The TOTP repeats on BBC Four entered the year 2000 a couple of weeks back, I thought it would be a good place to discuss a golden era for the show as it entered its final few years as a regular Friday fixture. There is a double bill every Friday from 7pm or you can catch up on iPlayer (note that due to the cricket this week, the next episodes air from 17th July).

Jason Durr joins the cast as Clive Masters, a local councillor who will be involved in a storyline with Linda to save the community centre (more Sober Salsa on the way!). Jason is best known for his roles as David Hide in Casualty and Mike Bradley in Heartbeat.

There was a physical release planned but it was cancelled without explanation.

I've noticed in their advert/blurb for 124 they've explicitly said "sales and airplay hits", is that a first beyond the odd interview they've done? I think this is why there's a lack of the omissions others post here. That's not to say that their strategy is correct and they could do with refreshing things as it'd be interesting to know what their market research is.

Bring Your Love is likely receiving an uptick in plays due to the album release. Golden isn't gone but it's on a lower rotation, I only fancied posting the actual new stuff.

Does the Buzz Artist carry over into meaning plays on the main station? If so, how often?

New single from Cascada out this week. It's generic, party fun but showing that eurodance is still well and truly alive. I like that it's more of a return to form compared to the disco vibes of the last era.

I think each of the releases have got better? Hands On Me isn't terrible but it felt like a false start. This one is great, I love those drops.
