Farage v Clegg debate
Clegg needs to focus on outing the nutcases and bigots that would potentially be UKIP MP's, he needs to give examples to Farage and really put him on the spot and make Farage lose his cool, when he does he is there for the taking Only this morning a UKIP election candidate has been caught referring to Stephen Lawrence's mum as a 'monkey' UKIP are nothing more than the BNP in suits and ties as opposed to Dr Martens

Premier League / Football League 13/14
Imagine Spurs players in the trenches in a war  "Boo hoo i want my mummy, my fingernail has cracked" "My hair is dirty, i want to die" Far as i am concerned get rid of the lot of them bar Walker, Dawson and Sandro, they show pride and passion, the rest should be sold and replaced with players who would run through a brick wall for the club and would rather die than lose a game

Premier League / Football League 13/14
Playing alongside those gutless sacks of shit that he has to would make anyone lose the will to live Never since i have been watching us have i encountered so many spineless lily livered fairies We were robbed by an imho corrupt ref but no excuse for the white flag of surrender like happened yesterday and against Cityx2, Liverpool etc We are being heavily linked with Louis Van Gaal today, we need someone like him to go medieval on the 'players'

Should thick people be banned from voting?
Yeah but people at the lower end of the gene pool like this girl today are unlikely to think rationally about policies, they are far more likely to look at the Daily Star and think "UKIP will keep the blacks and muslims out they got my vote innit"

Should thick people be banned from voting?
I posted on an iPhone, too much effort with such a tiny screen :P
-
Should thick people be banned from voting?
Most people vote on a single issue imho be it immigration, the economy, welfare, NHS or whatever, no one but uber geeks read a whole manifesto, i have never done, ever

Should thick people be banned from voting?
This is the sort of test i would bring in I will ask 6 questions, you would need to know at least 5 to get the voting card ;) 1) Who is the current prime minister? 2) Who was the previous prime minister? 3) Who is the chancellor? 4) What position does Boris Johnson hold in politics? 5) What party does Nigel Farage lead? 6) Which party is Ed Miliband leader of I would be very surprised if you got less than 5 :P

Should thick people be banned from voting?
That is a side issue, what is important here is would i be able to answer the questions required in a politics test at a polling station, the answer is a resounding yes, the questions would not be about what the GDP was under labour, how many mines Maggie closed or about the national debt, things i was proved wrong on here, i can name the majority of the cabinet so would pass the test with flying colours And if i was truly thick why would i be put in charge of coordinating 142 clients at an exhibition we are organising?

Should thick people be banned from voting?
Thick is more headline grabbing than 'politically unaware' ;) if someone was on the homepage and saw 'should the politically unaware be banned from voting' it would not be as "must see" as the title i put, it worked as several people have contributed who never normally do :P
-
Should thick people be banned from voting?
Dear boy i can assure you i would pass any such test with flying colours, we did a test today at work to see who could name most in the current cabinet, and i came top with 14 :)

Should thick people be banned from voting?
The current affairs test would not be tough, it would be like 'Name the prime minister' 'Name the chancellor' 'Name the leader of the opposition' A series of simple and obvious questions that anyone should really know, those that fail the test lose their right to vote at the election, that was the general consensus around the office today at what should be done to weed out the truly ignorant like her type, so thought would see what BJ users would do :)

Should thick people be banned from voting?
Today we have had a case getting great publicity of a brain dead air head Gemma Worrall who tweeted about UK President Barraco Barner, amusing though her ignorance is, it is less amusing when the reality sets in that she has a vote at the next election, along with many other less than bright individuals Should the government bring in a rule that people have to pass a test at the ballot box about current affairs, say 5-10 questions about the UK and current affairs and get a certain number right, before they are given their voting form and a right to vote? Or should people like professionals, graduates, entrepreneurs etc perhaps be given double votes? Or should we just accept that hundreds of thousands if not millions of Gemma Worrall's can decide the fate of this country?

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
Opinion polls are a farce Last 3 days been 4%, 3% and now 9%, there has been no policy announcements, no scandals, nothing that would explain why a lead would increase by 6 points in a day

Vince Cable and teachers!
Going by what Vince Cable says, sounds very similar, plus i have 1 nephew doing GCSE's this year and another A levels Cable is one of a tiny handful of non tory mp's i have respect for, he has no reason to lie

Farage v Clegg debate
Don't underestimate Clegg here, he is a crafty bugger, knows which buttons to press as he know Farage loses his rag under pressure and gets rattled by intense questioning Farage will blag and bluster his way through things, but i think Clegg will rattle him big time

Vince Cable and teachers!
Not much has changed from my day, my teachers were as useful as a chocolate fireguard at careers advice, i got my career guidance off my uncle, the teachers were/are just not qualified to give it, he is right, but his choice of words should have been a lot better Careers advice in general is a load of crap though, people should follow their gut instinct and chase their dreams not be told 'you are great at science, become a doctor' like happened in my day

BBC Three moves online
I would apply too, BBC 4 is probably my favourite channel on tv full stop, with the exception of Sky F1 HD, was worried they might can it when there was talk of either BBC 3 or 4 going Was a relief to see it was staying

BBC Three moves online
Glad they have kept BBC 4 Outstanding channel, over the last year have watched gigs from AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin on it and other documentaries

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
Lead is back down to 4% so looks like it was an outlier I thought that the whole thing was overblown by the media, but it is a scary thought that 42% of the nation (or a good chunk of 42%) hadn't heard of the story, these people who are so ignorant of what is going on in the world have a vote, unreal, you would have had to live in a cave in Afghanistan or be on the ISS in outer space to avoid this story its been dominating tv and print and online news for a week

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
Must be an outlier :teresa: I find it hard to believe that Labour ratings have gone up since 3 of their senior members over the years, including the possible deputy prime minister in 14 months, have shown appalling errors of judgement The budget is coming soon, Gideon will cut taxes, all to play for :yahoo:

Premier League / Football League 13/14
Wasn't beating up as such but he did punch 3 fans and shove another in the bit in the first few secs of this clip, if that happened today I would imagine a long ban and even prosecution would happen
-
Premier League / Football League 13/14
It is not unique though, didn't Mourinho assault a player when he was coach at Real? And no one can forget Brian Clough beating up a spectator who invaded the pitch a few years ago, several punches
-
Premier League / Football League 13/14
It isn't in terms of proportion of force but the headbutt would not have happened but for the shove, so Meyler instigated the whole thing so should be punished too imho If say Charlie Adam 2 foot tackled someone and then they got up and elbowed Charlie Adam it would be a disproportionate use of force but also Adam' fault for causing the fracas in the first place
-
Premier League / Football League 13/14
Maybe so, but Pardew is only flesh blood and bone he is not a robot, he didn't show that restraint and yes he should be punished, but I think it totally wrong Meyler is going to get of this without sanction
-
Premier League / Football League 13/14
He should not have done it but Meyler should not have shoved him first, they are both as bad as each other and should face the same punishment If someone came up to me in the street and gave me a sharp push unprovoked it would take incredible restraint not to punch their lights out
