Apparently they're both 17 but could've sworn that Nugget mentioned something about not getting an 18th birthday party when Avani was wanting one for her 16th last year. Possibly just another retcon they hope we don't notice for the sake of plots and storylines.

It still throws me off that Avani and Nugget are the same age. I know it's possible given he was a September birthday and Avani July. I could've sworn they'd said Nugget was older though a while ago. I do think the teen cast should be given a chance to shine but not Hollyoaks style. We don't need 2017 Bex and Louise vibes / screen time domination but there are so many 17/18 year olds in the cast that they should occasionally be at the forefront more than they are.

I think I would've rather we see Joel's attack and who did it so we follow them on that journey of dealing with it all / covering it up. The problem with a whodunnit is so many characters bob along completely unknown that it's them until the reveal and then they change their character to suit. I think it would've been a good ending to at least see them (definitely Nugget) release Joel and hit him and then casually rejoin the group like nothing had happened. I don't think we've got the calibre of actors to pull this one off sadly; hopefully a quick reveal.
  4. OCC are saying 6.2 in the article. Where did you see 5.7?

    Please don't

What the heck was that? GCSE Drama students would've been better deployed to do that scene. My money is on Nugget beating the shit out of Joel though.

  9. Now 41 was my first compilation CD that I got for Christmas 1998 and it definitely began a love for the series from then on out, though I would usually only get the 3rd release of the year for Christmas until I was a teenager and could buy my own. I think Now 64 was my favourite ever release as it soundtracked my summer holidays; we always had to have it on if I was in the car! Now 44 is one of the best and that's backed up by being the best seller of the series. Of course Now 48 feels like it's cemented itself in history too thanks to the likes of Peter Kay and James B. Partridge. The series initially introduced me to a lot of music I hadn't heard before as I didn't get into the charts until the early 2000s. If I went to a friend's party, a Now CD was on; it was an inescapable but pivotal part of music culture during the 90s and 2000s for me and shaped a lot of my music taste that I have now. They were varied, they took chances (especially in predicting things will do well around or on release week!) and they were something to look forward to buying. I would play some of them over and over again. They were (and arguably still are) an important part of the music scene we have.

6 Music's Indie Forever stream launches tomorrow at 10am. The output is designed to focus on music from the 1980s to the 2010s. Following a similar format to Radio 1 Dance there will be a 'Morning Show' from 10am each day with Steve Lamacq and Felix White, the established 'Indie Forever' playlist goes out with some new episodes and repeats (plus a simulcast on Friday evenings), the Cloudbusting feature from the Breakfast Show gets its own outing with different presenters. Additional shows include 'Indie Chill' overnights, 'Indie Focus' and 'City Soundtracks' plus other established shows that go out on Sounds / 6 Music. If you can't wait, the stream is already up playing music non-stop (though admittedly it's like 4 songs on a loop).

It's Jazzy Dee - Get On Up from 1983. It has been sampled a few times over the years but nothing that's come to wild success.

I am genuinely tired of affairs and love triangles. It feels like boring, lazy writing and it's not really a thing a soap in 2026 needs to be aiming for is it?
  13. I just can't with this anymore 😂
  14. I just got an advert for this on Spotify. Having wanted it on streaming for absolutely years it is finally available with a "new edit" for 2026.

I can only assume it's the standalone vinyl variants driving the separate positions for the individual albums (maybe some streaming too)

  18. I assume those of you who are outright negatively posting and reviewing 124 won't be buying it? Otherwise your point does not stick at all. You're allowed to be critical, sure, but this is something else and buying it after all of this would be hypocrisy.

Actually cannot root for this Lauren / Mark thing at all. As much as Peter is a wet blanket he definitely doesn't deserve this; Lauren is a hypocrite, no better than her dad here.
