May 26, 1955 http://www.elvisnews.com/images/pow/pow074s.jpg Elvis performed at the Junior College Stadium, Meridian, Mississippi. All performers took a ride in the Jimmie Rodgers celebration parade. May 26, 1956 Elvis performed at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium, Columbus, Ohio at 7.00 and 10.00 p.m. May 26, 1963 Elvis went to RCA's Studio B in Nashville, where he worked from 6.30 p.m. till 5.30 a.m. May 26, 1966 Elvis went into the studio again and worked from 6.30 p.m. until 7.00 a.m. The Imperials were present too and Elvis was extremely happy with their presence. Because Floyd Cramer wasn't available until 9.00 p.m. David Briggs was booked for the early session. Even after the arriving of Cramer, Briggs kept on playing the piano, because Elvis had grown used to his sound. May 26, 1974 Elvis ended his engagement at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel, with an added performance at 3.00 a.m. May 26, 1977 Elvis performed at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena, Binghamton, New York and Ginger left the tour after this show.

May 25, 1955 Elvis performed at the American Legion Hall, Meridian, Mississippi, where Elvis was called back for encore after encore. May 25, 1956 Elvis performed at the Fox Theater, Detroit, Michigan at 4.00, 7.00 and 9.45 p.m. May 25, 1966 Elvis left for Nashville at 1.00 a.m. on a rented Greyhound. At Studio B Elvis met his new producer, Felton Jarvis. According to Chet Atkins, Felton's temperament would suit Elvis better. Felton was already a big fan of Elvis. This was the first time in more than 2 years that Elvis was in the studio to record something else than soundtracks. He had to deliver 2 singles, a Christmas single and a gospel album. Elvis worked form 10.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. on this first night. He concentrated on the album How Great Thou Art, but recorded Tomorrow Is A Long Time from Bob Dylan as well. May 25, 1968 Still on Hawaii, Elvis and Priscilla went to Ed Parker's championship karate tournament at the Honolulu International Center. The couple met with former international light-contact champion Mike Stone. May 24, 1956 Elvis flew to the next gig with Gene Smith and Tom Diskin while the band drove again. Elvis performed at the Municipal Auditorium Arena, Kansas City, Missouri. However, there was a big riot and DJ's drums and Bill's bass were smashed, while DJ himself was thrown into the orchestra pit. The next day the paper wrote: "Elvis Presley flees to car after 20 minutes on stage." At 4.35 Elvis flew to Detroit. May 24, 1959 Elvis had a meeting with Currie Grant, an airman whom Vernon and Lamar had already met in Wiesbaden. May 24, 1965 Principal photography began on Frankie And Johnny. May 24, 1967 Elvis bought Priscilla a special Happy Birthday charm with rubies and sapphires. May 24, 1970 Elvis held a surprise party at Graceland for Priscilla's birthday. May 24, 1972 Elvis flew to Las Vegas where he would stay until the weekend to attend Glen Campbell's show at the Hilton. May 24, 1977 Elvis performed at the Civic Center, Augusta, Maine.

May 18, 1965 Throughout the week Elvis had script rehearsals at the studio. May 18, 1966 The group went to the Fairgrounds again and ate and drunk for more than $100. May 18, 1968 Elvis and Priscilla flew to Hawaii for a vacation with Lisa Marie, Charlie Hodge, the Gambills and the Esposito's. May 18, 1969 Elvis and the group returned from Hawaii to Los Angeles. May 18, 1971 In Nashville 3 more gospels were recorded, including He Touched Me, which would be the title of the album. May 18, 1973 Elvis was taken to a local hospital for some chest X rays and the fans were told that the weekend shows were canceled and Elvis and Linda flew home to Memphis.

Elvis performed at the Shrine Mosque, Springfield, Missouri. May 17, 1957 Elvis wrote a note to the staff of the Cedars of Lebanon Hospital: "Dear Friends, I want you to know how very much I appreciate your very wonderful treatment while I was there. When I went in I was all shook up but I left loving you. Thanks a million. My best to all. Sincerely, Elvis Presley." May 17, 1968 The producer Bob Finkel had hired Steve Binder as director for Elvis' upcoming Christmas special and there was a meeting with Elvis at 8833 Sunset Boulevard to discuss the show. May 17, 1971 On the third recording night in Nashville Elvis started with Help Me Make It Through The Night and Until It's Time For You To Go. Finally Elvis went back to the original reason that he was there for: the gospel album. But after some karate moves the session ended before completing the album. May 17, 1973 Due to illness Elvis had to cancel 2 shows.

They stayed there until June 20, and then they all returned to Tupelo, homesick for family and friends. May 16, 1955 Elvis performed at the Mosque Theater, Richmond, Virginia. May 16, 1956 Elvis performed at the Robinson Memorial Auditorium, Little Rock, Arkansas at 7.00 and 9.30 p.m. Elvis was asked by a local DJ to name his favorite song and Elvis picked "I Was The One", from his first RCA session. May 16, 1957 Elvis was released from the hospital. May 16, 1967 Elvis went to the Memphian to see Peter Sellers' A Shot In The Dark. May 16, 1971 Back in the recording studio in Nashville for his upcoming Christmas album, Elvis and the band started to jam during a break. "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" of Bob Dylan went on for more than 11 minutes. Unfortunately Elvis lost his interest for the Christmas album afterwards and the band did 3 instrumental tracks. May 16, 1974 Elvis performed at the High Sierra Room, Sahara Tahoe Hotel, Stateline, Nevada, where he opened this engagement with 2 cocktail shows.

This tryout didn't get him a job. May 15, 1955 Elvis performed at the Auditorium, Norfolk, Virginia at 3.00 and 8.00 p.m. May 15, 1956 Elvis performed at the Ellis Auditorium, Memphis. May 15, 1957 Elvis had the aspirated cap removed from his lung and was visited in the hospital by Anne Neyland. May 15, 1971 Elvis returned to Nashville to record some songs for his upcoming Christmas album, because RCA had pressured him. Although he was not in the right mood he did complete half the album before breaking off at 4.00 a.m. May 15, 1974 In Lake Tahoe the rehearsals were held at noon, both this day and the following day.
