iTunes Chart: August 2010
I hope the Hoosiers don't crack the top 10. I don't care that Popjustice are bumming them now, they're still utterly crap.

The Writer | 4th single
That's what I did when Guns and Horses came out. The album wasn't as $h!t as I initially thought on reinspection. It's still pretty bland and samey. This Love, Starry Eyed, The Writer, Guns and Horses, Under the Sheets and Salt Skin are all above par though, IMO, and 6 decent songs on an album is respectable.

Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) World Cup single
21 this week. Glad it reached a new peak. And even though it's hardly setting the charts on fire, it's got some staying power considering it has practically zero airplay. Not in either the radio or the tv airplay charts.

Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) World Cup single
It will defo appear online...it'll be shown somewhere.

Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) World Cup single
I doubt it will be shown in the UK. They didn't show her last performance at the World Cup Final.

zomfgz...it is a tune. This is her most generic album. I miss the world sounds but enjoy the more laid back melodies.

TELL ME WHY. Best song so far.

Glastonbury
Apparently she did Inevitable as well but the BBC just completely cut it. They did show a pretty much complete set on the red button.

Shakira In Concert
I'm pretty sure this won't sell out too quick. The Manchester tickets go on sale 9th July so plenty of time to save up again for Xmas prezzies.

What was the last foreign language top 40 hit?
Juanes - La Camisa Negra got Top 40. Don't know when though.

Glastonbury
I thought she was amazing. The crowd seemed to love it and you can tell how pleased Shakira was at the end of HDL. All the reviews were great and everyone I know that was there said it was awesome.

Shakira In Concert
Hopefully she'll have another album out by the time she's touring. She said it'd be out in September so that probably means November.

The Writer | 4th single
Everytime You Go and Your Biggest Mistake are practically the same song to me. This Love is the obvious next single...if she gets another.

Ke$ha - 'Take It Off'
Wanted Hungover. This is too much like her other singles.

Shakira In Concert
Really glad she's doing a full UK tour. Manchester was way overdue. I guess I'll be seeing her there. I saw her in London and it was pretty good, but I also went to see her in Barcelona right at the start of the tour and she was absolutely amazing, but probably because she's more at home performing her Spanish songs, although even in the UK, the setlist was Spanish weighted. The difference was that she swapped Antologia for Illegal which IMO is criminal. I think this tour is going to be way better than the last. Her performances at the recent festivals have been amazing and as long as she does a lot of new material (MEN IN THIS TOWN), she can't go wrong. I can't wait to see She Wolf live, the performance at Glasto and the World Cup were perfect.

The Writer is a good single. This Love is the most obvious single, but it's too similar to G&H and Starry Eyed.

It really is. Think I might wait for an HQ of the album. I'm surprised this hasn't leaked fully yet, TBH.

Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) World Cup single
#38 in the Official Top 40. The video starts getting played next week so hopefully it stays top 40.

Tell Me Why sounds like the highlight.

Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) World Cup single
Not sure if it'll be repeated. It's probably on catch up if you have Virgin. Shakira's performing Waka Waka again at the closing ceremony so hopefully she'll get some more exposure.

Ke$ha - Your Love Is My Drug
I love this song so much it's really unhealthy. And I love the mess of a video. I always thought Kesha was a dick and just mildly enjoyed her songs but now I think she's a genius of the LMAO world.

The official vid: pRpeEdMmmQ0 The WC performance: QFto9CnFi6o This needs to get played in the UK. It's a really great song.

Lady Gaga - Alejandro
My only problem with the video is that it's boring. I think it's quite poorly edited and it just knocks all the pace and excitement out of the song. The best bits of the song are the drops before the chorus when the beat kicks in but the video completely destroys those moments. Like in Telephone when the chorus kicks in and it cuts to Gaga and Beyonce in their Americana gear, it's the perfect visual drop to the audio drop. That's the problem with Alejandro. It's like all the effort went into the IMAGE and ART and being CONTROVERSIAL (even though it's really not) and they forgot that this was a music video representing a song.

Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) World Cup single
I think it will get promoted, especially as the performance will be shown on BBC2 this Thursday. The video is released this week sometime so hopefully it'll make a big impact. The video is out there, it's not great, lots of stock footage from previous world cups. The dancing is cool though. All the vids on youtube are out of synch with the music and pretty lame quality. I'll post it as soon as a decent version is available.
