EastEnders
Far too much Anna in tonight's episode, it felt like she was shoehorned into every scene! Speaking of shoehorning, not Chappell Roan (or Run as it sounded) in Billy and Honey's playlist, wonder which song they went with :kink: Would it be daft to put Freddie in contention for some form of involvement in Cindy's attack (or the brick throw), he was VERY shifty tonight in that scene in the market with Anna. Also which writer doesn't know how schools work in that there aren't endless inset days in term time?

Could CDs/digital downloads ever make a comeback?
I'm really getting into my CDs again. I'm glad I kept my CD player when I moved out many moons ago so it's helped get into it all again but I would like to improve my set up as the sound on my current one is a bit hollow. For now, I'm snapping up CDs from charity shops, Amazon and MusicMagpie but I'm being quite careful only buying ones I know I will actually stick with and listen to repeatedly. I bought Myles Smith's EP today as it's out this week but also Bicep's Isles which I've never owned physically (and it's never come down in price either). There's just something about owning that physical product for one's collection but also paying that bit more attention to that artist. As convenient as streaming is, it's empty and not paying the artist anything really. As for CD singles I'll buy them if I REALLY like the song. I have a handful in my possession since restarting those in 2019. APT. might be my next purchase if it ever comes down from £2.99 (I'm stubborn so may never buy it lol). Downloads are done with really. You only have to look at the iTunes chart to see how dynamic it is and things change so quickly. I do appreciate the nostalgia of it all though and once upon a time it was exciting to see the pre-orders and downloads shoot around every week.

Myles Smith - A Minute...
Physical copies are out this week. Bought the CD version just now from Amazon. With a peak of #63 so far back in November I'm hoping it can improve, especially given Nice To Meet You taking off

Cinemas
I worked at Vue when I was at uni. My contract was 4 hours and that was all I got some weeks, others I could be doing 30! It all just depends on how busy things are, other staffing requirements etc. It really worked for when I was studying but the unsociable hours (finishing 2/3am at the weekends) and possibility of not enough work doesn't suit everyone. I fondly look back at my time there even though it was only 12 months; the perks, the people, the films I got to see were all worth it. I'd definitely do it all again (it's also where I knocked the fear of going to the cinema alone as I had free tickets I wasn't ever going to waste ). I got an Odeon gift card for Christmas but not sure what to make use of it on. I kind of want to do a Monday showing (because myOdeon saver rate) meaning I can get 2 showings out of the card.

Concerts
I've just got LeBrock planned so far for April 2025 (I've been wanting to see them since I discovered and sent them in BJSC) as they're doing a homecoming gig. My aim is to get out and see some more local acts and venues this year
