The pop princess was upbeat about her health in a candid interview on cancer, marriage rumours and her reworked Homecoming tour yesterday. "Things are looking good," Minogue told The Daily Telegraph. "I don't know what to compare it to, but it's not something where they say 'you're better' and you're better, it's an ongoing process. "But it's such an important part of recovery to get on and do what you do and be who you are. I'm finally starting to come out of that haze." The Australian leg of Minogue's Showgirl greatest hits tour was postponed when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May last year. Only a small number of tickets were returned. "I feel like there's unfinished business," Minogue said. "Which makes it feel like it's a duty and partly I feel it is, because people have been so loyal and showed me so much hope in the fact they held on to their tickets. I feel really inspired, more than I have for quite a while." Minogue said her ordeal had made her embrace her musical career more than ever. As well as working on the revamped Homecoming version of her greatest hits tour, Minogue has released a children's book, is set to launch her perfume range Darling during her Australian tour and has been recording a new album which she says is a return to "sexy pop". "I'm sure I'm going to look back on this period and go, 'How on earth did I do that?' I'm not a year out of recovery and I'm recording and doing photo shoots and we've filmed new stuff for the screens for the show. I've hardly stopped. "Not to panic people that I'm overdoing it, but I've been doing quite a lot. I'm trying to build up my strength," she said. Minogue's reworked tour will be adapted to suit her health, with less gruelling dance moves and more rest between shows. "There's certain things I can't do but I don't think that will make it less of a show, it will be more of a show," she said. Minogue said she was keen to see how her body would cope when she returned to the stage. She will have all new costumes for the tour and, despite rumours on the internet, said she won't wear wigs. "It would seem wrong to create the illusion that I am the way I was before. I've had such good response to my short hair and there's not much I can do about that at the moment anyway. I want to feel light and free." Minogue revealed the Australian tour would feature a brand new song, tipped to be White Diamond, written with Jake Shears and Babydaddy of the Scissor Sisters. The song is said to touch on her health battle, using the diamond as a metaphor for strength and resilience. The singer also denied simultaneous rumours actor boyfriend Olivier Martinez would be marrying her in December and also was refusing to marry her for six years. "How many times can I get married?" Minogue said, laughing. The singer said she had dreamt about her comeback show in Sydney on November 11. "I don't know what that moment I get back on stage is going to be like. I might be the only one who keeps it together, who knows?" Kylie opens her Showgirl Homecoming tour at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on November 11, 12 and 14 and returns for three shows at the Acer Arena on November 23, 24 and 26. From Undercover R.I.P. The Single by Paul Cashmere September 28 2006 Is the single dead in the Australian music industry? Judging by current sales figures across Australia, it would appear the answer is a resounding “Yesâ€. The Australian chart reached an all-time low this week when the number 100 single by M.C. Lars registered just 47 sales nationally. Ironically, Lars song is titled ‘Download This Song’. Singles sales have dropped right off in 2006 even when compared to a year ago. The blow to the troubled music industry comes just a week after major chain Sanity announced it would no longer carry singles. It has never been so easy to score a Top 40 hit in Australia when the only sales are considered. The McClymonts ‘Something That My Heart Does’ is at No. 40 with registered sales from chart stores of just 354 units. Only one song, the number one song by Sandi Thom, sold more than 5,000 units. By number 5 the figure fell to 3658 and by number 18 sales were registering less than 1000 units. Every song past number 80 sold less than 100 units in chart stores nationally. Album sales luckily are remaining stable. The top two albums (by Scissor Sisters and Pink) both sold more than 10,000 units. By number 10, album sales fall to around 3200 units. By No. 40, the figure falls to around 1500 and number 100 this week by Hillsong Church sold 506 units. LifeLight

Having just embarked on his first tour in 15 years, George Michael will offer his fans three other ways to experience his greatest hits this fall. Epic will on Nov. 14 issue two- and three-disc editions of the compilation "Twenty Five," as well as a two-DVD collection of music videos. Three new tracks will appear on the two-CD album, including a duet with Paul McCartney on "Hear the Pain" as well as "An Easier Affair" and "This Is Not Real Love." A fourth new song, "Understand," will only be available on the three-disc set, which combines the two-CD track list with 15 extra songs on the third CD.
