Friday 14 October 2016 - The Vamps & Matoma - All Night Wow the new Vamps single is very different from their usual guitar pop! :o Just heard it there and its very good.

Why would you want that? I am glad they play new artists a lot aswell as the big songs from the big artists. I hate commercial radio sorely for this reason. The same pop music tracks on heavy rotation all day every day is not what I am interested in!

I've noticed nearly every day at about 3:40 Scott Mills plays a new song that isn't on the playlist. That song today was James Arthur's new one. First time I heard it. Was actually not bad tbh.

I think it's Ellie Goulding. Calvin was talking about doing a song with Ellie when he was on R1 the day TIWYCF premiered.

There was no ToTD because of Bank Holiday Monday. They just played Summer Mixes all day and it was actually really good! Best thing Radio 1 have done in ages IMO Easy day for the DJ's aswell as the hardly spoke all day apart from the odd shoutout and every 15 minutes or so telling us the previous songs then introducing the news every hour lol.

Heard this for the first time at the VMA's and instantly liked it. So listened to it on Spotify and liked it more. Massive tune!
