Dear Lord, this is quite literally, SICK......
So, what....? You're saying the course doesn't exist then...? Or do you think that fox-hunting isn't illegal...? You know, people bitch and moan when I quote from The Guardian, Independent, Russia Today, and say I'm only using "leftie" sources, I try to balance that out with OTHER sources and I still get bitched at... Make up your minds...... But, hey, just to keep you happy, here's an alternate source...... http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/Ang...tail/story.html

Now you can get an NVQ in HUNTING - despite the bloodsport being banned Source - Daily Mail Teenagers will be able to gain a government-approved qualification in hunting - even though the sport was banned six years ago. Pupils will study hunting as part of an NVQ in Animal Care, in a programme supported by the national fox hunting authority. But animal-welfare campaigners have criticised the move, comparing it to 'an NVQ in slavery'. Pupils will study hunting as part of an NVQ in Animal Care, in a programme supported by the national fox hunting authority Haddon Training, based in Marlborough, Wiltshire, has teamed up with the Masters of the Foxhounds Association to offer the diploma. The course in 'Foxhound, Harrier and Beagle Kennels' has been recognised by the official government body which regulates qualifications. Students will learn about animal welfare and hunting safety, as well as receiving training in how to run kennels. More...Primary schools are being 'punished' if they stop sex lessons as secondaries are told to hand out contraceptives The diploma was devised by the MFHA's Tim Easy and Lesley Seed, from Haddon Training, who is a master of the Avon Vale Hunt. Ms Seed said the NVQ would give Britain 'the huntsmen and first whippers-in of the future'. She added: 'In future if the youngsters leave hunting, they've got a prospect of employment elsewhere. 'We're also able to give them the theoretical side on the course, of operating in hunt kennels and we can actually assess them practically to ensure that they are safe in their environment and that they have the skills to move on.' Students will learn about animal welfare and hunting safety, as well as receiving training in how to run kennels William Parker, 17, who is currently studying the course, said: 'I wouldn't see it as an important part of hunt staff life, but it is a very useful thing to have. 'Lots of people have turned up in the past and said "I've had experience in these kennels, these kennels and these kennels," and when you phone round that's not the case. 'This qualification is solid proof you have done it, you've worked towards it, and it will help with the job - though it's not vital.' Hunting foxes and deer with more than two hounds was made illegal in 2005 thanks to the Hunting Act, but hunts now use a number of loopholes to continue their traditional activities. Steve Taylor, a spokesman for the League of Cruel Sports, said: 'It would be interesting to know if there's a section on how to "accidentally hunt", which is how many hunts are getting around the law and still killing foxes cruelly. 'This is a qualification rooted in the past - what will be next, an NVQ in slavery?' A spokesman for Haddon Training said the new qualification was already proving popular for young hunt workers. He said: 'We are certain that part of the future of all forms of hunting will rely upon training, education and qualifications for staff coming into the industry as well as maintaining animal welfare standards at the highest levels. 'We believe that it is important for all hunt kennels to take active participation in the promotion of the education of the future generation of hunt staff, and although this has never been a requirement in the past, it is important for the hunting fraternity to embrace training opportunities that will advance their careers. 'Hunting has a future if it keeps abreast of 21st-century education and welfare standards.' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hmmmm, let's see, can we think of any more sicko courses they could accredit...? - Applied Dog Fighting? - BTEC in Seal Clubbing? - A Masters in Whaling and Big Game Hunting? I mean, seriously, this is just utterly unreal..... I wonder if they course will have a module in Puppy Drowning or How to Shoot a Lame Horse Properly...? Sick, loathesome Tory b'stards......

Tories Plan to let developers build on Green-belt...
Hands Off Our Land: Property firms that fund Tories to build thousands of green belt homes Property firms that have donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to the Conservatives and lobbied the Government to relax planning laws are poised to push through developments on green belt land. Source - Daily Telegraph The developers are embroiled in bitter disputes with local residents over plans to build thousands of new houses on open fields, conservation areas and ancient woodland. Documents seen by The Daily Telegraph show that they have used “extensive references to emerging and draft planning policy” to justify their projects despite fierce local opposition. The disclosure is likely to cast doubt on the Coalition’s promise that planning reform will not erode green belt. Official records show that ministers in charge of planning laws have met senior property industry figures 28 times since the general election, while holding only 11 meetings with environmentalists. The Daily Telegraph has uncovered plans for major green belt developments by three property firms whose bosses lobbied ministers. Taylor Wimpey, whose planning director helped draft the regulations, is preparing five projects in the countryside, including two in green belt. Managers met Bob Neill, the local government minister, in January to discuss “the burden of regulation in planning”. They were accompanied by Finsbury, a city PR firm which recently donated £8,000 to the Conservatives. Taylor Wimpey has been accused of bullying over plans to build on land in Mangotsfield, near Bristol, after erecting a 6ft fence around the plot. The firm is also pushing for permission to build 100 houses on former green belt woodland in Annesley, Notts, which is thought once to have been part of Sherwood Forest. Helical Bar, whose chief executive is a Conservative activist and has donated more than £300,000 to the party, has won permission for hundreds of houses on two green belt sites, one of which, in Great Alne, Warks, contains a conservation area with mature woodland. Mike Slade, the firm’s chief executive, is chairman of the Conservative Property Forum, a donors’ club that arranges meetings between property bosses and senior Tories. He said: “Any changes to the planning system that make it more transparent will inevitably be welcomed by property developers.” Planning documents show that the firm used “extensive references” to “emerging” planning policy to justify the Great Alne development. A spokesman for Stratford district council insisted the references were to local policies. The Barratt Group, whose bosses have met ministers twice, plans to develop three green belt sites. The firm is fighting 3,000 campaigners over plans to build 300 “executive homes” on farmland in green belt near Middlesbrough. It is also facing a struggle with residents and parish councillors in Menston, West Yorks, who are amassing a £30,000 fund to fight plans for 174 homes. Mark Clare, the chief executive of Barratt Developments, said there was an “urgent need” to build more houses. Taylor Wimpey said the firm had adapted its business strategy in response to the “likely direction” of reforms. The Department for Communities and Local Government has been accused of “loading the dice” in favour of developers. The draft National Planning Policy Framework contains a “presumption in favour of sustainable development”, and critics fear firms are preparing to “swoop in” and seize the chance to win permission for green belt projects. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Absolute STINKING hypocrisy... Just the other week there we have the site of Gypsy travellers being forced off their own property on Dale Farm (after Tory controlled Basildon Council spent £18 million of council tax payers' money on a court case) because it was supposedly "Green Belt" land (which is debateable as most of it at one point was a scrap-yard..), and now we have the Tories in Westminster planning on "relaxing" planning regulations on Green Belt land to benefit their Developer chums who contributed hundreds of thousands to Tory election coffers.... Well, errr, if this isn't another naked example of corruption then I dont know what is.... Seems to me the mistake the Gypsies made was in not "greasing the palms" of the Basildon Tories..... Silly Gypsies.... -_-

Troy Davis Executed
...And by a complete contrast..... US soldier gets 7 years for killing Afghan Source - Press TV An American soldier is sentenced to seven years behind bars for killing an unarmed 15-year-old Afghan boy in January 2010. Private 1st Class Andrew Holmes, 21, was among six soldiers charged by the US military with being part of the "thrill killings" of Afghan civilians in Kandahar Province; he was sentenced to seven years in prison on Friday after his Thursday confession of firing a heavy machinegun at an unarmed man from just 15 feet away, the Guardian reported. Army Judge Lt. Col. Kwasi Hawks sentenced Holmes at a hearing at Joint Base Lewis McChord, outside of Seattle, Washington. Hawks said the fact that Holmes was a "junior" soldier in a "difficult situation" did not excuse the murder. "You aimed a fully loaded automatic weapon at a child that stood 15 feet away," said Hawks. Prosecutor Major Rob Stelle showed a large picture of Holmes standing over his victim's dead body during the closing argument in his case. Two other soldiers in the kill team received a 24-year and a three-year sentence after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Others are awaiting trial. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Words almost fail me...... <_< This just shows how much the US (in)justice system values the life of an Afghan teenager as opposed to that of a white cop.... "Winning hearts and minds", eh...?

Coldplay - HELL YEAH, boring, turgid bunch of old stadium cock.... Stereophonics - They're still going...??? Placebo - I dunno, they're still doing decent albums Smashing Pumpkins - Actually did do the decent thing and called it a day after "Machina", but then Billy Corgan realised that no one really gave a toss about 'Zwan', so made the stupid mistake of reactivating the Pumpkins with an absolutely shite album and just pissed on all our good memories of them.... Dunno how on earth anyone could really claim it was actually Smashing Pumpkins anyway with no James Iha and no D'arcy (oh, and no Jimmy Chamberlain either now).... Primal Scream - Hmmm, yeah, beginning to think they should just go...

Jamey Rodemeyer's Death - Anti Gay Bullying
While I agree with a "zero tolerance" approach to bullying, it's worth mentioning that much of the bullying that happens in school really has its origins in the home.. Either the bullies are themselves being physically abused by parents or parents are "teaching" their children intolerance and hatred... In the case of homophobic or race-related bullying I have no doubt whatsoever that this is learned behaviour, no one is born a bigot, it's taught.... What needs to be done is for a zero tolerance towards bad parenting and I think a lot of bullying would be eradicated....

"Minister Hotline" given to business leaders
I thought I'd use a bit of humour to make the point this time (seeing as how some people seem to object to me being "aggressive") But, whose to say that this couldn't actually happen...? Corruption now seems to be so endemic in out political system, I think MPs may as well just be honest about it.... For the Muzak, I was thinking more Pink Floyd's "Money" (mainly for the line "I'm alright Jack/Get your hands off my stack")

"Minister Hotline" given to business leaders
I kinda know that it was ever thus, and there was certainly plenty of dirt surrounding Blair (who is now a cheerleader for J P Morgan in Libya by the way guys....), but I think that since the Tories got in, it's all becoming more and more blatant.....

R.E.M. split!
Yeah, I'd agree with that... They've just become a completely different band, clearly The Manic Street Preachers were defined by Richie's personality as much as Joy Division was defined by Ian Curtis, so, what's the point in trying to think you can continue using the same "brand" when it's clearly not really the same music that's coming out. Breaking with the past probably would've been the best thing for all concerned.... There was never gonna be a better Manic Street Preachers album than "The Holy Bible", I dont know why they even thought they could top that one....

"Minister Hotline" given to business leaders
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/8...-ministers.html Business leaders to be given hotline to ministers The bosses of some of the biggest companies in Britain, including BP, Shell and Jaguar Land Rover, are to be given hotlines to ministers to boost the economy. Six ministers, including Vince Cable, the Business Secretary, will act as the main point of contact for the executives. The top 50 firms operating in the UK will be offered the telephone numbers which will span the responsibilities of three departments. The move is expected to be announced by the Government soon. It is intended both to ensure that good ideas are not stymied by red tape and that policy concerns can be aired directly to those in charge. However, it will open the door to potential criticism that the scheme will give scope for direct lobbying or favouritism towards the firms included Mr Cable can expect calls from the chief executives of the oil and gas industry, including Shell, BP and British Gas. The other ministers who are understood to have agreed to participate include David Willetts, the Universities and Science Minister, who will be the contact for the life science industry; Jeremy Hunt, the Culture Secretary, who will talk to technology leaders; Mark Prisk, the Business and Enterprise Minister, who will deal with car makers such as the Indian-owned Jaguar Land Rover, Toyota and General Motors as well as aerospace firms; while Lord Sassoon, the Commercial Secretary to the Treasury, will also play a role which is yet to be defined. The final minister is Lord Green of Hurstpierpoint, the Trade and Investment Minister, who generated the idea for the “strategic relations” scheme. He will act as the liaison for General Electric. Before he was elevated to the peerage, he was the chairman and chief executive of HSBC. A spokeswoman for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills said: “For strategically useful firms, it’s helpful for them to have a single point of contact in government but this is in the very early stages.” A spokesman for the Department of Energy and Climate Change said: “This programme would complement existing relationships between ministers and business. It does not necessarily follow that the best minister to lead on a company would be one who was most vulnerable to lobbying from that company.” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "This is the MP hotline, please enter your debit or credit card details, followed by the hash key....." "To Bribe an MP with a brown envelope stuffed full of cash - Press 1" "To offer an MP a non-executive directorship on the board - Press 2" "To talk to an MP about avoiding taxes - Press 3" "To talk to an MP about getting juicy government contracts - Press 4" Behold, blatant, unabashed, shameless corruption....

He was executed for being a black man and in the wrong place and the wrong time - America is proving it's still a fukked-up, racist society despite Barack Obama being president... If this guy had been some rich, white businessman he'd likely have never been on Death Row to begin with.... Look at the stats - black men are far more likely to get a Death Sentence than a white man, FACT.....
