Hi malkythealky and welcome to BJ's Elvis forum! The concert you mention was performed on tour for quite a few years up until a couple of years ago when the format changed. Originally, footage of Elvis was used and backed by original musicians and singers who had performed with Elvis when he was alive. More recently, the musicians and singers had not worked with Elvis, himself. Great news and definitely well deserved! Visiting Graceland is a wonderful experience and even if you're not the biggest Elvis fan, it's good to see everything Elvis achieved and his huge contribution to music history! I'm glad to see Sun Studio up there in second place and also Stax Studio! Memphis has so much to offer visitors - Beale Street, The Rock and Soul Museum and The Civil Rights Museum to name a few more. Can you tell I love it there :lol:

This is great news! It gives Elvis fans, this side of the Atlantic, a chance to see Elvis owned items which are normally only on display at Graceland. I went to see the exhibition at the O2 last month in a special after hours session thanks to Essential Elvis and I really enjoyed it! :cheer:

News on Elvis planes MEMPHIS, Tennessee — Two airplanes once owned by Elvis Presley, the Lisa Marie and the Hound Dog II, could be moved from Graceland to a location down the street under a plan approved by a county board. The Shelby County Land Use Control Board approved the plan Thursday from the planes' current owners, OKC Partnership. The planes have been situated at Graceland since the mid-1980s. Elvis Presley Enterprises, which operates Graceland, has asked OKC Partnership to arrange for the planes' removal from Graceland on or shortly after April 26. The Memphis City Council must approve the plan. If they are moved to the new location, the planes would be part of an outdoor display and museum for tourists to visit.
