  1. I downloaded the album because I love Down With The Trumpets. Bit of a guilty pleasure because Rizzle Kicks are pretty PG13. The album is terrible though.
  2. Saw Marina last night at the Little Noise Sessions. She was amazing as usual - her voice sounded sublime in the church venue. She didn't really do anything that we haven't already heard; songs off the new album were; Radioactive Jealousy Living Dead Starring Role Fear and Loathing Fear and Loathing was especially good, epic ending. I can't help feel though that Jealousy and Living Dead are Family Jewels leftovers. The demos seem to have been around forever.

I think Shane does some despicable things but for some reason, I find him quite likeable as a character. I think he has a lot of redeeming factors which is why I don't think they'd kill him off just yet.
  4. Yawn. Marcus was better when he was doing Moves Like Jagger.
  5. She killsed it. A few tears should help her last a few extra weeks as well, it didn't hurt Cher. Kind of agree with Gary though, these songs seemed designed to win votes, but I think it was the rapping dancehall Misha that people initially liked.

I only discovered Kendrick Lamar recently when I was looking up acts similar to the Weeknd. Section 80 is an amazing album - definitely worth getting.
  7. I think the majority of Little Mix's success has been down to song choice. Every week they've done something that's probably going to be played in Tiger Tiger, and a big part of Xfactor's audience is people pre drinking before hitting town. I think the most "far out" they went was I'm Like A Bird.

Trying to think what would go with the songs you listed, might be a bit off the mark: Dilated Peoples - This Way N.E.R.D - Hypnotize U Kendrick Lamar - No Make Up Jurassic 5 - Thin Line Stanton Warriors - Get Up DJ Format - Hit Song DJ Zinc - Wile Out
  9. First impressions of this album is that it's more consistent than Loud. That isn't really a good thing though. Loud had 5 songs that were between 7/10 and 10/10, and the rest were terrible. All the TTT songs are just kind of middling at the moment... Cockiness and Drunk On Love are the only songs that have stuck out. I think this album will spawn hits because of Rihanna's status but I think none of them will be remembered long, falling into that same bucket as Hate That I Love You and Shut Up & Drive. I need some new Rihanna that will make me go mental in a club like What's My Name does. Nothing on this album is doing it. Take Care is better than anything on this album.

There's only so many suburban events they can do every week. The BBQ, the money raiser, the sweet 16... They need some over arching stories to keep you coming back every week. It's obviously going to be George and Dallas getting closer but they need to get closer now because they're the best characters.

This just needs to be the Dallas show. This week's episode was alright, but I feel that Tessa's bits are just set up for funny Dallas moments.
  12. Great video. Manages to do the whole pagan goddess thing without looking like it was set at the village fete after party (Shake It Out).

I think Fringe was at it's best at with the last few episodes of season 2 and first few of season 3. It kind of went downhill a bit during season 3 though, especially the disappointing ending. Season 4 has been good so far, but not great. The most recent episode was good but it was almost the exact same story as the white tulip episode, which I think is possibly one of the greatest TV episodes EVER.

Schmidt became amazing in the thanksgiving episode.
  15. I thought it was more Natasha Bedingfield - Angel (was that Stargate?)
  16. Song and video are cheddar. I just cannot understand the love for this song, IMO it's the worst on the album. Hopefully it is never properly released and just falls into the "is it or is it not a single" territory that Upgrade U and Suga Mama fell into. End Of Time and I Was Here are the remaining singles on this album.
  17. Suggestions for movie week: Marcus - PCD - Jai Ho (Slumdog) Janet - Lykke Li - Possibility (one of the Twilights) Craig - Cat Power - Sea of Love (Juno) Little Mix - April March - Chick Habit (Deathproof) Amelia - Brit & Alex - Let It Go (Step Up 2) Misha - DC - Independent Women (Charlie's Angels) I'm predicting that will NEVER happen and we will get Little Mix doing Time of My Life which goes into the BEP version and Craig doing something from Lion King. Would quite like to see Independent Women and Can't Fight The Moonlight.
  18. I love it. New sound but it's pure Marina. I'm looking forward to the new album.

I agree. This season seems like it's spinning out stories which should be resolved within at least a couple of episodes. Things like them not getting the respirator in the episode when they decided they need one, things like that feel like they should be resolved within one episode. I've just downloaded episode 5. Hopefully there's some good zombie action which, other than the walker in the well, seems to have been pretty tame this season.
  20. Saw them in Liverpool. Started off brilliant, bit of a lull for the second half, great encore. The crowd were shit though. Don't know if it's me acting like an old man but crowds nowadays just don't seem to be anywhere near as rowdy as they used to be. My theory is that ticket prices have turned concert going into a middle class event...lots of milling about...not much moshing. Kelly Clarkson at MEN on her Breakaway tour had a wilder crowd than Arctic Monkeys in Liverpool.

Like I thought, definitely benefits from the radio edit. I wish that every chorus was like the last one though... the drop is ace.

I found a stream here: http://josepvinaixa.blogspot.com/2011/11/l...e-premiere.html It's good but I think this will benefit from a radio edit.

Can someone point me in the right direction because blogsearch and hypem aren't helping me!
  24. That video is bad...like really bad. Why does Louis look so hilarious driving a mini?

I think the episodes have slowly been declining in quality, except the Halloween episode, which bucked the trend slightly. The funniest bits of the show are easily the bits with Dallas or George.
