I get what you mean. I do like Despacito (the non Bieber version), but as an Italian, these songs are EVERYWHERE in Italy. And there are millions of songs which are better. I do wish those types of songs did better here. It is great to see songs like this break through though however it would be great to see the likes of: Shakira feat Maluma- Chantaje Ricky Martin- Vente Pa' Ca/La Morditita Even the likes of the Belgian Stromae didn't make it big here bar one song. Correct me if I'm wrong, but not a lot of Latino songs make it big here. They do in the US and Europe, but it's very rare for the UK. In fact, bar Daddy Yankee's Gasolina, Shakira's La Tortura, Danza Kuduro and Loca People from Sak Noel, what else has there been?

Another vote on how Places is a little generic. It's a shame Do It Right couldn't do much better, that, Hello, +1 and Intoxicated are such great tunes. Places, meh, i feel i've heard songs like that a billion times in 2017 already.

59p batches: 77. Coolio- Gangsters Paradise 86. Missy Elliot- Get Your Freak On 95. Owl City- Fireflies 96. Nickleback- How U Remind Me Really surprised Latch isn't on there to be fair, it was on the outskirts of the Top 100 in the UK for almost two years after it left I remember. It never really went away. I'm pretty sure that Latch was at #101 for 2 weeks straight after being in the Top 100 for almost a year.

Some decent 59p songs there! As much as I used to dislike Bad Day, it's annoyingly catchy. Great to have These Words, How U Remind Me, Get Your Freak On and as depressing as it is, Angels, and of course, my favourite, Latch. Come on Disclosure! If you're not releasing any more material from your incredible debut album, Settle, you best make a 2nd album!

I'm wondering if there are any Tchami releases coming any time soon? Promesses did well. And I binged through all the songs that Tchami have ever done and I honestly think he is the best artist by far in this deep/future house scene (and this is from someone who was never a big fan of the genre). Shot Callers, Untrue, his version of Pushing On, etc..all of them are brilliant, but I have a feeling they are too "underground" and I'd think they wouldn't dare to try to release it to a mainstream audience.

I expect Fade to Grey to enter the Top 100 any time really. RIP Steve. Also, has there been a batch of 59p singles? I have seen these have re-entered: 100. Imagine Dragons- Demons 97. Savage Garden- Truly, Madly Deeply 94. The Calling- Wherever you will Go 90. Coldplay- The Scientist 88. Coldplay- Fix You 87. Jason Mraz- I'm Yours 78. Eminem and Rihanna- Love the Way you Lie

Anyone know if/when Sugar Man by Yolanda Be Cool will be released? I heard it on the Italian channel on an advert and my friends who are currently in Australia have posted it on their Facebook stating it's huge over there.

I'm thrilled to see Numb Encore doing so well with the 59p effect. That is a crazy chart run for a song that has peaked at #14.

Yep, it's a little annoying! But as someone said already, how many non English lyrical songs have made it big here? A tiny number. Stromae really is an underrated one!

So odd to see Aronchupa making its way up in pre-orders. I just recently came back from Sicily and the song was always playing there, and was a song I never thought would be released here... 853. Aronchupa- I'm an Albatraoz. Speaking of being abroad, Stromae was very popular out there. I wonder why his singles, Papaoutai and Tous Les Memes never got released here considering Allors On Danse did well here.

I adore both Under Control and Everything You Never Had. It would be incredible if they took the top 2 spots in the chart!

Great to see Animals hitting #1 so easily. Wouldn't it be the first #1 instrumental only song since 1999? (ATB- Till I come)

Agree. As a uni student myself, this is the type of preferred music. I like all genres from Hip Hop, cheesy 90s, 70s-80s, club, house, etc... but as you said, go to any pre drinks where I am or house party, the two most popular genres would be house and 80s/90s dance floor filler anthems.

I personally think that another version of Look Right Through is better than the actual one. The version I really like is from The Place Ibiza Vol 2 album, wish that one could chart! It's on Spotify.

Judging by the pre orders, I'd be surprised if Martin Garrix doesn't get a Top 3.

Thriller's Halloween re-entry makes another return for Halloween. :) I expect this to go maybe a little higher judging by it being played everywhere tonight (in university parties, family parties, everywhere). Today alone I have heard two houses play it full blast on my way to a supermarket 2 minutes walk away.

Wow, Beiber's song does remind me of "Fill Me In", he even sounds a little like Craig David. Come to think of it... is there any plans for him to come back? I know he did an album a few years back, but would love him to go back to his routes (the first 3 albums).
