From undercover Kylie Takes On The Scalpers by Tim Cashmere August 7 2006 Kylie Minogue has vowed to take on scalpers who are selling tickets to her upcoming Showgirl tour on eBay. She has been in contact with Wembley Arena and has insisted they cancel tickets sold through the auction website and resell them. Her show in London sold out in a matter of minutes, and at the moment is her only scheduled show outside of her Australian dates - which are replacements of cancelled shows from last year. Reegan Stark from Frontier Touring, the company putting on the Kylie shows in Australia later this year told Undercover, "Frontier has an active policy against eBay scalpers and have been trying to track down scalpers and tell them they are in breach of the conditions of sale, but it's difficult to get on top of it." "We can't take them to a court of law, but we can cancel their tickets because they are in breach of the terms of sale if they're selling them on and they're not an authorized seller." "It's certainly something that people are trying to get more control over it, but until eBay takes an active stance there isn't much we can do," she said. Tickets to Kylie's Wembley Arena concert in London are selling on eBay for up to 489 pounds ($AU1,237) for two. LifeLight

From Billboard Scissor Sisters Keep The Party Going On 'Ta-Dah' August 02, 2006, 3:05 PM ET Jonathan Cohen, N.Y. The Scissor Sisters keep the party going on their sophomore album, "Ta-Dah," a synthesis of three decades worth of pop that alternately references early Prince, Elton John, the Bee Gees and even such rock/funk hybrids as the Rolling Stones' "Miss You." The set is due Sept. 26 via Universal Motown. Beyond first single "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'," appropriately co-written with Elton John, the album is highlighted by the funky "Ooh" (think "Controversy-"era Prince), the single-in-waiting "Everybody Wants the Same Thing," Ana Matronic's confidently sung "Kiss You Off" and the unabashedly retro "Paul McCartney." Elsewhere, the band perfects the ballad style previously heard on tracks like "Mary" and "Return to Oz" with "Land of a Thousand Words" and less in-your-face "The Other Side," which finds frontman Jake Shears eschewing his usual falsetto for a more soothing vocal delivery. "I Can't Decide" is jaunty and almost honky tonk-ish, while "Intermission" turns back the clock with a jokey spin on old-time Vaudeville. Sources say the final track, "Transistor," was added to the album at the last minute. The video for "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" will premiere tomorrow (Aug. 3) on the U.K.'s Channel 4. The track will be commercially released there on Sept. 4 and will be available digitally Aug. 15 in North America via Apple's iTunes Music Store. Vuol proprio dire che ha toccato il fondo se, per mendicare l’attenzione dei mass media, è ridotta all’estrema provocazione di svendere la sofferenza di Cristo». Una blasfemia in mondovisione che allarma la Curia per il segnale di «disfacimento etico» che ne deriva. «E’ vergognoso che la morte di Gesù venga derisa nella città eterna - insorge il teologo orionino Giovanni D’Ercole, capufficio della Segreteria di Stato vaticana -Attraverso la croce calpestata e spettacolarizzata, domenica verrà inflitto un supplizio ignobile alle coscienze dei credenti. Cosa potrà mai insegnare ai suoi figli chi si macchia di simili nefandezze per vile tornaconto economico?». Una tendenza tanto più rischiosa per la religione perché rilanciata dalla moda, con il boom della croce griffata, nella versione dissacrante di gioiello sexy. Una «pericolosa tendenza» di cui proprio Madonna è stata l’apripista. «E’ immorale strumentalizzare e trasformare il segno della Passione in amuleto paganeggiante e status symbol per scollature volgari - puntualizza monsignor D’Ercole -. La sacrilega provocazione di Madonna è l’emblema della superficialità della nostra epoca, che tende a relativizzare fino all’autodistruzione. Dobbiamo mostrare maggior decisione nel difendere il sacrificio di Gesù». A condannare la «demoniaca parodia della crocifissione» è anche il vescovo Velasio De Paolis, segretario del Supremo Tribunale della Segnatura Apostolica e consultore dell’ex Sant’Uffizio. «Maghi e satanisti impiegano oggetti religiosi per fatture e messe nere, Madonna segue le loro orme: è il frutto marcio della secolarizzazione e rappresenta l’assurdità del male, le tenebre, il mistero dell’iniquità descritto da San Paolo - attacca De Paolis -. E’ come il bestemmiatore che non crede in Dio ma lo nomina di continuo. Per le vignette satiriche su Maometto è scoppiato il finimondo, qui invece una sconsiderata profana la croce nella culla della cattolicità e la fa franca». Anzi, senza che una voce laica si levi a dissentire, intasca («sulla pelle dei credenti») una montagna di soldi. «In fondo è già tutto scritto nel Vangelo - rimarca De Paolis -. La croce simboleggia al tempo stesso la malvagità umana e la bontà divina». Rincara la dose Vittorio Messori, tra gli scrittori cattolici più letti nel mondo e l’unico ad aver pubblicato un libro con gli ultimi due pontefici. «Stia attenta lady Veronica Ciccone perché Dio non paga il sabato. Quindici secoli fa un santo e padre della Chiesa scrisse che Gesù sopporta ogni insulto contro di lui ma non tollera che venga offesa, denigrata e vilipesa sua madre - sottolinea Messori -. Fin dalla scelta del nome Madonna (che significa “Mia signoraâ€, quindi indica il ruolo di madre di Gesù) questa cantante suscita in me compassione e mi inquieta. Sinora l’è andata bene e si è arricchita dileggiando il cristianesimo. Alla lunga Cristo le chiederà conto delle sue malefatte». Per l’Islam l’equivalente di Maria è Fatima, figlia prediletta di Maometto. «Oggi l’unica diffamazione ammessa dal "politically correct" è quella del cristianesimo - osserva Messori -. La signora Ciccone non si è assegnata il ruolo di Fatima e non sbeffeggia le mezzelune islamiche o le stelle di David perché il cristiano è più tollerante, non mette mano alla scimitarra e non lancia fatwe. Insomma, non fa paura a nessuno». Inoltre, la messinscena blasfema della crocifissione, evidenzia Messori, è al contempo un punto di non ritorno e una «misera» provocazione anacronistica: «Non hanno osato tanto neppure i fanatici della Rivoluzione francese e i mangiapreti come Garibaldi che definiva Pio IX un metro cubo di letame e organizzava il venerdì santo banchetti massonici a base di carne di maiale».
