  2. Never Forget Patience Back For Good Babe The Day after Tomorrow
  3. I would go with: Lie to Me: Gary Barlow (surely this would have charted far better than For All that you Want) Yesterday's Girl: Gary Barlow My Love: Mark Owen The Day after Tomorrow: Take That (Mark Owen vocals)

Not really surprising Woolies are in financial trouble when you look at their music department.

I see Mika as getting number one, but this song is like a novelty act. I don't think it will be number 1 for many weeks on end.

I regret to inform you that Amy Winehouse is about to become the new Katie Melua (best selling UK female album artist 2004/5). I just hope Take That go back to the top when Shine starts getting good airplay and promotion.
  7. At the moment Take That are outselling Leona by at least two to one if you include all CD sales including albums! I would have expected her to do better than that!

It took 152k for Sun/Mon/Tues, so 50k a day and likely to increase as Christmas gets nearer. So 400k is possible and 1m total by Sunday
  9. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds40954.html Robbie Williams has reportedly disappointed fans on the Australian leg of his world tour. According to the Daily Mirror, hundreds of fans left the 'Millennium' singer's concert at Melbourne before the end, with the show later receiving unflattering reviews. The paper quotes one concert-goer as commenting: "He failed to deliver or even resemble the energy and vibrance of past visits. He should hold true to his promise to retire."

I agree. Because their success, Shine will be a big deal to the radio stations and probably go number one. If A Million Love Songs duet with Leona as seen on the X-factor was released as a single, that would have to go number one too. I bet you that a studio version will be on her album. So whenever Leona or Take That fail to get a number one, all either of them need to do, is just dig that one out for their next single!

Sorry about the triple post. I was experiencing technical problems. Funny you should say that, but Robbie Williams has announced he is taking a break from the UK and going to live in America for a while. Yeah Take That are as big as Robbie used to be. I'm sure Robbie will come back big again as you say.

It used to be Robbie Williams who would dominate the christmas season sales. Now it's Take That, bigger than they ever were before. Who would have guessed it?

Just under 700k including 100k so far this week It should easily top a million by year end It's sales have almost doubled this week compared to last. On the Thursday update last week it had sold 102k midweeks This week it has already sold 100k for Sunday and Monday

It's sold nearly 100k in two days according to midweeks. Christmas sales generally will increase through the week.

Take That's new album Beautiful World’s sales were up 15% last week to 229k With their X-Factor Final appearance Including a duet with Leona Plus the Christmas-rush boost Plus Leona mega-sales further boosting traffic into record stores Can Take That sell 300k copies of Beautiful World this week? To do so, it would take a 31% week-on-week increase. :o
  18. I can't see Cliff falling back much. He must have upward momentum!
  19. What's to stop Cliff Richard getting somebody to buy a download of his song 5000 times? Is there any checking in place?

That Cliff song is amazingly good. If he had been on X-factor with it, I think he could have a number one. He still hopes to have a number one in the 2000s after getting at least one in the 50s,60s,70,80s and 90s (and I'm not talking about his age!)

Next Saturday Take That on X-Factor Final and Record of the Year. 10 million viewers total? Especially if they win Record of the Year, their sales could go crazy.

May the best boyband win. Will this be a battle played out bigtime in the media? Take That need to stop Westlife getting number ones if they want to beat Westlife's record!

I think he had some very good songs before becoming bland. Forever Love is my idea of the perfect love song. That's when I first noticed who Gary Barlow was and followed his career. Madonna's Love Won't Wait was his most commercially viable upbeat song. Then it went downhill. His next Single So Help Me Girl was dreary and depressing, originally intended to help him break America and apart from Stronger (that was slagged off as a reaction to Robbie's Strong) what he released next was just too middle of the road boring, dull and forgettable. The real twist of the knife came when Radio 2 refused to play his songs and Woolworth said they would not stock his second album. He had a standout song on his second album called Lie to Me that was never released. I think he should stick that on the next Take That album. Also a song called Yesterday's Girl, an Irish influenced folk-song was a glimpse of his song-writing genius. But the rest was too bland and samey.

I think Gary Barlow might do well with his fist single, after another Take That break-up but he would fall into the same problem as before, sounding too bland. He's better off with Take That, singing most songs with three backing singers! Although he could have a whole album of number ones, with his three solo number ones (assuming he had another one) and if he sang solo the Take That number ones.
