Premier League / Football League 13/14
Drogba was considered a dud by Chelsea fans half way through his first season, I remember Bergkamp getting stick off the media and gooners but look what they became, look at Eto'o too, looks like a championship player atm, Dzeko took a full season to settle Few foreign strikers make an immediate impact, only ones i can think of in recent years have been Cisse of Newcastle (who has been a joke ever since that half season), Demba Ba, Lukaku, Benteke, Suarez, Aguero Lamela has not had enough games to tell whether he will make it, Eriksen similarly as Siggy has had a great season so far AVB for me is the best manager there has been at the club since i started supporting Spurs in 1980 (reasons below) All the time i have been supporting Spurs we have had 2 massive weaknesses - defence and our winning mentality/mental strength AVB has worked miracles with our defence, has turned our 3 decades achilles heel into probably the best defence in the premiership, we are like fort knox these days and that is due to AVB He has also toughened our midfield, we have some absolute beasts in midfield now - Capoue, Sandro, Paulinho and Dembele, our heads dont drop when we go a goal down like happened under Harry, Jol and a whole succession of managers before them, we are scoring goals at the end of games and in injury time which is near enough unheard of in my time as a Spurs fan Goals are the final piece of the jigsaw, they will come, either through Soldado or someone else we buy but it is easier to win games when the score is 0-0 than in the past when we would be 2-0 down

Yay! The economy!
Exactly, as with the energy price freeze labour are all fur coat and no knickers On the outside things sound good ideas but when you delve deep and scratch below the surface the flaws and confusion are there for everyone to see

Premier League / Football League 13/14
Plus we are not title contenders, the project is too early for that, our target and aim has been and is 4th place this season.

Premier League / Football League 13/14
Our striker is getting used to a new league, a much faster league than he has spent his entire career in, takes time to adjust Drogba, Bergkamp etc took half a season before they showed any real form, Henry too, and those 3 became 3 of the best players the premiership has ever seen We also have plenty of money to spend should we need to, Levy has told AVB he has £50m to spend in Jan if he wants

Premier League / Football League 13/14
Goals are not everything, we are ahead of City in the table who have scored 3 times as many as us, the important thing is not to concede Despite not scoring many goals we have had our best ever start in the premiership, lots of new players need time to gel too
-
Premier League / Football League 13/14
We are not conceding goals which is the most important thing, aside from the freak West Ham game we have only conceded 2 goals all season, we have only scored 9 goals but are equal 2nd in the premiership So long as we are not shipping goals we will be right in the mix

X Factor · Disco Week
If i was to stick my neck out i would say Nicholas will win the competition He has the looks that will gain the teenage girl vote and the 'cuteness' that grannies love and will get the Scots vote (look how far Scotland took McDonald Brothers etc) and is an ok ish singer so will not be a marmite performer
-
X Factor · Disco Week
True but i think it will come, the themes have not really been fitting with current stuff for her to show what you said above, which i don't disagree with Movie week Love and heartbreak 80s week Disco week But she has the raw power to pull anything off imho She will nail Big Band week, rock week if they have one this year she has the power to blow the rest of them away in People i talk to at work laugh at me and say Leona Lewis was better when i say she best female but Leona had several years on Tamera
-
X Factor · Disco Week
Good to see Kingsland Road go, their Twitter fanbase were annoying pests How the hell Tamera was in the bottom 2 simply beggars belief, talent wise she is on another level to any female that has ever been on the show, either she is 16 in Nigerian footballer years or she is the most exciting teenage talent of the last decade, performs 10 years above her true age No doubt the competition will be won by some bland but cute looking guy who will disappear after 1 song

Yay! The economy!
I don't think people care about image that much as long as someone is doing a good job Boris Johnson is the most popular politician in the country, adored by millions but he is also a serial adulterer who holds borderline racist views and conspired with career criminal best friend Darius Guppy to have a journalist beaten up but the guy is worshipped across the country Alan Clark was loved across the UK as a likeable rogue when he slept with more women than 99% of the country have

Yay! The economy!
I am not academically qualified to be certain nor am i sober or awake enough to do detailed research but typically through my adult life i have probably been on a plane on average every 4-6 weeks so know the difference in noise between them
-
Yay! The economy!
Exactly Only way HS2 will work is if prices are not ridiculous, but i am not confident, rail companies will rip off travellers for every penny they can get
-
Yay! The economy!
I have never been on a Dreamliner but have been on an A380 27 times, when you are on a A380 it is so quiet you barely know you are on it, compare that with the noisy 747's Given the quietness of the plane I would be surprised if it is not a lot more environmentally friendly than the average plane
-
Yay! The economy!
Technology in aviation is changing fast The A380 and Dreamliner etc are incredibly environmentally friendly, especially the Dreamliner, ok it will take a decade or 2 for domestic flights to be the same but aviation is moving in the right direction
-
Yay! The economy!
Am against HS2 Expensive vanity project, someone in Manchester doing business in London could just get a plane, 40min flight and probably cheaper than HS2 fares will be Far better spending the money on tax cuts etc
-
Yay! The economy!
(Un)educated guess, time will tell
-
Yay! The economy!
I think they would bite the bullet, committed labour supporters wouldn't vote tory so the alternative would be stay at home and don't bother voting
-
Yay! The economy!
I dont think the minimum wage being higher in SE would be too damaging Public sector workers overwhelmingly vote labour and public sector workers get a 'london weighting allowance' without any complaint from other public sector workers
-
Yay! The economy!
I can see the Lib Dem defection vote being pretty split through the middle hence why i gave Tory's and Labour an extra 6% and changed Lib Dems from 23% to 11% Students and people who like Vince Cable etc who defect from Lib Dems will likely vote Labour but there are quite a few Lib Dems particularly older/elderly people who are quite right wing too so can see defections to the tories
-
Yay! The economy!
I think 2015 will be around 42% Tory 35% Labour 12% Lib Dem 11% Others
-
Yay! The economy!
I have more in common with the views of UKIP than I do the tory party but i would never dream of voting for them in a general election as it is a wasted vote as they won't form a government in my lifetime, the party is a joke, good policies but all about 1 man Every person i know who voted UKIP in the local elections (many members of my conservative club) said they will return to the fold on election day
-
Yay! The economy!
Tyron hit the nail on the head The majority of the 10% who currently vote UKIP will vote conservative at the next election No right wing person would want a labour government and a vote on election day for UKIP is effectively a vote for labour I predict UKIP won't get a single MP and no more than about 4% of the vote
