What the hell is so confusing about them....? They're all pretty logical... AVATAR???? That's one of the most f**king braindead films I think I've seen in the past several years, honestly, I could predict where everything was heading in that film... Mainly because I'd already seen Dances With Wolves, Aliens and The Abyss..... -_- Donnie Darko, similarly has a logic to it, and it one of the most poetic films.. Vanilla Sky is a sh*t American remake of a brilliant Spanish film (Open Your Eyes), the original is perfect, Vanilla Sky tries to be all "bat-sh"t weird", with Tom Cruise ludicrously over-acting and just generally being a c**t as he always is, and misses the emotional core of the original film....

Well, considering there have been several different cuts of the film, I can understand that..... :lol: :lol:

IT WAS AN INTERNATIONAL BANKING CRISIS which necessitated the taxpayer pumping about a trillion into the banks to prop them up, and then, as a "thank you" they f**ked us over and haven't paid back what they owe us.... The banks, wall street and the city are the root causes of this shambles, Governments can be criticised perhaps for being too weak-willed before and after the fact, but the facts are we're suffering now as a consequence of the "liberalisation" policies introduced both here and the US in the 1980s by Thatcher and Reagan.... Remember "Reaganomics"..? Basically, it was an un-stitching of the safe-guards that FDR put in after the Great Depression to stop a banking crisis from ever happening again (which was the cause of the 1929 crash in New York..). And, of course, since the 80s whatever happens in America happens here.... And it makes us all the poorer for it as a society...

David Willetts yesterday afternoon said that it would basically be businesses and charities that would be allowed to "sponsor" extra places.. He said something to the effect that there was "never any question" that the rich could buy their way in... "security problems" are no excuse for not allowing someone their day in court, even if the eventual sentence is death anyway... Nah, it's more like they feared what Bin Laden might have revealed had he got up in open court and testified....

It was the Iraqis themselves who put them on display, nothing to do with Bush Jr.... And shooting an unarmed prisoner that was already in their custody from what I've been hearing...? That's us being "better" than them, really...? And, why hasn't Obama closed down GITMO yet...?

But, again, you're not addressing the core issue - are we honestly expected to believe that the US military is all of sudden "sensitive" to Islamic culture...? It's stretching credulity just a bit, especially when you consider GITMO, torture of terror suspects and the fact that there is casual racism endemic in the US military with regards to the almost routine use of terms such as "sand n*****" and "rag-head" while troops have been serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.... Frankly, I would rather they were more sensitive to the ordinary Iraqi and Afghan civilians than to someone like Bin Laden, who should be put on public display like Uday, Qusay and Saddam were in Baghdad.... The rather indecent haste by which he has been apparently disposed of is just asking for people to be suspicious....

You'll forgive me if I dont hold my breath mate, given the fact that almost two years has passed.. And in all this time Harwood's been drawing a wage while being suspended at the tax-payer's expense.... <_<
