Calvin Harris & Jessie Reyez - Ocean
Jessie has posted a clip https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNgJVmINDYz

Disclosure & Anderson .Paak - NO CAP
So this entered the dance chart at #28 on Friday. Hoping there's some revived interest in them following the You & Me remix though She's Gone, Dance On also did pretty well last year.

Hollyoaks
I didn't watch last week until this weekend and I think I may even stop before the anniversary. It's so so bad again

EastEnders
Julie back and with chickens in tow is incredible/high key ridiculous Coronation Street comedy levels. Considering it was a surprise to Phil they conveniently set up that 'made to measure' coop in no time lol and why was Cindy there when they were talking about them?? Can we not with Kim being Patrick and Yolande's celebrant, ugh. Pretty sick of this drugs storyline tbh, it's the worst thing to do with Ravi really. Okie might bring a different dynamic with the cuckooing side of it but it's still all really naff (not even Harry in a vest can save it). "Just my usual doughnut, darling". Never change Elaine, queen.

Jonas Brothers - Greetings From Your Hometown
Has anyone actually got a credible source for it? I can see a mention of it in the Sales thread but not backed up with where it's from if it's even true.. The album is there on the Sales Chart at #26 so it definitely "sold" something

Jonas Brothers - Greetings From Your Hometown
Didn't even know this album was coming! 'The Album' felt a lot bigger, especially on the promo side. Did they even promote this release here with anything? Radio 2 or The One Show would've probably lapped them up and got them a few sales had they done an appearance on either of those. Radio 2 have been A Listing the singles but it would seem they lost out to Craig David on the Album of the Week slot.

Denon Reed & Cru2 - Let Him Go
And it did make it into the Top 40 at #37 this week! Badger remix was released on Friday
-
Hot Chip - Joy In Repetition
A Greatest Hits album I didn't expect to stumble across in my browsing for upcoming releases today but one I am pleasantly surprised by. They have such a good back catalogue this seems like a solid collection all packaged in one place. Out 5th September. Ready For The Floor Boy From School One Life Stand Night & Day Flutes Hungry Child Over and Over Positive Look At Where We Are Need You Now Eleanor Huarache Lights Melody of Love I Feel Better Devotion Digital versions also include the Mella Dee Remix of Ready For The Floor and Boys' Shorts Remix of Devotion.

Katy B - Avalanche
And I did indeed see her yesterday! It was billed as a DJ set but she did perform this and On A Mission properly at the end and she was brilliant; the crowd enjoyed this one. Radio 1 have spinning this weekend so it's looking like it's been added to their playlist (whenever that updates)
-
Amaarae - BLACK STAR
1Xtra have added S.M.O. to their playlist this week
-
Lee Walker vs DJ Deeon feat. Katy B & MNEK - Freak Like Me
Ben Kim remix of the original track is out 22nd August on Defected https://www.beatport.com/release/freak-like-me/5182453

Friday Chart Predictions
Could it still be in though even with ACR?

Disco Lines & Tinashe - No Broke Boys
I am so obsessed with the Avello remix

Radio 1 Playlist (15/08/25): Where is it?
Probably will go up at 7am tomorrow alongside the 6 Music one of it's been missed. Wonder if whoever is responsible went to R1 Dance Malta and just didn't get someone to cover. Usually if there's some kind of event on it can get missed.

Radio 2 Playlist 2025
I'd have to trawl back through the posts to find it but I think a C-A jump has happened before but it is incredibly rare. Romeo is a good track though
-
Calvin Harris & Jessie Reyez - Ocean
It sounds pretty damn good
-
Honey G - Nothing to Me
Why does it low key slap though
-
Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone
#65 on the sales chart this week and #21 on the dance singles thanks to the remix package last week, headed up by the MPH mix which has taken force (I know this was mentioned in the 96 Months thread)

Radio 1 Discussion
Live Lounge Day returns August 25th from 5am-6pm and then it's a night of Reading & Leeds highlights 6pm-1am.
-
Heart FM Playlist 2025
I thought they always played a good variety of Beyonce tracks with Halo, If I Were A Boy, Best Thing I Never Had, Crazy In Love, Single Ladies also in rotation. Sweet Dreams does seem to get a couple of spins a day here and there (it hasn't been played today at all apparently though yet)

EastEnders
What was that "naughty but nice" line from Kathy? Had me in hysterics over the way it landed and Lauren's non-reaction. Honey returning to the Minute Mart feels like home. I am SHOOK at the end. Another well acted round from Max and Alice there. Max is playing a blinder in this story.

PinkPantheress - Fancy That
Oh hai Romeo vid
-
Tourist - Outside
Having teased us with his Pure Shores remix earlier this year, Tourist returns with a change in sound and it's all about trance music for this era. Outside is out 20th August with a full album on the way. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNQ1TZytyNp

Denon Reed & Cru2 - Let Him Go
Following 'I need to know' from earlier this year, Denon Reed's next track to take off looks set to outpeak its predecessor this week as it heads for the Top 40. It's another bassline bopper which is riding high in the midst of another resurgance for the genre.

Calvin Harris - 96 Months
The MPH remix is doing very well
