  1. As for Pardew, a lot of fuss about nothing, the Hull player shoved him out of the way, he was within his rights to react how he did, if Pardew gets a ban so should Meyler
  2. I should talk about Soldado more lol, today after discussing him on here he scored a goal in open play Hopefully confidence will return and he will start banging them in
  3. That is policies though, policies are fair game, there will be months of talk in the media before election of how 'labour bankrupted britain' while the left will hit back with 'evil tory cuts show tories are still the nasty party' etc
  4. Not a lot, i saw the debates and the VP debates but that was about it really.
  5. Because the attacks on Obama were by and large racially motivated, questioning whether he was a muslim, questioning his American heritage, the attacks on Ed are a totally different motive
  6. Lamela is highly regarded in Italy and South America, i think we will get our money back on him, Soldado would still be in demand in Spain but as he a year older i think realistically we would get about 18m Eriksen i would keep, he has probably doubled in value now, 10m+ Capoue been injured most of time since we got him same with Chirches, think they might still come good, especially with Kaboul retiring at the end of the season we will need Vlad That Belgian bloke, cant remember his name, only cost couple of million so wasn't a big gamble
  7. We just bought any old player - oh he looked good in Spain, he looked good in Holland, he looked good in Italy, lets buy him, without any regard for whether they would fit in in the EPL
  8. True but if labour get a majority of more than single figures they can do pretty much what they want, bring in extra legislation to curb the press, French style privacy laws (very likely i would say after attacks on Ed's father), order more enquiries into Murdoch's empire etc, the press are running scared of labour and resorting to whatever it takes to attack them I don't think they are doing it out of any great affection for David Cameron
  9. It got very dirty towards Obama but Obama had advantages Ed doesn't, firstly he is a brilliant communicator, maybe the best in my lifetime so could easily deflect the attacks, Ed is an extremely poor communicator, also Obama is black so could easily spin the attacks on him as being the work of racists whereas Ed doesn't have that advantage
  10. Stakes are higher this time, the right wing tabloids know that if labour get in they will sign up to Leveson and more curbs on press freedom so the media will be like a pack of pitbulls in their quest to ensure Ed doesn't get in
  11. Both I work as a sales manager for an exhibitions company but also have an online retail business starting up very soon which i have high hopes for to one day be able to live off the money that makes alone
  12. True but this is just the opening shots in what is going to be the most vicious and dirty election campaign the western world and indeed much of the rest of the world has ever seen, labour had better hope there are no more skeletons in the cupboard, i bet though there are some very worried shadow cabinet ministers right now, whole legions of right wing media private detectives will be going through every little thing labour figures have said or done in their lives, hoping to dig up some dirt Whether i approve of that or not, this is just the beginning, the right wing media wont let tories lose next election
  13. You aren't typical then lol
  14. Yeah but would the typical Sun reader know that? They would see the headline 'senior labour figures', start ranting about paedos without bothering to read the article and never vote for labour again Unfortunately a Sun reader type has the same vote as an intelligent person
  15. You lot were right, Soldado is fukkin useless, the Spanish Jason 'pineapple head' Lee, couldn't put the ball in the net if it was 50ft wide Thank god for Adebayor, 10 goals now in 12 games Disgrace of AVB to leave him out all season
  16. I don't think for a moment she does, most of it happened before she joined the NCCL but Hewitt comes out of the whole thing very badly, sure it was a different era 30-40 years ago with different attitudes/values but she has handled this appallingly, instead of coming clean from the beginning she brushed the whole thing under the carpet until The Sun found the smoking gun
  17. Maybe not an ipad as such but certainly a tablet/smartphone/kindle, one or more of them The issues highlighted in that article are affecting iOS and Android
  18. This p**** thing could be very damaging for labour, the sun is on the case now and with some damaging revelations about Hewitt and Dromey, this could affect their poll ratings unless Ed takes decisive action to condemn them and sack them both from the labour party 'Labour chiefs support sex with 10 year olds' Sun readers tend to be less bright than say Telegraph or Independent readers so could well start seeing labour as 'the p**** party' or 'the paedos friend' likewise people walking past a copy of the Sun seeing 'labour chiefs' would assume Ed was involved Wouldn't surprise me if by this time next week Labour poll lead has all but gone
  19. Not had anything today :) happened a lot yesterday but so far so good today :)
  20. I was wrong about angel delight but she was part of the team that invented the Mr Whippy ice cream that is bought out of vans Yes it is the Daily Mail but they do get things right now and then Before entering politics, former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher put her Oxford chemistry degree to good use with a research job at food manufacturer J. Lyons and Co. Tasked with whipping more air into ice cream, she produced a type of ‘soft-scoop’ cream which could be pumped through a machine. It heralded Mr Whippy vans and the ‘99’ cone. 21. http://techcrunch.com/2014/01/06/shady-app...re-google-play/ Found out a bit more about it, if you could somehow block this ad would be great, most people have iPads in this country so I suspect it has happened a lot
  22. Thanks to this stupid Game of War spam BJ is now unusable on an iPad, the ad hijacks the browser (Safari) and redirects me to the app store to download this game every time I open BJ or click on a forum on here, is there any way of blocking Game of War at your end Phil? I know BJ gets the ads from Google but there seems to be some rogue code in this one, several times today I have been redirected to the app store when I use this site
  23. Maggie wasn't in her 20's when she ran for parliament so she is a bad example Maggie was a research scientist and bio chemist before entering politics, by any stretch of the imagination she was a highly qualified professional woman, indeed she personally invented the formula for Angel Delight, if one saw her experience on her advertising through the letterbox it would definitely have given her credibility But a 25-27 year old standing for parliament is going to typically be Leave university with a 2:1 in media or politics, go and deliver leaflets for candidates, get a job as a researcher at head office, become a special adviser to a department or to an MP and then stand for parliament, their entire career spent in the bubble of politics with no real outside career experience. Running a business is not the be all and end all no, but with someone in their 20's it helps give them credibility if they want to be taken seriously as a parliamentary candidate
  24. I would have no problem with a 25-27 year old MP if they had set up a business from scratch and it was going great, the problem is most 25-27 year olds who get into politics join a party head office from uni and work as a researcher or special adviser and get fast tracked into parliament without any real world experience
  25. Look at that awful Owen Jones, he is in the age group being talked about, the dribbling wet blanket barely looks able to tie his own shoelaces, seriously, would you want someone like that representing you?
