Yes I heard Sapphire in my local Greggs first thing and it was played again this afternoon so safe to say it's been added. Lewis Capaldi - Survive has also been added

Elaine and Cindy working together is going to be an absolute joy to watch

Fat Mike jumpscare in Casualty as he's appearing as a drug dealer in their current storyline. There's no escape 🥲

A bit of a better week but I'm not sure how within the first half of today's episode we see Clare and Grace getting arrested, interviewed and bailed in what, 9 minutes? The pacing is so off. Things like this could be given a whole episode or two to play out so it's not really landing or making an impact. Jez and Liberty can also f*** off, couldn't care less about them. John Paul's reaction is the best part of the story.

So Joel's mum is called Chloe and is getting married? That definitely rules out Zoe then. Bit of a red herring in Ben Wadey's debut episode to line up Joel's talk of his mum adjacent to Zoe's return. I have to give it to Max Murray as he's really playing the character of Joel so well and you can see there's a lot of layers there to unpack, particularly around his attitude towards his mum (and women in general); I think EE are dealing with this in much better way than they are the Suki/Avani story.
  7. I downloaded 121 this morning from Amazon as it was a little cheaper plus was using it as a test album to see how it easy it is to put a downloaded album onto a phone these days (it isn't, back to an iPod perhaps!). Anyway, the first disc I loved, no skips; hadn't heard Relationships by HAIM before today and it was a stand out! Disc 2 kinda drones on towards the end but still solid nontheless.
  8. This being played on Radio 1 again right now
  9. Gosh this song is so infectious. Dance track of the summer tbh
  10. Clocked this on Soundcloud last week as it was rising in popularity there. It sounds great, vibey
  11. Jessie Ware and Two Door Cinema Club are now currently in the Radio 2 bracket (though both often feature with their 2010s hits on Radio 1's Anthems/10s shows) as R2 have more recently playlisted both artists. It's a natural lifecycle of an artist really, with the exception of some acts who manage to cling on to relevance forever meaning they get that ongoing support from Radio 1.
  12. The official schedule for the channel says "Get your fix of the hottest club tracks by checking out this week's chart - as compiled by the Club MTV crew!". That suggests there's only supposed to be one chart? But it's on every weekday so maybe it actually now changes daily!
  13. Lotunia STUNS with new look
  14. #1 dance album!
  15. It did chart at #25 on dance singles and #35 on overall sales
  16. 2000 is the next chart due on 24th August

The Sun are reporting that a return is happening for Spoiler Stuart Highway
  18. The Now Music store has a sale on. Some decent offers, particularly good to get 55% off on each of the Millennium Series CDs https://nowmusic.com/collections/sale

At least Eve said some of things we're all thinking but it's still a poor effort to even decide to portray Suki in this way / handle this story in the way it has been up until today.

The show is in a shockingly shit place again. I've been watching for 18 months now having been enticed back in with the mega hyped up crash storyline in January 2024. I don't think the show has an identity right now at all. I'll try and see it through to the 30th anniversary but christ they need to pull something out of the bag otherwise I can't see it surviving much longer

I do wonder if they'll respond to the backlash that viewers have presented on this story for Suki and Avani. It's in bad taste but being a couple of months ahead there's probably more to come that they could well need to edit/cut. It does some like they're heading for a Christmas/New Year birth too giving the timeline and we're probably pinning their hopes on it being their big story..
  22. Yeah I learnt very early on that trying to win (or just qualify) makes this more stressful on you as an individual. Go with what you're loving as it makes it more enjoyable.
  23. My Nu Leng have confirmed they're splitting up after 15 years together. Their last performance will be at Boomtown in August. They had some great tracks! Here's some of my favourites.
  24. I've had an interest in these two since BJSC (thanks blacksquare!) as Bon Bon is a bit of a banger. I caught their Glasto set a few weeks back on iPlayer and was hooked once again. Now they're here with a new track and it's got some great wobbly bass!
  25. This is the best thing Zara has released in years! I missed its original (brief) run on Radio 1 recently but the song came on recently whilst I was looking for new tracks and I was blown away by how good it is
