November 18, 1972 Elvis performed at the Honolulu International Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, at 2.30 and 8.30 p.m. Originally this (or the previous night) show was planned to be the worldwide satellite broadcast. November 18, 1975 Elvis sent a telegram to the Colonel. He thanked him for arranging a special New Year's Eve show at the new Silverdome stadium in Pontiac, Michigan. " We're looking forward to having the best show ever for this event."
