Subject to certain criteria being the operative part though, i know an unemployed lad, nephew of a very good friend, he has this great idea for an app, he has done market research, has all the designs in place but what he lacks is the money to take it to market, needs about 2k to complete, he is the sort of person that could be helped in this sort of thing, if the government were to invest 2k in him and take a stake in the venture and it is a success then they would get their money back and more, not everyone is suitable for the world of enterprise but those that are and have a great idea shouldn't be left to rot on the dole

Instead of creating non jobs with local authorities that Labour will do with other peoples money it is far better to encourage enterprise and encourage more people to start their own businesses, the successful start ups then create jobs The government instead of subsidising people to sweep floors and make tea for local authority workers, should be getting the unemployed to start their own businesses anyone who wants to start a business (subject to meeting certain criteria) a grant of a couple of thousand and the government take a 49.9% stake in these businesses so if they become a success the government has a stake and can get its money back and more

Which goes to show you don't need to be an expert to do a good job Osbourne is one of the best chancellors of the last 30 or 40 years, not the most likeable of people and is a very smug twat, but he has transformed our economy into a thriving powerhouse economy, the strongest in Europe this year according to predictions, goods are flying off the retail shelves, jobs are being created like not seen in years, the country has a feelgood factor, the only problem is the stubborn debt but the key to getting that down is increased tax receipts and strong growth so it is a project for the next parliament. But without being an economist Osbourne has turned us into a powerhouse that is the envy of Europe so it shows that you do not need to be a qualified economist to do a good job

There has been several policies such as the affordable house building (something that would cost imho billions) that Ed has said would be paid for out of bankers bonuses and a pensions raid, today he is saying that the jobs thing will be paid for out of it too, i am pretty sure i have missed out another policy too that bankers bonuses were going to fund, i just don't believe that the bankers bonuses and raid on pensions will raise that much money, banks will just pay higher basics and reduce the bonuses, then when Ed realises there is not enough in the pot from pensions to fund these grandiose schemes £150k pensions raid will soon become £100k and then £75k and soon non rich people will be well and truly dragged into it

I have the luxury of not standing for public office though, if i was i would fully expect my financial projections to be subjected to the maximum scrutiny, Ed Balls' figures just don't add up, he needs to be honest and explain where the extra money will come from, he cant keep saying bankers bonuses, he needs to be honest with the public

I do agree with the 'life on benefits will not be an option' bit in principle, welfare should be nothing more than a temporary short term safety net not a way of life, but labour will throw more people onto the dole queues with their anti business and anti enterprise policies if they get in The way to get people off the dole is to have a free market and pro business agenda that leads to employers creating jobs, that means entrepreneurs and would be entrepreneurs being allowed to keep more of their money, there needs to be a heavy cut in the 45p rate of tax, down to as low as 30 or max 35p, this encourages entrepreneurs to start a business Labour will just tax them into oblivion or cause a brain drain

Exactly, its absolutely bizarre, they reckon they are going to fund it out of bankers bonuses and entrepreneurs pensions, complete economic illiteracy, they have promised to fund god knows how many other crackpot ideas out of these same bonuses,they are either shit at finance or are under the assumption that the electorate have the mental age of 10 Plus these jobs don't even add up, they are creating 55,000 or something non jobs, whereas youth unemployment is about 900,000 and spinning it as 'a job for everyone' Bankers bonuses are already taxed at 45% plus NI, and there are only so many bankers in the UK Labour are unfit to govern

I think that is an overly bleak assessment tbh Liverpool were in worse shape than us for years till this season, this year, although you will likely win the title, is due to Suarez having a Ronaldo type season, there is no certainty he will have one like this next season or even be there next season, Sturridge feeds off Suarez so take Suarez out of the equation then Sturridge would still score a good few but not as much, outside of the strike force i cant think of many players that would get in the Spurs team, Gerrard yes and possibly Sterling, Liverpool's season while not freak as such is almost entirely down to one man As for the other 3 teams, only have to look at Man Utd, because of Fergie they were unbeatable, i would not say we are years behind any of them bar probably City

I have my doubts about Van Gaal because i fear he might lose the dressing room but he is a manager that rules by fear, manages with an iron fist, players would not dare surrender like they did twice against City and against Liverpool and Chelsea, they would be too scared to, he would give Spurs mental strength and quickly ship out anyone who doesn't have the same will to win he has. We have had a succession of nice guys and cheeky chappies, we now need the equivalent of the drill sergeant in Full Metal Jacket, Van Gaal fits that bill

AVB wasn't THAT bad but the style of play he had us playing was unacceptable, it was like watching George Graham as Spurs manager all over again, worse infact, AVB's style of play with high back line and slow possession football does not work in England, he had to go He had lost the fans due to style of play then he lost the dressing room, had to go AVB is not a bad manager, he would probably do great in Italy where style of play is slower

Eriksen? Been struggling with injury for a while, plus again he is another player who goes into his shell when the chips are down We were as good as Chelsea yesterday till the stupid 1st goal, after that we fell to pieces, Eriksen would make no difference in such a situation We need Flamini type players in our team, players who lead by example and will put a rocket up the ass of anyone not pulling their weight We have a skillful but mentally weak team
