spotify top 200. Could it work like multi-buying if they are treated as separate on Spotify ie, contribute 2 X 0.7 chart sales ?

Regarding the Christmas songs being majorly boosted by featuring in playlists: this doesn't seem much different to me than a song being play listed on a radio station. The charts are always going to be influenced by someone - be it radio or streaming play listing. This just seems like the modern equivalent. I guess the main difference is that streaming play listing results in passive consumption of music, whereas hearing on the radio wouldn't necessarily encourage you to actually stream/buy the music in your own time.
