Of course you can have opinion and discuss whatever you want, but don´t be surprised when people who have had direct experience of something and know how it works struggle to give your view much credibility. Don´t be taken aback when somebody has 30K debt to their name and you´re there saying "oh its not much money", that they may feel a bit y´know.....miffed?

It´s a huge debt Chris. I was lucky to go to Uni the year before they tripled the fees, but both my sisters loans were in excess of 30,000. It will take them forever to pay it off and they are hard workers who do a lot of hours. One is a teacher and head of her department and the other is a midwife. Once again, ranting on about something that you have no experience of based on something you´ve seen in the news or heard in the street.

Dedicating 3/4 years of your life to study is not something for nothing. We need people in higher education, doctors, lawyers, accountants.....various other degrees also that teach skills that can be applied to numerous jobs which are vital to society. Its very easy and dare I say rich for you of all people to sit there and go on about "someehing for nothing".

Do not get sh*tty with me. It was a genuine attempt to be nice. I know everybodys situation is different, but keeping myself busy and keeping my mind occupied helped me through the darkest period of my depression. No, I'm not a psychiatrist but the above was on the advice of MY Physciatrist and MY doctor, thank you very much.

Genuine non-snarky suggestion alert...maybe keeping yourself busy and your mind occupied with a job would help your mental state. You might even make friends out of it :)

I really don´t see a scenario where Labour the most seats at all, sadly. I think the best we can hope for is that the Tories fail to get enough seats to get a majority or close enough that they can form a pact with one of the other racist, fascist parties. This election at the back of my mind, constantly. :(

Bercow did what a speaker is supposed to do. The reason they didn't like him(and I suspect the reason that you didn't like him) is the fact that he saw through the attempts to circumvent and manipulate democracy when it came Brexit. He was impartial - what you actually want is an ardent Brexiteer. Thats not how being the speaker works.

Actually whether you like it or not, you ARE European. EU or not, the UK is geographically part of Europe. So therefore you are both British and European even if it doesn't resonate with you. What you're saying is the equivolent of a guy from Beijing saying "I'm Chinese, not Asian".

No. I´d like a deal that see´s us transition out of the EU, respecting the vote of 2016, but also recognizes that it was a wafer thin majority and maintains strong and diplomatic ties with our closest geographical neighbors in the interest of security and trade at least. I´ve got nothing to feel desperate about thanks. Frustration? Absolutely. Frustration that you have had something demonstrated to you over and over again(i.e. Immigration will not go down) but you continually refer to it like a brainwashed hamster stuck on its wheel. You even said the other day that you concede that Brexit may not even make your life any better, yet you still want it, and the economic turmoil it will cause for many. So frustration? Absolutely.

How many bloody times! A. There are way too many jobs(healthcare, supported living, agriculture etc) that British people simply do not in significant numbers. Somebody is going to have to do those jobs. B. Any trade deal that the UK does with emerging powerhouses(China, India etc) WILL include relaxed immigration and visa rules for their citizens and we WILL say yes to it because we will be the ones that need the additional trade trade(e.g. negotiating from a point of weakness having just left a trading bloc of 27. C. Most of them will work a damn site harder than you ever have in your life! Just because you don´t like that, and chose to ignore it doesn´t mean it won´t happen!

And if you've forgotten, I've already told you that it won't go down after Brexit.

How would you know? Being older than somebody doesn't automatically mean that your character and personality is more mature than someone who is younger. Older people are still capable of being irresponsible, selfish etc. When I read your messages on this forum initially, the impression I got was that you were still in school.

Funny how on one thread we have someone moaning about higher wages and better workers rights whose NEVER worked, and on another we have someone making snidey remarks about graduates and degrees when they didn´t go through the University system themselves. It´s almost as if they have limited knowledge or experience on the perspective subjects and are merely basing their generalizations on stuff that they have heard thrown about on TV and in the media. :teresa: :teresa:
