OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
When the Bulgarians and Romanians come next year and start getting jobs then more and more unskilled Brits will blame Europe and the government for the Romanians and Bulgarians 'nicking our jobs' and with Labour being pro EU the UKIP could well be a haven for such people By the election i fully expect a near 50-50 split (ex Tory and ex Labour) in terms of UKIP support

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
Almost as many labour people support UKIP though so i think it will balance itself out, more tories support UKIP atm but they are gaining popularity with low paid working class people too

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
The scheme itself, getting people away from throwing money down the black hole of renting, into owning something, is in itself a good idea IMHO But it needs managing carefully, very carefully

Lamela was bought to solve that matter but for one reason or another hasn't worked out

Premier League / Football League 13/14
While i agree with much of that, Caulker was a liability for us last season, responsible for more goals than any other defender, so he needed a fresh start somewhere else, once Rose gets back then Vertonghen will be able to slip back into his preferred CB position again, but conceding hasn't been a big issue really this season bar City, we conceded as many goals in one game as we had the previous 11 games so i think despite the freakshow on Sunday our defence is fundamentally strong. There is plenty of money available for Jan so a new LB and striker need to be a priority

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
The government can't micro manage who does and doesn't get mortgages though, it is entirely the stupidity of the banks and equally the stupidity of those taking on commitments they can clearly not afford I would hope and trust the government won't get the blame in such circumstances, its difficult to see what they can do

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
They are looking at worst case scenarios Mark Carney pretty much ruled out any interest rate rises for a long time to come Plus people can take out fixed rate tracker mortgages Those with £50 a week left over should not be applying in the first place
-
OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
I see your point definitely, but my gut feeling (may well be wrong of course) is that they will end up with about 8% on polling day (ie half of their current base drifting back to main parties)

My sister for example and her husband, she is a deputy headmistress on a good salary and he has a reasonably well paid job in insurance They bought their house a few years ago and have remortgaged recently to borrow money to have an extension and conservatory, they first had the idea a couple of years ago but put it off until they felt confident about the economy and that their house would continue to rise in price, of course i will get slammed for yet another 'i know someone who...' thing but i highly doubt they are alone My supervisor has borrowed to get a loft conversion, a client a fitted iamspamamispamwhoamspam and the brother of a neighbour has borrowed loads to buy a villa in Fuerteventura, all of these in the last 3-4 months, i notice a trend

UKIP are the most establishment out of all the parties, the public do not realise that yet because they are caught up in the cult of Farage but come the sharp end, the general election, there will be a lot more scrutiny and UKIP will come unstuck imho Farage is a public school educated investment banker who wants Lord Sugar and his cleaner to be paying tax at the same rate, cant get much more establishment than that Just most of the public dont know that yet

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
Anecdotal evidence having spoken to friends / acquaintances / family who have bought property House prices rise people can borrow off the equity, they feel comfortable to because house prices continue to go up

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
Conservative voters are a more determined bunch than other parties, their supporters tend to go out and vote whereas many labour supporters tend to stay at home I am not concerned about UKIP tbh, mid term protest party thats it as far as i am concerned, i think the absolute majority of people who vote UKIP will return to the fold on election day, i really dont see UKIP getting double figures nationally, Farage may win a seat because of his fame but thats it imho Plus also first time house buyers are more likely to vote tory than labour, the more first time buyers between now and 2015 the better for us Plus we have another secret weapon, Boris Johnson, by far the most popular politician in the country, Messina wants to use him extensively on the campaign trail, the Boris effect will help win over people, especially younger voters

Didn't know that, interesting fact, but given she won 3 elections she was kinda right

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
They may not but they FEEL richer which is an important factor when it comes to consumer confidence And most people dont feel the recovery atm because its relatively early days for the strong recovery to be felt, if workers start getting good pay rises in 2014 and 2015 then they are more likely to feel the recovery

I don't think he will be sacked yet but apparently Levy is very concerned about our style of play under AVB so there is going to need to be a very big improvement if he is going to be here this time next year Its our style of play that is the issue not any one induvidual striker, right now with the way we play and our slowness in possession i dont think Aguero or even Messi would get many goals, AVB seems to be trying to recreate the George Graham Arsenal era whereas that style of play died out years ago AVB was told its either CL or P45, right now P45 looks more likely

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
We are not doing badly at all We are generally 6 or 7 points behind, we have an economy that is gaining a head of steam and homeowners are getting richer by the day, we have nearly 18 months till polling day That is 18 months worth of house price rises, 6 quarters of continued growth, 18 months of falls in unemployment We also have the incumbency effect which can add 2-5 points to us It is a near certainty we will have a tory government after the next election, its only a question of whether it is an outright one or a coalition

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
The comments about not being far enough behind were made by Jim Messina who won the 2012 election for Obama One of the worlds most respected strategists

X Factor · The Best Of X-Factor
Different in her case though, she is the one in the media spotlight the most, i probably see 10 photos of Tamera in Mail Online to every 1 of every other artist The media focus is on her be it her shoplifting or comments on her looks etc, the others have had it easier media wise Plus some people handle nerves different to others, Freddie Mercury said in his book he used to throw up backstage before every gig because he was so overcome with nerves, and this was a seasoned performer

Nicholas - 2/10 Hannah - 8/10 Luke - 8/10 Rough Copy - 4/10 Tamera - 8/10 Sam B - 9/10 The abuse Tamera is getting tonight online especially twitter is a f***ing disgrace She is 16 years old, the pressures at that age of performing infront of 15m people are unreal, I am bricking it doing karaoke infront of 50 in a pub A load of shower and hairbrush singers slagging off a kid who has the courage to sing infront of millions makes me ashamed to be British

Kennedy Assassination 50th Anniversary.
Assassinating politicians or police officers or soldiers etc is fair game in a conflict but the ANC used to leave bombs in bins in cities, ordinary members of the public, black and white were at risk, when Mandela was arrested plans to bomb a courthouse and a train were found, again targetting civilians If the ANC had targetted politicians and their security forces then that would have been fine
-
Kennedy Assassination 50th Anniversary.
They were a terrorist organisation same way as the ANC were, am not going to condone their behaviour (Irgun) nor should the armed resistance that Mandela advocated be condoned Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Mahatma Gandhi bought about change through peaceful means, that is what the younger Mandela should have advocated
-
Kennedy Assassination 50th Anniversary.
My views on him have mellowed over the years He was responsible for a lot of bad things, was no gandhi But after release from jail the class and dignity he showed helped stop things from getting a lot worse and he embraced peace so the latter Mandela worthy of a lot of respect

Union J - Beautiful Life
Despite all the hype on Twitter and the fact they hijack the trends every single day their record sales haven't done a lot, just scraping into the Top 10 both times Don't see a long term future for them, or even another year tbh

Kennedy Assassination 50th Anniversary.
As i wasn't alive it means nothing to me really The deaths of Lennon, Jacko, Senna, Elvis, Thatcher were far more significant to me and of course 9/11, Berlin Wall, Mandela's release and the Shuttle exploding Each of those is far more relevant to me than some guy taking a bullet in the skull long before i was born
-
Kennedy Assassination 50th Anniversary.
Yeah but like its the top trend on Twitter tonight, with all due respect to the twitter generation i would bet like 0.1% were alive when JFK died I can understand the importance to people who were alive at the time but thats it really
