I've just finished listening to the album all the way through for the first time and I wanted to share my thoughts.
I love this album. I think it's definitely the progression they referred to a while back and it's a lot more mature than their last two albums. My favourites at the moment are Diana, You and I, Strong, Happily and Something Great, but they're all good in their own way.
I really don't feel that Midnight Memories should have been their next release, although I can see the direction they're trying to take in releasing it - they're maturing in themselves so they want to show it in their music. I do feel there are many better offerings on the album which could easily have shown their development and progression in a better light.
I really want them to release Something Great. I think it really portrays their strengths and I believe they'll gain new, more mature fans as well as appealing to the general public in the process.
All in all a strong album - one I'll be playing for a while to come!
