Ruby's 'on the Square' scenes have been jarring, today's included her just rocking up to the Vic for Reiss' meeting about Sonia felt off.

That's big for Nick getting another breakfast show. He's been largely the sole cover for Lauren whilst she's been off so he's done enough to impress and land that slot. I can't say I've listened to him since he left Radio 1 but I enjoy his podcast with Annie Mac

Okay I've had some time now hearing it on Spotify and Radio 1 and I've done a complete 180 it's a decent track. I'm getting major Calvin Harris 18 Months era vibes from the production (as mentioned earlier in this thread) which adds to the enjoyment.

I'm actually preferring the NOTION remix more than the original, it has a bit of life to it. The original isn't exactly dull but it's very basic (though still catchy) but the remix elevates it a lot.

I've just rewatched the TikTok posted above and it's no wonder I said "unknown track from 2015" when it wasn't even around then. Chrystal made the song in 2015, tagged it as 2015 and gave it a release year of 2015 but in fact was only uploaded in June 2024!

So I never got round to listening to this in the release week nor any week in 2024 until today :lol: It's an okay album, solid production but I did find myself drifting in terms of staying attentive in listening to it. It all just seemed to merge into one. Generator is a standout track from the singles and I really enjoyed Muscle Memory/Harpy dream (it drew me back in towards the end).

New EP from nimino comes out in March, released on Counter Records which is a part of Ninja Tune. It's very likely that I Only Smoke When I Drink is a flash in the pan/one hit wonder for him but I'm yet to be disappointed by anything he releases and it would be great to see some continued support for him now he's got into the mainstream.
