EastEnders
Stacey is really wearing out the "black grief hoody". Tbh Lacey is such a trooper still doing these little scenes here and there when she's supposed to be on maternity leave. I believe she's off for a proper break after next week's eps? This Harvey/Jean/Kathy triangle is tiring to watch. I can see a potential Gina/Harry/Jay love triangle bubbling away too; when will soaps get a bit more creative and understand that we don't always want this sort of thing in a relationships story? 😂

Hollyoaks
So Nina is real! Great episode in support of trans rights today, right down to the detailing of the having the trans flag in the opening credits and ad stings. I struggle to believe anything that comes out of Arlo's mouth now, even if his chat with Marie felt genuinely sincere.

Club MTV’s Big 20
Show Me Love at #1 ❤️ Also great tracks from Jorja Smith and Rudimental too.

"1Xtra artist". I'm done 💀

Now That's What I Call Music! [Part 7]
Not enough Radio 2 for it to be realistic 😆
-
Barry Can't Swim - Loner
'Different' is really standing out to me as my favourite of the 3 singles so far! The album is confirmed to include 'Still Riding' from last year too.

EastEnders
2017 wasn't all bad I guess
-
Calvin Harris & Clementine Douglas - Blessings
They're two completely different styles of dance music? They're not comparable and Smoke The Pain Away isn't a sign of Calvin's popularity declining either
-
PinkPantheress - Fancy That
to hell with it was a mixtape I really adored and would play a lot but I definitely lost touch with Heaven knows as it was never really there in terms of quality for me. Fancy That puts her right back on form, love it. Lots of Basement Jaxx *.*

EastEnders
She'd had a row with Carmel because she'd broken up with Kush. It was all a bit naff (and another example of how terrible Sean O'Connor's tenure as EP was)

Song Covers SoundClash #46
Being Nobody is an incredible track. Even 22 years on it still sounds fresh

When did you start paying attention to the UK charts?
1998, god I feel old. I was there, every Sunday, taping the songs I wanted to listen to for the week
-
Doctor Who • The Story & The Engine
I didn't feel very smart watching this episode. The entire plot went over me 😩 Enjoyed the brief unexpected cameo though

KATSEYE - Gnarly
Yes #52 in the UK today!

Dance Track of the Week; 2025 Week 19
Went for Calvin but Duke Dumont and Orbital smashing it too.
-
Duke Dumont - Union
He actually has a whole album coming on July 25th called UNION. Duality was great so I'm hoping this will be too. The new track sounds good on first listen.
-
Calvin Harris & Clementine Douglas - Blessings
It's alright on first listen, likely to grow on me. Ooh at the Radio 1 snub, they usually lap up his singles straight away (I'm sure it'll be added eventually)

Scissor Sisters
Magnifique has been released today. It was a touring staple of theirs during the debut album era. Great to hear a studio version! https://open.spotify.com/track/2dtNg1bjtJiLoXenuHYrSO?si=nXC18jaYTMGUeXGxN823lg

Ely Oaks & LAVINIA - Borderline
Below 2 minutes! 🫠

Mimi Webb & Meghan Trainor - Mind Reader
What a BOP
-
WizTheMc & bees & honey - Show Me Love
This is really good! Glad it's made it to the Top 3 in the chart, it's infectious

Clean Bandit & Tiesto feat. Leony - Tell Me Where You Go
Finally got round to listening to this and it's absolute rubbish. Clean Bandit are such a far cry from where they used to be and it really is a sad sight to see. I'm still excited to listen to the likes of Mozart's House, Dust Clears, Symphony etc but this would never live up to that as it's drivel.

Heart FM Playlist 2025
Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club added. Feels right that they're playing it. They've done a pretty good job at picking up the big hitters this year.
