Weeds
Even though season 6 wasn't as good as the previous seasons, it's still compelling viewing. The main thing it was lacking was Celia. Seriously, I think the funniest scene ever was when Isabelle put the alarm clock next to Celia's head. Still, I can't wait for the new season. The Jenji Kohan has hinted it might be the final season.

Yelle - Safari Disco Club //
I completely forgot there was a new album! I downloaded Safari Disco Club the song when it first came out but it kinda drifted into the distance. I'm just listening to the album for the first time now. It's quite enjoyable...the songs are all pretty consistent but there's nothing so far which rivals Ce Jeu or Amour Du Sol except Que Veux Tu.

Debut single Invisible: http://ryanseacrest.com/2011/06/16/world-p...nvisible-audio/ I like it.

The Weeknd 'House of Balloons/Thursday/Echoes of Silence'
Brilliant. Yet I'm still trying to come to terms with how great House of Balloons is...don't know if I can handle this!

Rabiosa - 3rd Single
I actually love Rabiosa...at first I thought it was a bit of a lame attempt at Hips Don't Lie part 2 but now I sort of appreciate it as this insanely catchy mini pop song. I saw her in Paris on Monday and the show has given me new appreciation for the Sale El Sol album - especially Antes De Las Seis. Absolutely amazing song.

Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger
The chorus is just appalling. The melody isn't too bad but the lyrics are just...WOW. This sounds like a Tila Tequila reject.

CSS 'La Liberación'
I thought they split up? Anyway...I'm kinda looking forward to this. I thought Donkey had some good songs. Believe Achieve, Move and Left Behind are all A* for me.

Rabiosa - 3rd Single
Ratata! I like it.

Nicola Roberts - Beat Of My Drum
I voted number 1...I don't know why, but I think somehow this will eventually go number 1, but probably in about 6 weeks.

WZRD 'WZRD'
Meh...not bad. Not as good as Erase Me. At least it's better than Lil' Wayne's rock/rap.

Skylar Grey 'Invisible' & 'Invincible'
I suppose, but I don't think Keri Hilson ever reached the type of success people were expecting. I will rephrase what I said and say I think Skylar Gray will have similar levels of success as Keri Hilson.

Skylar Grey 'Invisible' & 'Invincible'
I think her solo career will go pretty much the same way as Keri Hilson's. They're good writers and as featured artists but there's something about them that stops them working as solo artists.

Rabiosa - 3rd Single
I think the JLo thing is confirmed as fake. Boo. I want this to be a hit too. It's very likeable.

01. Whenever, Wherever Score: 9.545 weRHyjj34ZE The song that kicked it all off... There's not much to say about it other than bask in its glory. It sounded amazing in 2002 and still holds up today. Future/already classic.

02. She Wolf Score: 9.413 booKP974B0k A risky song that was a new direction for Shakira, but also completely different to anything else in the charts. It didn't really pay off, despite being so well received by critics. This never really clicked with me, I don't really find it that catchy and sort of wish the production had a bit more "oomph" but a lot of people do really like it. The main thing with this song is that it basically kicked off the She Wolf era with all the frustrations that plagued it throughout - poor planning and promotion. In America, it was released to radio and itunes in July but the video premiered a ridiculously long time afterwards and then she only started promoting it in September! Even the UK where she had good promo slots like Jonathan Ross and Jools Holland, the single release was too long after the video release which caused a fake version to chart on iTunes and prompted a Wednesday release which robbed this song of a number 1 spot.

03. Underneath Your Clothes Score: 8.818 (scored about .00001 more than HDL) fLZdO7ZNRwE For some reason the UYC video is unavailable in my country so here is a great performance from TOTP. This song was the song that cemented my love for Shakira. Whenever Wherever was brilliant but it's hard to buy into a new artist from one song and this was a brilliant follow up. It showed a completely different side to Shakira whilst still being equally captivating.

04. Hips Don't Lie Score: 8.818 DUT5rEU6pqM This is probably Shakira's signature song now but it was pretty controversial amongst fans when it was released, mainly because it was a reworked version of a song that already existed and - shock horror - featured a rapper. At the time it seemed so UN-Shakira like, but now this song is the epitome of Shakira. She completely made this her own and took it to the top and deserves all the credit for this being one of the biggest songs of all time. It's ridiculously catchy and highly danceable. It's hard not to love.

05. La Tortura Score: 8.704 Dsp_8Lm1eSk This is possibly my favourite Shakira song. It's almost flawless from start to finish; distinctive intro, seductive verses and pre chorus, killer chorus, amazing bridge from Alejandro Sanz and then the equally amazing "ay ay ay" outro. The production was bang on trend as well preempting the reggaeton explosion. The video is possibly one of Shakira's best as well - crazy choreography and the ridiculous oil scenes. It's no wonder that this was such a crossover. Just a shame it couldn't have crossed over into the UK.

First CD album you bought?
The first Spice Girls album. I bought it in the New Year 1997 with my Christmas money.

Keri Hilson (feat. Nelly) 'Lose Control'
Pretty Girl Rock just isn't a hit song. It's nice and a bit catchy but that's about it. Lose Control sounds like a smash. The delay in releasing it is very frustrating. I hope it turns into a hit.

Cocknbullkid - Adulthood
Same; someone recommended her to me ages ago and I just wasn't into it. However, I saw her last year supporting Marina and the diamonds and her set was pretty good. I'll probably check out this album.

Woodkid - Iron
Someone just sent me this amazing video / song: ypBp68sROuE Could someone please enlighten me with more information about Woodkid? All I found from a quick internet search was that he's working on his first album including some surprising collaborations. The Iron EP is on iTunes now.
