  1. Is it just me or does she look a bit dodgy in that picture?

I've stopped caring about this era now. A flop is a flop and all you can do is sit back and enjoy the music.

I think so, I've read it quoted as that a few times. I guess there's not many people that actually know the truth.
  4. The best track on the album is the Jet song. Love it. I still think the non-Nelly version of Morning After Dark is the superior version. Nelly offers nothing to the track. She's just pasted in because Timabaland + Nelly makes people wet themselves.
  5. I've just got Hollywood on repeat now. Amazing.
  6. Seriously, that performance was terrible. Simulated blow jobs, pulling the keyboard player, flipping the bird and falling over.

Eeek...only 200 000 worldwide. She Wolf is hardly tearing up the charts. Listen to an unreleased track that you should be able to get when the US version is released: http://www.twitvid.com/1C6B6
  8. http://www.thetimbalandbuzz.com/2009/11/sh...t-flo-rida.html Flo Rida version. Rubbish. Actually glad it's Lil Wayne on the final track.

Just thought I'd post this performance because her vocals here are amazing! She absolutely kills the second verse. StLttcGvWtQ

The thing is, at the moment, DIA has nothing to support it. The video is hardly getting played and it's not getting much radio airplay either. The only thing on its side is the X factor performance. I think the problem is the release date. Radio 1 adding it now is pretty typical for its December release. In reality, the song should've been released this week or next week and the video should've been released weeks before it was so that it was peaking now. As it is, the X factor performance is more like debuting the song.

Yay! It's on course to be a decent hit now!

People should request it at Radio 1. Just send them a text. Even if they don't play it, it lets them know the demand is there and they might playlist it.

It's really not. It would've been better sung by some with less vocal talent than Leona, like Katy Perry. Leona's histrionics just turn it into a dribbling wailing mess.
  14. Space in the Woods sounds terrible from the preview. I was going to buy this but I don't think I will anymore, I'll just wait for the album. I never really liked Mowgli's Road anyway. Talking about the album, my favourite song so far is Numb. I really hope it makes the final cut.

Did it Again needs to be a hit! It's just such a good song...yeah, I'm biased...but it's definately my fave off She Wolf.
  16. HQ video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2ktaFohbKQ W2ktaFohbKQ I actually love it. The dancing is just off the chart. Yeah, it looks kinda 90s at times...but that just endears me to it more. In the interview before the video premiered she almost said, but just fell short, that Men In This Town is her favourite song on the album. SINGLE PLEASE.

Live video premiere here: http://www.ustream.tv/Shakira Starts in 10 mins!!!

Well I think the performance was recorded a while ago, hence the not twisted hair. She only really dances on the "eh eh" bits and they kept zooming out at those bits which was really annoying. I thought she might have done the EMA version with more dancers...that would've been more appropriate.

Yeah, she was pretty good on X Factor. I think that little compilation they showed before she performed was the best promo she could've had, WW and UYC are all back in the iTunes top 200. Hopefully she'll start getting decent video play now and the song will sneak into the top 10 on iTunes. I think this will really help the album as well, it's already climbing quickly on iTunes.
  20. Video preview: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20319928,00.html I'm liking what I see so far. Hopefully there will be more scenes.
  21. I think this performance changed my opinion of the song. Before, it never felt like a Shakira song but after that performance, she completely owned it and made it hers. I think the video is going to do that even more. The HDL video had the same effect on me.
  22. WHY??? I keep reading this but I just don't understand why? Is it cuz she got punched and people think a #1 will make her feel better? For me, logic says the Peas deserve it much more. If the Peas get to #1 it feels like a massive victory. I have become so disheartened with the charts because it seems like these acts like Leona can just release any old crap (like Happy) and it gets to #1. This is the big one though, because Leona, everyone's golden girl, is going to lose out to a better track, which is how it should be.
  23. Great performance on Letterman: mo7o_v87Umo
  24. 2006: Maneater Hips Don't Lie Deja Vu SexyBack Going clubbing in 2006 was epic. These songs just made it such great fun because everyone was so into them (maybe not Deja Vu so much). I don't think there's been a set of songs which have been so universally popular when you go out. Or maybe it was just because it was my last year of college/start of uni. Probably more likely the latter.
  25. Anybody heard the B-side, Space and the Woods? Sounds interesting. Released to iTunes Nov 15th.
