  1. WW. I'm surprised UYC was number 1, I didn't realise it was such a success in Ireland.
  2. You say that like Kids didn't get played to death  I actually love 60% of this album now. Song For Dan Treacy is the standout for me at the moment.

http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1377 She was born in Colombia but I think she lives in Miami most of the time now.
  4. I Am Not A Robot cover: http://web4.twitpic.com/img/77911233-208c1d0bb23746d00bc615f48c27810b.4ba89fb4-full.jpg
  5. Where did this come from? :o It's pretty good for a cover. It's definitely got me excited for the Spanish album.

Those 2 episodes were pretty good. What the show needed really. The last few episodes before the hiatus were generally rubbish so I'm not surprised no one's tuning back in.
  7. This album is pretty good. My fave is Congratulations - such a nice song.
  8. Completely pointless re release but the new video is nice. Always thought the original was boring.
  9. I bought it. I don't even like it THAT much but I just think it's one of those songs that should do well.

Nah...although after that video, I wouldn't be surprised if they became an item!

She shoulda just stayed in the panda hoody for the whole video. It's definately the highlight.

Don't get this album at all. It's like they removed any personality her music had before and replaced it with blips and wishy washy beats. I still love Under The Sheets and Starry Eyed but the rest all turn into one big mush. The only standout for me is This Love (Will Be Your Downfall). And what they've done to Wish I Stayed is shocking.
  13. Hopefully IANAR gets the epic video it always deserved. The original is lovely in an artsy fartsy way but it does no justice to the song.
  14. First listen - Meh Second listen - Love it. The video is great.

Yeah, that underscore makes all the difference.
  16. I Am Not A Robot is the best choice for a single. There's nothing as single-sounding as that on the album. Are You Satisfied is great but it's too much of a grower and that's not what Marina needs right now.

Full video: t4r6RWYzyuE Meh...nothing spesh but it's pretty nice. I like the harmonica bits.
  18. Agree. Numb is just one of the best songs EVER. I feel that from Hermit the Frog the album becomes amazing. It shows what Marina can do when playing around with different sounds and more unconventional songs.
  19. I love that part. According to Marina, Hollywood is a song she wrote 2 years ago and I think that part shows her inexperience at song writing but it makes it much more endearing to me.
  20. #3 on iTunes album chart. The Family Jewels is quite a nice song.
  21. No no no to Shampain. I remember when there were rumours it was the first single. It's not terrible but I think it's just one of those songs that doesn't really work.

A bit of Gitana leaked but it's quite hard to get hold of...it keeps getting removed from youtube. Hopefully this one stays up: 1TokK6dxN_Y The Freemasons have remixed this and it's actually really good. I'm thinking this could be a hit now. Radio 1 will probably playlist the remix and I'm hoping Radio 2 play the original. We'll have to see...I still think releasing this over MITT is a mistake. I think the label already agreed the singles even before the album came out. You can hear the Freemasons mix here and the Radio Edit of Gypsy which has a few added beats and synths: http://www.tophitru.com/hottracks.shtml?so...amp;f=&sh=2
  25. I think there needs to be a recurrent rule like America, where songs of a certain age can't chart but their progress is still tracked.
