Nahhh they could at least play the right version for why it's in the chart ugh

*Waits intently for the inevitable Olivia Dean play*

Wasia Project are literally a Radio 1 artist, why not play them instead??

LMAO F*** OFF WITH PLAYING HARRY STYLES IN THIS ALBUM CHART

I was going to ask if there was genuinely any "pop" that they're "enthusiastic" about?

I can only imagine with the tickets going on sale this weekend that this'll climb even more

This is a permaban worthy comment

Now unfortunately it's the very same songs in the dance chart for the 3rd week in a row just in a different order.

Does this feel really tiresome to anyone else? I don't think it's Radio 1's fault at all that the charts aren't budging but hearing the same stuff EVERY Sunday and then again on Friday too is just... meh

It's nowhere to be seen on streaming though. Most of its "success" in the main chart I guess is from a mixture of ACR for other music but also downloads as it currently sits at #4 on the sales chart. It's #2 on downloads... just behind Movin' To The Sun 😆

There's just something about the 2010s deep house scene that really resonates with me. The way I was obsessed with mixes like this so I am completely here for this randomly taking off! I think it was listening religiously to Friday nights on Radio 1 where Annie Mac and Pete Tong would be spamming this stuff and it's rooted in nostalgia, albeit very recent. I'm assuming it's somewhere on TikTok? I'm not on there anymore to confirm. I wonder if this'll get a proper streaming release rather than the compilation version taking all of the glory, which is currently the only version available.

It'll probably be the likes of Radio 1 Anthems, Radio 1 Dance and local BBC radio that gets sacked off first before the big nationals do.

Freddie just gets better every time he's on screen. I couldn't stop laughing at The One Show sketch

Tallahassee was released last week, love the sound of this one.

Out this week then. I really like the singles so far so will definitely check this out at some point in the week.

Ah, found it. If you're on the website and signed in, click on your name at the top and then change your email preferences to receive the station newsletter (sorry I know this is the Capital thread).

Subtle comments this week hinting that the Hawkins family are going to be the new Vic owners though, especially if Ned finds this "money he's owed". Regarding the Slaters, it would've been sensible for Stacey to do a number of things but it didn't fit the plot at the time for them not to have her give the money to Kat, despite how irresponsible it was. I'm struggling to believe who would've actually bought the Vic from the Carters/Knights other than maybe Suki but that doesn't fit the Panesar "brand".

Yep, it's 12-2pm every weekday

We're going alt-bloc this time. Switched it up from my initial confirm to something that I cannot stop listening to.

EastEnders: Suspending belief in reality since 1985.

This feels really rather fresh, it probably helps that nothing is lingering around for over 6 months as well at the moment. Been listening to Conor Knight this morning, hadn't realised he was here now as I liked him when he appeared sporadically on Radio 1.

Impressive dance and scores for John!

Charlotte defining Nothing Week by literally giving us nothing.

Will be Hottest Record on Radio 1 on Tuesday

Awww how good was Graeme
