Rita Ora sounds absolutely fantastic on this, it's one of her best vocals. She's accompanied by a guitar and piano at the beginning and towards the end of the song it's a total orchestral masterpiece. It really is gorgeous to listen to. :wub:

This is probably the biggest *moment* in the show and the song is spectacular with each chorus getting more powerful as the song progresses. As you can tell it's sung by the Prince in the show, who is played by Ivano Turco who has come straight from drama school into this lead role. A lot of eyes were on him to step up into a leading West End role but he does it with ease and is the perfect casting. A true talent.

However, it grew and grew and grew on me and became my favourite song from the album. It's got a great chorus and the bridge sounds great. It's quite a basic song compared to their previous singles but I adore it. :wub:

The song is quite basic, let's be honest but I can't get enough of it still! It is just so infectious. It's a team up with another DJ (of course), this time with Topic. Topic has always released bops for me so it's no surprise I've loved My Heart Goes. Glad it made number one for me but it's criminal that it stalled at #11 officially for so long.

It was released at the perfect time, just before all restrictions were lifted and we hit the height of Summer. It sounded great around that time of year. Sigala is a bit hit and miss for me but they did a great job with this track. I'm glad Rita managed another top 40 hit after her reputation has gone downhill in the past year or so.

This of course is a sample of the old "drunken sailor" shanty and for the most part, it works really well. It's great to hear more of Conor Maynard again, I find it bizarre how he just randomly dropped off after five straight top 10 hits 10 years ago. Shaggy I never thought we'd still hear from in 2021 but here we are. This is a really good track and I recommend checking it out if you haven't already!

Shortly after the release of the hit TV series It's A Sin which highlighted the HIV pandemic of the 80s, Years & Years released their stunning cover of this Pet Shop Boys classic. This is the piano ballad version that was released before the remix with Elton John was released. I've got to say I haven't listened to this once since the collab with Elton, but it is still absolutely stunning and Olly sounds fantastic as always.

It is without a doubt Becky's best song and it still sounds so good over a year from release. I can't believe she named her album with lyrics from this song yet didn't include it on the album? ;) It's absolutely criminal that this flopped and will go down as one of the biggest misses for me in recent times.

It's good to see Hayley Williams here! I much prefer her material with Paramore though

One of her better efforts however the album didn't do a lot for me.

I wouldn't normally have given him a second thought, but then MONTERO was released and it transformed me into quite a fan. This raunchy track singing about the devil came just as he came out. Coming out as a gay black male in this industry is inspirational and I'm so pleased for him. Plus he's gorgeous so that's a plus :wub: :lol:. MONTERO spent two weeks at #1 for me and I still love it to this day :)

I think it's just OK and really doesn't deserve to be this high on my EOY chart. But clearly I enjoyed the track at some point for it to spend three weeks at #3. Anne-Marie sounds nice.

This time coming from Catherine Parr with her track in the show, I Don't Need Your Love. Vocally, this track is stunning despite it not being the most replayable. I have seen a few people play this role, but I have to say Danielle Steers is the best Parr I've seen and I'm gutted she's left the show. IDNYL celebrates the coming together of all of Henry VIII's wives as they realise they don't need to be comparing their losses. As you can see, it had a bit of a resurgance for me this year which explains it's position in my top 50.

Was never really a fan of The Kid LAROI, but STAY was everywhere this year and rightfully so. It is simply fantastic! Justin Bieber sounds lush on this too. Their vocals mix really well and it's just an all round solid bop. My only gripe is it isn't long enough.

Just look at the chart run! You can see why it's still amongst my most played songs of the year. In my opinion this is Ava's best track by far and it's just pop perfection. I covered my thoughts on this song last year but special mention goes to the guitar break in the middle, lush!

Carrie Hope Fletcher - Bad Cinderella (from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cinderella 1z6W_8mpF5I Release Date: October 30, 2020 UK Chart Peak: DNC Adam's Chart Run: (14 weeks) | Peak: 05 | 15-11-6-5-12-16-22-31-46-x-18-30-x-44-33-24-30-x Opening up the top 50 with another musical number. This time coming from new musical Cinderella. I've seen this show three times and every single time there have been so many little girls in Cinderella ball gowns who are disappointed that it's not the traditional show. :lol:. Andrew Lloyd Webber has recreated the traditional story of Cinderella (not the Disney one we all know) and it's received very mixed opinions. I can see why as it doesn't execute itself very well but it's nice to have a darker twist on it in a way. Carrie Hope Fletcher completely carries this show (no pun intended) and tbh without her I probably wouldn't see it again. But she brings so much to the role of Cinderella; her flawless vocals, her wit and general personality come across really well. The song Bad Cinderella itself is an earworm and one of perhaps the only 3 good songs from the show and I thoroughly enjoy it.

I think KSI has done a great job with the singles this year. The album isn't great but Really Love, Don't Play, Patience and Holiday have all been bangers tbf.
