It's the first post Christmas chart I can remember where we've had so many Xmas tracks still in the chart!! I remember one year when there were 11 reentries and 3/4 new entries and all the Xmas tracks had gone...if streaming could so this every year I'd be happy! Also, if next year is the anniversary of Kirsty MacColl's death please can we have a campaign to write the wrong of this never being a Christmas number one?!

That and they probably thought with 1D's fanbase there was no need to release another track...I hope we get an alternative track this year especially if it is The Vamps :drama:

Band Aid 20 had a better chart run, 1-1-1-1-2-6-31, and sold more than this awful version! I think this version just failed to capture the publics imagination (that and the stupid decision not to allow streaming sales)

Great to see Philip George starting so well! Shame it's not going to be number one but I'm hoping it can hold on to 2, I suspect streaming may push it down a bit but a top 5 would be a great result!

Sounds good!! I would have volunteered for the early but I won't get home from work on Tuesday until 10pm and New Years Eve is my day off and I need my beauty sleep! (That and I can't bring myself to listen to Nick Grimshaw :lol: )

Yeah, that worried me too but the Avengers film got over 5 million so I think that might have had an impact. That and ratings for all the channels are lower than last year but I'm hoping the viewing figures increase once it returns to its Thursday slot Though I have to say, as much as I love the Matt Willis free casting, the new guy playing Garth was painful! That and I love how they spent a moment in an episode in series one referring to Matt's tattoo's but this new guy suddenly doesn't have any...I know it's a small thing but I notice these things!!

What annoyed me more was Sinead's 'over reaction'...like Roy does this all the time and I'm sure she's been involved with the bully's who've targeted Roy so I don't get why she's suddenly so concerned for Gary after he tried to rob the cafe... Awful actress and character... Though I'm glad we get to see more brilliant acting from David Neilson!

Great episode tonight, I agree with most comments that this was the stronger of the two episodes, I wish they'd taken the last half hour of yesterday and today's for the Christmas Day episode but still miles better than Corrie! Really excited for next week after seeing that trailer!!

I've recorded it just so I can fast forward the rubbish...it all sounds very underwhelming this year, that and I really would like Fearne's and Reggie to go away...

I'm happy Blame It On Me is getting a slight boost but as for the rest :puke: The gift card effect doesn't seem to have had as big an impact as in previous years but there's still tomorrow and Saturday to go...

This has always been my least favourite chart of the year as you just know the same old acts will get a boost and 6-8 month old tracks will re-enter. I'm expecting this years offenders to be Pharrell, Clean Bandit, John Legend and Ed Sheeran sadly! I loved Rather Be for a while but Capital FM ruined it for me! At least Mark Ronson will be number one, I can see another 150-180k.
