Tinie Tempah feat. Zara Larsson - Girls Like
Just heard this for the first time and is the sample not the same as Truffle Butter? jgBWeoJdbhA I like it.

Gwen Stefani - Baby Don't Lie
I love this. The production is very Sean Kingston - No Letting Go (which is a tune so I approve).

Ultraviolence
I'm starting to think Old Money might be up there with Video Games...

New Black Beauty is amazing. I mean, the potential was always there but I didn't expect it to be THAT good. It's up there with most of the Born To Die songs for me. The rest of the album has such a different vibe to BTD that it's hard to compare the two. I love the production but there doesn't seem to be as many instant hooks. Not that this is a bad thing...at first I thought Shades of Cool was pretty weak but it's grown on me immensely. The songs that initially stuck out to me (other than the singles so far) are: Black Beauty f***ed My Way To The Top Money Power Glory Old Money

US TV Ratings 28/04
I stopped watching New Girl at about the time when Coach came back into. The main problem for me was the Nick/Jess relationship which basically boiled down to every episode being about Jess being an extrovert and Nick being an introvert and despite their differences, they love each others differences and learn to compromise for each other. I know they have since broken up so maybe I will power through the rest of the season on a hangover day.

Lykke Li 'I Never Learn'
This is the best album since Born To Die for me. Only problem is it's too damn short! 9 songs?!

West Coast
It's been driving me insane all day but it's finally dawned on me what that guitar riff into the chorus sounds like: b_F84PrPBZU I'm loving this so far...it's pretty much what I was expecting from Lana at this point. Yes, it's a bit lacking in the melody department but I think the overall package works pretty well.

Game of Thrones (Season 4)
I thought that was the best season opener since the pilot. Really nicely paced and everything linked together. Sometimes GoT has the tendency to seem like lots of different scenes all over the place with not much tying them together but with a lot of the characters in Kings Landing, this seems to have been avoided. Brilliant opening scene with the forging of the two swords as well... Tywin looking very menacing. Also, anyone else think it's interesting that George Martin released the "Mercy" chapter from Winds of Winter about a week ago? It's like the writers are confirming just how much they know...

Shakira - Shakira.
I've got to say... I think this is Shakira's worst album. Can't Remember To Forget You - My opinion on this hasn't really changed; great verses, terrible chorus. Empire - A good song but I don't think this is actually as great as everyone makes out, I think it's lacking a melody that's as epic as its production. You Don't Care About Me - Not heard Dare - Ok, so this is amazing. The production is top notch and I think it's got enough influences from other genres like Kuduro to not sound generic or dated. The lyrics are basic but have that tinge of ridiculousness that could only be Shakira. The melody of the verses is kind of jarring but in a good way. I feel like this is already the song of the summer. Cut Me Deep - Not bad and this will probably grow. It starts off very authentic but then descends into 90s style No Doubt and ends sounding quite dated. 23 - Oh my god...this lyrics are just awful....they're like a gushing love letter hashed into a sickly guitar ballad. The One Thing - This has potential but like much of the album sounds really dated. This is lacking that Dr Luke touch to give this that modern feeling, so like someone else points out, it sounds pretty Avril. Listen to Taylor Swift - 22 and imagine this with that slick pop sound. It would be so much better. Medicine - Hmmm...not sure about this. I love country but this seems to be lacking a strong melody. Maybe it's a grower. Also, I don't know if Blake and Shakira's voices blend that well - Shakira has a very full sounding voice whereas Blake sounds quite whiny. Spotlight - Terrible. Sounds like the soundtrack of an early 00s high school movie. Maybe this could've been saved by a better production... I feel like they were going for that Demi Lovato sound but it's a fine line between that and sounding cheesy and dated. This is definitely on the wrong side of that. Broken Record - Not horrendous and I think this might be a grower. There are some really nasty vocal traits on this though. Loca Por Ti - I couldn't even finish this. So boring. That Way - Kind of nice but doesn't hold a torch to her other piano ballads...Tu, La Pared and Lo Que Mas are all far superior to this. Chasing Shadows - Good. But possibly sounds too 80s... Sounds like something Little Boots could've written. Overall, I can't get over how dated this album sounds. Sale El Sol was a bit of a mess of an album but it had a few high points - Devocion, Gordita, Rabiosa, Antes De Las Seis, Lo Que Mas - while I feel that Dare is this album's only true high point.

Shakira - Shakira.
Well she has stated pretty openly that this album is going to be back to her rock roots. Empire wouldn't have really sounded out of place on Donde Estan Los Ladrones, Laundry Service or Oral Fixation. Like I said in the other post, I'm not really here for that either. The She Wolf album was criminally underrated and I feel like if it was more successful we wouldn't necessarily be getting this sonic regression.

Shakira - Empire
I don't think Empire is a single, it's just a pre-order song at the moment...maybe it'll be a single at some point. It really reminds of Uninvited - the vocal delivery especially. I think it sounds very on point at the moment...that kind of theatrical sound. I'm not 100% sure I like it though...It's like the production is there but I'm not sure the melody is though. It's not really what I want from Shakira though. For me she's best when using more unusual sounds which is what makes songs like Men In This Town, La Tortura, She Wolf and Gordita so good.

YFeE1mcaeuo Worked with John Hill, Neyo and Sia (of course). I love Shakira but I fear that this album is going to be a mess. I don't know why... I'm just getting Sale El Sol feelings about this where songs are plucked from lots of random sessions and have no consistency. Shakira always has pretty eclectic album but Laundry Service, Oral Fixation 1 and 2 and She Wolf all sound like cohesive albums. She was pretty much ready to release an album in 2012. She had filmed the video for Truth or Dare but then she got preggers and it kind of looks like that album got scratched. I guess that's part of the reason I'm getting "mess" feelings. Also, CRTFY as a first single just baffles me. She Wolf is going to be such a hard album to beat for me. Personally, it's up there with those brilliant but flawed pop albums like Blackout and B'Day.

Shakira feat. Rihanna - Can't Remember To Forget You
Spanish version:

Shakira feat. Rihanna - Can't Remember To Forget You
I don't get why Rihanna's verse is better than Shakira's? They're pretty much identical. IMO, Rihanna doesn't really add much to this song. Not she sounds bad, she sounds great - but there's not much dynamic between the two singers. It could very easily be a solo song. I'm assuming she's just there as a big name draw because Shakira does struggle to get a hit.

I love the verses of this but the chorus is a bit of a let down. I just wish it wasn't so heavy. Push N Shove is a better version of this song.- Game of Thrones (Season 4)
I'm really interested to see what happens with the storylines this season. Up to the end of season 3 everything pretty much matched the pace of the books but now it seems like the writers are going to have to get a bit creative with the source material, especially with Dany's storyline. I can't see her besieging Mereen for the whole season. I hope they add some of her more intimate scenes like when . Despite having some amazing scenes in season 3, she didn't have chance to show much of her character. One scene that I really hope makes it into the TV series is when It's such a sick scene but is so brilliant because it illustrates how messed up these characters are. This is one of the reason's I was kind of disappointed Jaime got back to Kings Landing at the end of season 3...because it's before the purple wedding.- Shakira feat. I actually think season 6 has been an improvement on season 5. The problem with this show is that after season 4 Leslie lost her naivety and just became annoying. Leslie is the worst character on this show now. The thing that keeps this show alive is the supporting cast and this season Donna, April and Tom have all been on form. The trouble is, the episodes seem to consist of a Ben and Leslie storyline which is dreary and unfunny, and a rest of cast storyline which is usually pretty good. Maybe getting rid of Chris and Ann will help streamline things and get things back on track.- "ANTI" // 8th Album
Apparently Shakira's first single is going to be featuring Rihanna. Joseph Kahn confirmed he shot Shakira's video but lots of people saying Rihanna was there to. - Shakira feat. Rihanna - Can't Remember To Forget You
