  1. My personal view of Let Me Go is that it's an OK song, not bad but not great either, but it's very catchy and radio friendly, easy to sing a long to, so I'm sure it's going to do very well. But the video is so cheesy!
  2. Love the video for Carnival. It's adorable, kind of crazy and also brave I think. I'm not sure that Carnival is going to be released as a single. When Mark performed The One on Radio 2 a couple of weeks ago they said that it is the new single, but we haven't heard anything about it since then. It is very confusing. The One is one of my least favourite songs from TAODN so if there is going to be one more single I would prefer some other song. Heaven's Falling is good, I like that one a lot.

  4. The belief from some of his fans on Twitter is that he really is recording a solo album. At least it seems that he is recording something, whatever it may be.
  5. It sure is. This season is only just starting and they are already speculating about next season.
  6. It's obvious that a majority of the TT fans, or people in general who are buying TT albums, are not interested in Mark's solo work. Which in a way is a little funny because since TT came back you could hear Mark's influences in many of their songs. I'm not sure a cut in price for TAODN would have hepled. It seems that for many people TT = Gary and there are so many ignorant comments (not from TT fans) saying that Mark is not contributing to anything and is just getting a free ride in TT. It seems extremely difficult for him to attract buyers from outside the sphere of TT fans. And it probably doesn't help either that Mark is useless in selling himself. When doing promo work for TAODN and Stars he just talked about chocolate or his kids  He could really do with some lessons about PR from Gary and Robbie ;) BTW, Where could one find all those stats?
  7. Hm yes, maybe that's the case. In my country it's not much interest, but I was thinking of Germany and maybe Italy, which seems to have quite a few devoted Mark fans.
  8. Yeah, It seems to be the same old thing as every year. I don't even live in the UK and I'm still getting quite fed up will all this XF nonsense
  9. S.A.D is is not my first choice for a single either even though I do like the song. It took quite a few listenings for me to really like it and now I think it's a beautiful song. The sales figures you have reported for TAODN a few pages back in this thread, are those figures for the UK only or is it the total sales worldwide? It is disappointing that the album did not do better because it is a very good album. I know that Mark's music is not for everyone and I had not expected it to be a huge success but I think it deserved much better than this. Also, most of the reviews I've read have been good or decent, for instance it got a 4-star review in Q Magazine, so it's a pity that not more people have given it a chance.
  10. Thanks so much for your nice welcoming :) Yeah, it is a real strenght for TT to have such creative forces within the band. But I'm also wondering, because of all the creativity and strong wills, if their minds often clash? Oh, I didn't know that Gary has been working with Robbie and Guy Chambers. I knew that Robbie and Guy Chambers has been working together again, but I didn't know that also Gary has been involved with them. Have fun tomorrow at Wembley, jay727! I'm sure it will be good either way :)
  11. Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. I've read your discussions for a while with great interest and now I've finally signed up :) I thought I would give my view on the interview and quote about Rule The World you are discussing. I do believe that the quote Laura is referring to is about the actual song, and not about the fireworks at the end of the Circus shows. I recognized the quote from somewhere, I searched for the interview in my collection of magazines and I found it! The quote is from a long interview with TT in I-D Magazine November 2008. There is a whole paragraph where they are talking about RTW and how it came about. I've typed down a part of the paragraph: My interpretation is that they are talking about the actual song, and not a live performance of it. What do you think?
