  1. Yeah, I know that. I meant that Pete banned Mark from posting them on here, and now he's doing exactly the same thing himself.
  2. Er, wasn't Mark Leech banned from doing the exact same thing??

Horrible yuppy pop! They slagged the Smiths off in an interview once so that was enough for me to hate them

  8. I prefer the Creepers' cover of "Baby's On Fire" to Brian Eno's original. Don't know if many people have heard either version though :D

I like "Along Comes Mary" the best. They used to play that in a club I used to go to a lot in the early '90s.

From the Big L website : "Big L's Mike Read is starting a brand new series of his famous Pop Quiz on Sky TV channel Red (Channel 186). The award winning TV show has made a come back after 14 years, which was famous for celebs testing their musical knowledge against each other. For the first time in Pop Quiz history, Mike will be throwing the doors open to members of the public to take part. If you think you've got what it takes then drop an e-mail to Mike.Read@Red-TV.co.uk" Sounds interesting :)

"Sebastian" was actually their first single, but failed to chart of course.

"Black or white...step on it" (or something like that). Yeah, good song. Probably too slow to be a hit though. My parents had it on a best of.

It's a tough call, but I'll go for the Bunnymen. I don't have that petty hatred of Scousers that many other Mancunians have!

Which chart do you use, Rob? "Eton Rifles" only got to No.3 in the official chart.

Yeah, "Nobody's Fool" is my favourite too. Sadly not many people seem to remember it now though. "Prime Time" was their first single after Nick Heyward left, with Mark Fox on vocals. No, it's not the Tubes song.
  25. What do you think was Abba's best single then?
