  1. Boris is in favour of freezing immigration and rewriting our relationship with Europe so that we are part of a trading zone/common market, returning the UK to what was voted for in the referrendum in the 70s Complete withdrawal from the EU would be economic madness UKIP are an anti immigration party as opposed to an anti Europe party
  2. How? When Mo Farah did his first marathon in training in his life i bet the time in which he did it was way way slower than the best time he has done, through making sacrifices, working exceptionally hard and having drive and ambition he has become the athlete he is. Farah himself said the reason for his successes has been hard work for a decade and prolific training So i believe that someone who does a marathon for the first time in say 4hrs could with hard work and discipline get it down into the times you said
  3. Boris' views on Europe and financial matters pretty much mirror UKIP, difference being Boris is not a racist I think Boris would attract a number of UKIP supporters
  4. Last part is the most significant, the olympics massively boosted Boris' popularity
  5. That 1% lead is 9% more than is the situation currently where Cameron is polling 8% behind Ed We are in danger of a John Major situation where the economy is doing great but we still dont win the election like happened in 97 I still think we will win but the majority of even tories dont
  6. So Jenson Button, Rowan Atkinson, Eric Clapton, Michael Fassbender and Colin Firth are pricks then :o
  7. If someone trains hours a day and applies themselves then they probably could run a marathon at that speed, an enthusiast couldn't but someone who takes work and training seriously could if they dedicated their life to it, same with business
  8. He would probably say what i would say Instead of the 15k a year with no increase and being at the mercy of the boss BECOME a boss, set up a business and work hard at building it up Too many people in life sit back and accept their lot and their place in life
  9. David Miliband was by far the top choice among labour members and also labour mp's, the unions went for Ed, the tory voting system is completely different, its a mixture of MP's and party members, no unions no hedge funds, pure democracy
  10. His piccaninny joke was a bit unnecessary plus he rightly apologised for his comments on Liverpool but i think his speech the other night really tapped into the public mood His points about grammar schools - grammar schools are hugely agreed with by voters Greed/envy - Again spot on, it is a great spur to growth and aspiration, if someone sees a Bugatti Veyron in the street they automatically think 'i want one' and this desire to own a Bugatti Veyron inspires people to work hard and set up a business so they can one day have that Bugatti they aspire to He made valid points about taxation too and rightly said the richest should do more charitable deeds to help those that cant help themselves
  11. He would bring in the youth vote which is something Cameron doesn't do. Boris is loved by teenagers etc and they would probably vote for him in vast numbers Theresa May is a decent person, a competent politician, but as a woman she would be constantly judged against Maggie, If Boris was not the next leader i would like to see William Hague given another go, he took on the job 10 years early, grown up a lot since then plus he is respected across the world
  12. Boris spoke pretty much what i think, he is a cheerleader for enterprise and people getting off their asses and being a success in life
  13. He would have to step down as mayor of London, he has very able deputies who could easily take over from him till the next mayor contest, someone in the commons could step aside (blame ill health or something) and Boris stand for election to the house of commons He would then be in a position to challenge Cameron and would almost certainly win any leadership contest hands down, there would be no credibility lost because he will have won a leadership election under fair means not a union block vote Cameron is a liability, Boris is a massive vote winner
  14. Shame, another soul/dance voice from my youth gone, following on from the likes of Luther Vandross, Edwin Starr, Teddy Pendergrass, Daryll Pandy etc RIP
  15. What we need to do is get rid of Cameron, make Boris Johnson leader and arrange some sort of deal with UKIP Boris made one of the best speeches i have ever heard in politics the other night, said true things that wet lettuce Cameron never would
  16. It was just sloppy use of the English language, no hidden meanings, no sinister overtones, nothing
  17. It does, I do a lot of proofreading in my job as errors in letters/emails/documents to clients can cost contracts I 'switch off' outside of work hours because i have to be so focused at work
  18. The mindset of someone who doesn't over analyse every single term/word I have spoken positively about immigration in this thread
  19. That on its own was significant It would be the equivalent of UKIP coming 2nd in a general election, never going to happen
  20. We are decades behind France in racism/far right nationalism About 15 years ago Jean Marie Le Pen, a racist bigot, nearly won the presidency, his daughter could be a future president Whereas our equivalent, Griffin and now Farage have done nothing in general elections and barely even 10% of the public support UKIP and many of them could drift back to the mainstream parties in 2015 The far right is an insignificance in this country, unlike France
  21. R Kelly was found not guilty though? Whatever anyone thinks of the verdict, like with Michael Jackson, the law says he is innocent, so should not be banned
  22. They could potentially resort to crime and begging, sure one of the new rules mention begging but there is a difference between doing it and getting caught, likewise if they steal/burgle, they have to be caught which doesn't happen a lot of the time in this country even with home grown criminals
  23. I welcome anyone that is coming here to work and makes a determined effort What i want to deter is those that are coming here purely for the benefits with no effort to find work, I have nothing but admiration for Poles, but many people including a former labour home secretary fear a lot of 'Roma' will arrive on our shores who don't have the same work ethic, maybe those fears of Blunkett etc are unfounded, but if they are here for benefits then they need stopping
  24. Simple, stay in home country, we have enough home grown unemployed without foreigners adding to the total
  25. What i would have bought in 1) 3 year ban on all immigrants claiming benefits of any sort, once paid 3 years NI then entitled to benefits 2) Passing of a English exam before being entitled to settle in UK 3) Immediate deportation of any immigrant committing a violent, sexual or theft crime 4) Anyone who has not secured employment within 6 months of entering UK is deported
