I've always thought that having an actual album chart aired would be good, especially to hear full tracks from acts that never bother the singles chart so this is the closest we'll get I guess

Double Harry

Harry staying in the chart until his next tour shows in the UK next summer?? 🤭

Hearing Islands In The Stream 🥰🥰🥰

How funny that they're now revealing the dance chart now ahead of Arielle normally doing it on a Monday. At least they're doing Friday's chart and not last weeks.

I'm not sure that was the working theory? We all know how much nostalgia is already in the charts and extending the show to 3 hours means we hear it all!

Not Sure Thing having a second wind on TikTok

Wonder how many listeners are mistaking this as the actual chart being back on a Sunday. Some of the texts definitely suggesting it 💀

We like a 2004 released track don't we x

Is it normal not to have Newsbeat during this slot or did Life Hacks ditch it too?

One thing Nancy can't understand (is why Mr Brightside is forever in the chart)

Oh bloody hell

Marianne ❤️❤️❤️

Cloonuh? This song is lyrically 00s Hip Hop levels of filth but it slaps.

The Radio 1 Dance chart is just the official dance singles chart. Not sure what tf a Radio 1 Anthems chart is

Ok a Top 3 recap makes sense. Lauren hinting there we'll get the full 40??

I would've thought both are decided at the same time to come into effect on the Friday

Oh absolutely it happened but then they quietly just forgot about it and it was never mentioned again what actually happened with the taxi

I'm ready and waiting for the show, not sure what to expect of a whole 3 hours but it's exciting nonetheless

Pretty light this year, like many others years! Past 8th July 2026 - My Chemical Romance (Wembley Stadium, London) Upcoming 11th December 2026 - Pete Tong's Ibiza Classics (The O2, London) 9th July 2027 - Fontaines D.C. (London Stadium, London)

I see it's being banded around that a permanent return later on is also happening! Exciting

If you can't catch the sets on iPlayer, this is the BBC Two schedule this weekend: Saturday 9pm - Highlights 10pm - Chaka Khan Sunday 10pm - Simple Minds 11:15pm - Highlights

Returns 23rd September. I must admit I haven't finished the previous series; I didn't like that they'd moved house, ditched the other main characters and the kids had vanished. I have read that Toby and Anna are appearing in one episode of the new series though.

20th Anniversary release of the album is happening with a CD, cassette, vinyl and digital download. Out 23rd October. Includes the original album, plus: Heaven Help Us (Welcome To The Black Parade B-side) Kill All Your Friends (Famous Last Words B-side) My Way Home Is Through You (Famous Last Words B-side) Dead! (Live) The Sharpest Lives (Live) Someone Out There Loves You (Live) (aka Stay)

It's been over 4 years since their last release but Bloc Party are still going strong with their 7th studio album. It's out this week and could be a contender for a high spot in the charts; A Weekend In The City remains their highest position at #2 in 2007. There were a few tracks put out ahead of the album's release. I'm listening to it now and it sounds pretty good, I absolutely adore Love Bombs! Streaming Focus Track
