  1. Very well said, Wanting to hear all three TT members is not to be anti-GB or anti-TT, as some may imply.
  2. The idea that I am denigrating Gary Barlow is ridiculous. I am ONLY a TT fan because of the songwriting and vocal talent of GB. However, I expect TT to be TT, not just GB.
  3. How would Oscar Wilde put it? To lose one band member might be considered a misfortune. To lose two might seem like carelessness. But to then lose another two (who are reduced to a pair of earrings who sing drowned out backing vocals or play the triangle) would indicate at least a streak of limelight hoggery.
  4. If you were at a restaurant expecting a three-course meal, but only the soup was ever brought to your table, would you think that was okay?
  5. No, I don't think it was behind their backs. It was right in front of them. It would be like: "Hey Mark and Donald, you just stand there while Gary sings the song and takes the limelight again. Join in the backing vocals if you like, but we will turn down your amps anyway!"
  6. Gary Barlow has so many other projects--songwriting for musicals and other artists, TV shows and solo work, I guess he doesn't have time to take his earrings off. He is a very smart guy and knows that Take That is a stronger brand than Gary Barlow, and Gary Barlow with backing singers sells better than Gary Barlow without backing singers. I can see that this collaboration was a very good idea from a commercial point of view, but what a way to treat your bandmates. There again, Ronan Keating behaved in a similarly smart way.
  7. If I were to see BLT sandwiches for sale, even though I'm a vegetarian, I'd expect them to contain bacon, lettuce and Tomato--all three ingredients, not just the bacon. If it was just a bacon sandwich, then call it for what it is--a bacon sandwich, and don't package it as if the other two are in it!
  8. The song is all about the production. What happened to the great songwriting that we witnessed with songs like Back for Good, Forever Love and Rule the World? It's not a bad song at all, and above average IMO for Take That, but not a song to connect with at deep level. I mean the "cry" theme doesn't work as an upbeat chorus. There is no pain or sincerity in the "cry." It is very immature at that level, but it is a strong single for radio play. I think it will stay top ten for several weeks and a great way of keeping Take That relevant. But where are the other two from Take That? It is hard to believe Sigma couldn't have given the chorus to Howard Donald and Mark Owen. Yes, they are collecting their paychecks, but why do the other two guys from Take that accept that they are reduced to something even less than backing singers for Gary Barlow. Not to take any credit away from Gary Barlow. Forever Love was the reason I first noticed who Gary Barlow was, but I thought the reason Robbie Williams left was because Barlow was greedy and not often willing to share vocals. Yes, Robbie Williams deserved better as he is extremely talented, but Howard Donald and Mark Owen have both displayed that they can carry a song to number one without embarrassing themselves, so at least let them provide backing vocals where you can tell it is them.
  9. That would be me. You aren't really saying that is him,are you?
  10. And Robbie did not leave Take That in 1005! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...ard-Donald.html
  11. What about Lie To Me performed by Take That?
  12. Imagine if the greatest hits had all the Take That number ones, and then newly recorded songs sang by Take That including the Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams number one hits. It would have over 20 number ones. Then throw in the number twos and a few songs by Mark Owen and Howard Donald and a couple of new songs. It would be a monster hit.
  13. Why is Holly Johnson singing on this album? That is what I wondered. Wasn't she in For Your Eyes Only, as the girl to who Roger Moore said: "go and buy yourself an ice cream?" It all made sense as she was an ice skater and Eddie the Eagle was a skier. Maybe she was in the Eddie the Eagle movie. I did a quick Google and found I was mistaken. It was LYNN Holly Johnson in the James Bond movie and Holly Johnson is the guy from Frankie Goes to Hollywood. So who is Frankie anyway? All very confusing.
  14. Wow! Sounds great! Better than a lot of recent Take That songs! Gary Barlow looks like very energetic. I don't know if this has been discussed before, but what is it with his eyes? Does he have a false eye?
  15. Yes, That One sounds best. Why don't we write to Jason Orange?
  16. Do you think they think that they could break out big worldwide? I know they already have gone big in many territories, but maybe it is time for a comeback.
  17. Yes, it is a great idea! Can't wait, but I probably won't be able to see it in the states.
  18. Take That and One Direction would be the way to go. It would be called Take Direction and feature Jason Orange and Zahn Malik.
  19. If this goes big, he might be able to use it to break into America. However, it will be hard to create a show as successful as the Voice or X-Factor.
  20. Thank you for your reply Elisabeth. I don't mean to take anything away from the success of Robbie Williams, but it is no longer at the level it was at when he could expect to sell two million copies of each album in UK alone. Take That may not hit number one with its next album or single, but Robbie could help it get there. I want to hear another Back for Good or another Rule the World.
  21. Their music just isn't as good now as their previous best. I am hoping they will be back again on top form.
  22. Of all the things to argue about! Almost sounds like a scene from Kingsman, when the step-father was being abusive and the young lad decide that enough was enough.
  23. Thanks for the link. I am not keen. Seems very generic to me. What is unique or special about it?
