  1. There is a small to medium danger that we could see a repeat of the Major era where John Major presided over a very strong economy in the last couple of years of his reign and yet wasn't thanked for it by the voters, with the opinion polls stubbornly showing a typical 5-7% lead for the worst opposition leader if not political leader of any party in my lifetime, the tories need to get rid of Cameron and bring in a man who can win an election, Boris can, Cameron am not so sure, likeable chap but not an inspiring leader. There must be quite a few frayed nerves at tory central office, booming economy yet no difference in the polls
  2. That is not a problem that is exclusive to London though, could easily swap London for Moscow, Sydney, New York etc, its just the way of the world and market forces not anything Boris has done
  3. He is different from the typical politician, the reputation of politicians is at an all time low, political apathy particularly among under 25's is at an all time high, only 1 man can change that Gove who is the only other serious contender for the leadership is a highly intelligent man but is not the type to inspire people, Boris is
  4. I don't know but he has won 2 successive elections as mayor so he must be doing things right, plus foreign wealthy are piling in at an incredible rate so they clearly have confidence in Boris, it cant be due to tax or they would all go to Dubai where they pay none at all. London has its feelgood factor right now and that is reflected by Boris' charisma and personality

Wow :o boxers have in general not been the sharpest tools in the box, assumed he was just another one, had never googled him
  6. Tories would rather have power than be in opposition, if Boris was likely to be the difference between power and opposition they would come into line, Gove for all his talents does not have Boris' charisma and certainly doesn't have the looks. Gove would not win an election, Boris would

I dunno enough about the situation in Ukraine to have a proper opinion but Klitchsko? great boxer but what political experience does he have! none far as i know, just seems to be a guy who was a national hero who fancies dabbling with politics, having him as leader of Ukraine would be as barmy as making David Beckham PM here
  8. If the word Deputy was taken out it would be perfect :) Boris would be one of the all time great PM's, he has transformed London and made it a safe place to be, he has the charisma and dynamic personality to attract inward investment and more billionaires to set up businesses here, he is the true heir to Maggie policy wise unlike Major and Cameron and he is also incredibly popular particularly with under 25's Wish Cameron would go now, Boris leave London to his deputy, Zak Goldsmith carry out his threat to step down, Boris take over Zak's seat and become pm
  9. I would not completely rule us out of Top 4 either 7 wins in the last 9 games under Sherwood, Adebayor scoring for fun, we are snapping away at the heels of the top 4, if one of them has a bad couple of games and we carry on our form Top 4 isn't impossible
  10. Top 4 - 1) Liverpool 2) City 3) Chelsea 4) Arsenal Bottom 3 - 18) Norwich 19) Fulham 20) Cardiff
  11. You have 2 advantages over the others 1) No European football, the others will get more and more tired due to European competition whereas your players will stay fresh 2) You have the strongest attacking partnership in world football with the exception of Ronaldo/Benzema, you are assured of 2 or 3 goals a game so long as those 2 are on the pitch
  12. Yes she did At iTunes, while she did not mention him by name, she made it very clear who the song was about
  13. No great shocks, was never going to be our by election Yes our vote dropped, mostly to UKIP, but most will return to the fold at the general election
  14. Title is Liverpool's to lose now, incredibly lucky last night, all the breaks seem to be going their way Will be shocking if anyone else wins the title
  15. There is always Seatwave/Get Me In if don't make the cut, its worth it for Gaga <3
  16. I agree, unfit is a vile title, we are not talking about kids who get out of breath because they have had too many McDonalds, these are kids most likely being kept alive by machines and incapable in many cases of the most basic of tasks Not to mention the fact that talk of eugenics etc, might as well have gone all the way and spoken godwin's law
  17. I support it, if someone is terminally ill with no hope of recovery and no quality of life then let them go.
  18. Overall less people will be seeing Gaga in London than saw her on BTWB Twickenham holds 90,000 so 2 Twickenham dates were a total of 180,000 tickets sold, the o2 holds 20,000 so a grand total of 60,000 get to see her
  19. Problem is 'too many cooks' Is the crisis an environment dept problem? a transport dept problem? a home office problem? a local authorities (Eric Pickles) problem? That is 4 government departments dealing with the 1 issue and each one is saying 'have a word with him in x department, its not down to us', so confusion has reigned as to who should be running the show Now Cameron has taken personal charge things are speeding up
  20. I just don't see a situation where a tory government would shaft a whole region of tory voters and potential tory voters when the 2015 election is too close to call, it would be political suicide We have dithered and been slow off the mark but I don't for a moment believe that we would have screwed over south western voters who would almost certainly not vote for us in 2015 if we did
  21. There are a lot of tory constituencies in the south west and some lib dem ones that we are hoping to gain in 2015 Your post is a tin foil hat job Danny tbh
  22. Great achievement, greatest band of all time imho along with AC/DC Confused by that chart though, AC/DC's Back In Black is like the 3rd best selling album in history worldwide but not even made the Top 40 in UK? doesn't seem right
  23. Desperate attention seeking bitch The musical answer to Katie Hopkins Wish they would both crawl back under their rocks
  24. You and I is the absolute winner for me Live version of Princess Die/Imagine at Twickenham was spinechilling though but don't know if that counts
