http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...ndy-Murray.html http://www.dailystar.co.uk/posts/view/8862...a-dance-riot/t/ http://twitter.com/popjustice Sounds like it's gonna be great! I'm glad she's gone for an upbeat album. I love her ballads but I feel like it was about time she did album full of banging tunes.

SOS she's in disguise SOS she's in disguise There's a she wolf in disguise Coming out Coming out Coming out A domesticated girl that's all you ask of me Darling it is no joke, this is lycanthropy The moon's awake now with eyes wide open My body is craving, so feed the hungry I've been devoting myself to you Monday to Monday and Friday to Friday Not getting enough retirbution or decent incentives to keep me at it I'm starting to feel just a little abused like a coffee machine in an office So I'm gonna go somewhere closer to get me a lover and tell you all about it CHORUS There's a she wolf in the closet Open up and set her free There's a she wolf in your closet Let it out so it can breathe Sitting across a bar staring right at her prey It's going well so far, she's gonna get her way Nocturnal creatures are not so prudent The moon's my teacher, and I'm her student To locate the single man, I've got on me a special radar And the fire department hotline in case I get in trouble later Not looking for cute little divas or rich city guys, I just want to enjoy By having a very good time and behave very bad in the arms of a boy CHORUS There's a she wolf in the closet Open up and set her free There's a she wolf in your closet Let it out so it can breathe SOS she's in disguise SOS she's in disguise There's a she wolf in disguise Coming out Coming out Coming out Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecpI0yWSrS8

For me, the English version is instantly better than Loba. I love how she plays with her voice and twists the English language. It's same how the same song can be so different in a another language but in this case it really is. I'm surprised that after the love-in that this song was having that a lot of negative comments have started appearing all of a sudden.

Thanks for doing this! I'm sure if Latin America was included there'd be a lot more red on those lists.
  6. Drumming is great. Not completely blown away by the rest of the album yet...I'm still loving Girl With One Eye though, just learnt to play it on guitar.
  7. This isn't bad IMO.

I wish that was the cover :( It's just a new poster from the official store but it's soooo good!

http://media.fanfire.com/images/product/large/SKR/SKR47146.jpg Shakira To Debut, Give Away 'She-Wolf' On ABC Music Lounge July 10, 2009 10:36 AM ET Ayala Ben-Yehuda, L.A. Shakira's new single, "She-Wolf," will be available as a free download at the ABC Music Lounge from Sunday, July 12 at 7 p.m. ET until Monday, July 13 at midnight ET."She-Wolf," written and produced by Shakira and John Hill, is the first single from the artist's English-language album, due on Epic in October. ABC's first crack at the song recalls the network's debut of another Epic single, The Fray's "You Found Me."Unlike that promotion, which debuted The Fray's track during a promo for the new season of "Lost" and led to an iTunes purchase opportunity, "She-Wolf" will be given away as a free download Sunday-Monday. Plans are in the works for integrating Shakira's music into more ABC platforms, though a specific promo campaign or program synch hasn't been announced.A Spanish version of "She-Wolf," "Loba," debuts at No. 23 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart this week. http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/shakir...003992629.story
  10. The first picture is stunning. Not sure about the open shirt pic though...maybe a bit much even for Shakira...
  11. This probably won't get many points but I stand my artistic decision to do a female cover without the female ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/pudsack/vvbrown.png

The instruments and the chorus as mimed. The drummer drops his stick at 1min: 2Mwz-QaXSiM
  13. Then they are completely misguided then. I heard that their new record label wants to break them in America and that's what this song is for. This isn't why people love the Sugababes. Masterpieces like Freak Like Me and Push The Button are the reason people love them. They could've gone off and created something in that vein and got another hit in the UK.
  14. I have no problem with generic - I mean, give me a Timbaland beat and I'm halfway there to loving a song. But this is just so bad. I can't work out what song the pre chorus rips off yet...something like Fergie maybe. But it's the lyrics that get me...I feel like they typed "female act, sexy, club" into a machine and using every other crappy club banger out there they came up with this. "Hey sexy, look but don't touch, I'm so sexy in this club." I just can't even begin to articulate how terrible that excuse for a chorus is. It makes me physically sick. It's like it was written by the manatees that write Family Guy in South Park.
  15. But what she says isn't edgy - it's boring and idiotic. I'm all for pop stars having an opinion and voicing it, my point is that I don't think La Roux is endearing anyone to her by voicing hers. When Lily Allen slagged Madonna off, people went "yeah, Lily's right, Madonna is irrelevant." When La Roux starts talking about why woman are abused she sounds like an idiotic 13 year old.
  16. That's the point I think she's constantly trying to make too, "I don't use sex to sell"/"my music sells itself" blah blah etc etc but I think this is so tired and boring now. Maybe that would've been applicable in 1999 but not now. I think there are loads of females out there now that don't use sex to sell or sacrifice anything to sell their music; all your Lily Allens, Kate Nash, Santogold, MIA, Florence etc etc. So I don't think she's an antithesis of a pop star at all. I think she fits in quite neatly with the current trend that list makers seem to love; girls doing it for themselves. And this is why she pisses me off; because her music does sell itself, I enjoy it and think it's good. Yet she's constantly coming out with these silly quotes trying to look like the hard done to pop star who's made it despite being surrounded by silicone boobs and fake hair. Yawn yawn yawn.
  17. And I've just realised they say "mall." THEY'RE NOT AMERICAN.
  18. I think this is one of the worst things I've heard. I thought it was a joke at first. I think they threw in possibly every lyrical cliché there was. It sounds like something Flight of the Conchords would record taking the p*** out of Lady Gaga.

I posted a request in the art forum for a new forum banner if anyone is feeling inspired by the new Shakira era ;) HERE

The beat is what makes this song. The chorus isn't that catchy but it's still pretty good...reminds me of stuff from the 90s.
  22. I think this song and I Gotta Feeling just make the perfect soundtrack for Friday night. Yeah the lyrics are pretty dreadful, but who can't relate to wanting to go out and get smashed.

This is a grower and will probably do ok on the back of Knock You Down. It should keep the album selling as well.
  24. The thing with Lily is she was usually spot on with her remarks and slagged stuff off that needed slagging off. La Roux on the other hand is just whining about stuff we already know in such a banal and snotty way and is acting like she's above everyone because she's topped a few "trendy 09" lists.

Great image for the single cover. The text is $h!t though. Oh well...I think people will be more concerned about how hot she's looking anyway :D
