I thought this was alright...not sure whether I'll stick with it though. If it's just going to be one case every week then I think the concept will get tired pretty quickly, especially if the first case was anything to go by. I mean, you could see the "twist" coming from a mile off.

I liked the setup at the end. The show always works best when the gang are together and too much of this season has been spent with them warring. I thought it was going to be a similar ending to season 1 where they have dish out the roles for their new drug business, but then...boom. I've heard it's either Esteban or Tim (the DEA agent's son) in the bushes...

I didn't find this finale as moving as the season 1 finale but it was still good. It's going to be interesting to see how things develop now in season 3.
  4. Sounds like a successor to The Outsider. Good, but sounds like it would be more at home on the Family Jewels.
  5. I like this but I wish it was better. The synth riff is pretty boring, the hook isn't up to much and there isn't a decent drop. Bounce and Feel So Close seem so much more sophisticated than this.
  6. Shake It Out has just clicked with me...the melody of the verses is so good...it makes a little bit teary-eyed for some reason. And then the chorus is great simple but suitably epic. This has restored my faith after Water, which was a big let down IMO.
  7. Paradise sounds like a Ryan Tedder song, especially with the "para-para-paradise" hook...although, I don't think it really works.
  8. My mum sent me Video Games a few months ago and I was immediately obsessed. It just pains me that my mum has more street cred than me.
  9. Car Song is great, mainly because of Santogold but still...great track. I downloaded quite a few Spank Rock tracks a few years ago but never really got it. The producers of this album and Car Song makes me think this is going to be more up my street.

I will give this a try as I quite enjoy found footage films and it looks pretty fun. I'm just imagining it as a cross between Cloverfield and Blair Witch, but that's just based on the trailer I've seen at the cinema.

Yeah? This just looks like a typical "found footage" film with a silly concept. Am I wrong?

Same. I suspect that's where those million viewers went between the first and second episode. After watching the first episode, I was happily able to go into work and judge anyone that remotely enjoyed this as a complete and utter moron.

That line is bad, and you think it can't get any worse...until you hear this; "Now I love a bad boy mentality But I don't want to be visiting no jail" But yeah, I still enjoy the song. I liked it when she did it at Big Weekend and had the brass section doing the little synth riffs.

This is the most moronic thing I've ever seen.
  15. This needs to be released already. Her first album has never left my "regular play". You can't have a pre lash / party / after party without Shove It, Creator and Unstoppable. And then Lights Out and I'm A Lady are always good for a sunday afternoon. Santogold sounds just as fresh as it did when it came out.
  16. This is only doing well because of the performance and the ridiculous pregnancy reveal. I think this will soon lose momentum. Countdown, End Of Time and I Was Here are the remaining singles on this album.
  17. She must do - I really can't see Radio 1 playlisting this otherwise. A bit like when they playlisted Call Your Girlfriend cuz Robyn was due in for a live lounge.
  18. He looks like such a doof in the video. Hopefully all the idiotic girls and middle aged women that voted for him on xfactor will realise he's just some fugly douche bag and not buy into this.
  19. I can't tell whether Timbaland is a genius for doing a Moombahton track...or whether this is just terrible. Pitbull is actually bearable in this song.
  20. I agree... It sounds like the song was built around the idea of having a crescendo and everything else is just secondary.
  21. I Just Wanna F just sounds like Pon De Floor via Guetta. It's not too bad actually.
  22. I don't see this as selling out because I don't think it'll be a hit...I reckon it will do about as well as Hollywood. This feels like a really natural thing for Marina to do to me. She's constantly referencing popstars and pop culture in her songs that it seems quite fitting that she's releasing such a brazen pop song. Personally, I don't really like the 'dance' version (although it has grown a lot), but I'm loving the acoustic version. For me, the acoustic version shows that the only thing that separates the 'dance' version from the rest of her back catalog is the production.
  23. The production of this is too euro dance for me. I'd have preferred it if the production was more sophisticated, it would've fit the lyrics and melody better. I reckon there will be some great remixes of this.
  24. From the popjustice interview: Okay, well that’s like a really 70s thing, it’s set in the desert... I just think every artist always has something at the core of them that fascinates them and inspires them. In the beginning I had exactly the same thought - “oh God, I’m still inspired by America, I don’t want to make ‘Hollywood Pt II’”. And it’s not like that. I’m just really inspired by that topic and that culture and I think I always will be. It’s kind of like how every longterm artist always has a thread running through their image, or their lyrics, and that’s mine. America.
