  1. Thank you so much. He really had to release an album this year, as he knew he may not have another chance to use X-factor as a platform to relaunch his solo career as a recording artist. I think the royal wedding tie-in project gave him the confidence. He's really learned the importance of capitalizing on media opportunities this time around. Personally, I hope he focuses on Take That, rather than the solo career. Take That provides the high-profile, the fan base and in the main, backing vocals to his talent.
  2. Thank you for your warm welcome upon my entrance. Yes, that is a great review. I understand he is also performing some new material. With it being so close among the top three albums. I hope a little bit of extra publicity gives him a number one.
  3. So Gary Barlow is only 10k behind One Direction and Robbie Williams. He's got his Afghanistan show on TV tomorrow and then his New Year's Eve show - do you think he will go up to number one in the new year? I think so. By the way, sorry I have been lurking so long. I've been regularly reading this forum to see all the latest developments and discussions.
  4. It was supposed to parody people who think Robbie Williams is the best thing since sliced bread and who rubbish Take That. In other words I was trying to make a joke out of it and obviously it wasn't funny to you at least, but I think I got a few laughs from some others. I am sorry, but that was my intention. I will be good and won't try ever to be funny again on this forum.
  5. This is the introduction to what I wrote: How anyone can take that seriously, I don't know, when I include options like Robbie Williams or Kenneth Williams or Robin Williams and I say at the start it is just a bit of fun. I apologise for making a couple of posts that I thought some people might find funny.
  6. By the way, my name is not Phil. Yesterday I made a post and wrote that the UFO thing looked like a dig at Robbie who it is reported has become a UFOlogist. Further I said that Take That should not let him come back because he will steal the publicity. Funny how that is twisted around to make it seem like I hate Take That. Nothing could be further from the truth. Then another post on the new single. Unlike some, I did not criticise it. I liked it. Post deleted. I could go on about all the posts that keep getting deleted, but as I say this is not right to pick on one person like this.
  7. I am the victim of racial discrimination. I feel I am being picked on because I am Chinese. I am a BIG fan of Take That and am not a fan of Robbie Williams particularly. I saw Gary Barlow in concert in Bournemouth and have frequently praised him. I write songs and Gary Barlow is my inspiration. But no matter what I post it is deleted. Now I am told this thread will be locked for some odd reason. This is wrong. All people should be treated the same no matter what colour their skin. Please let me know if you agree with me. I am going to create a poll on the general topics asking what others think about this situation.
  8. This is another thread where my post was deleted. This is all about race isn't it.
  9. I posted earlier on this thread and have to ask why my posts keep getting deleted? Is it because I am Chinese?
  10. George Michael had the same sort of idea. Just a pointless publicity gimmick.
  11. I love that website, I recommend it.
  12. Yes I am from time to time, just to add a bit of fun, I'm not really a Robbie fan, but embrace it and enjoy it......... Who was most successful as a solo artist? A Jason Orange with a bit part in a Channel 4 made for TV thriller B Robbie Williams with more album sales in the UK than any other British solo artist in history, winning 15 Brit Awards (more than any artist in history), 6 Echo Awards, 8 number one albums, 6 number one singles, voted Greatest Artist of the 90s, and an $80m contract C Mark Owen with his most successful album riding on the back of Take That peaking at number 33 D Gary Barlow with his second and final album peaking at 35 E Howard Donald with a failed attempt at a solo career becoming a DJ Why did Take That break-up? A because breaking up is sometimes hard to do B because they wanted to have unsuccessful solo careers C because Nifel-Martin Smith told them to break-up D because they were warned teenage girls wanted them to break-up E because they could not go on after Robbie Williams' backing vocals after he had left Who did Take That have to mention might return to sell concert tickets? A Robin Hood B Robin Williams C Robbie Williams D Keneth Willams E Ken Barlow Who had the fastest selling Concert Tourm selling 1,6m tickets in a day A Gary Barlow B Jason Orange C Mark Owen D Robbie Williams E Mark Owen Who was dropped by their record label? A Robbie Williams and Elvis Presley B Robbie Williams and Frank Sinatra C Robbie Williams and Abba D Gary Barlow and Mark Owen E Robbie Williams and Elton John Who is most likely to be behind the success of a band? D somebody who had a bit-part in Heartbeat E somebody whose best selling album peaked at number 33 Phil - the edit I've made was to just remove the line spacing! I agree - Robbie is God! The evidence you have presented is too great. Norma
  13. Why does TT work. In three words: Sir Robert Williams
  14. If he's so good at putting bands together, what has he done since Take That?
  15. I disagree. Put yourself in Robbie's shoes. He was Britain's biggest star, now he must be worried he has become Robbie Nobody who used to be part of Britain's biggest boy band. He doesn't need the money to come back, but I bet he needs the attention to feed his ego. He must feel he can no longer take success for granted.
  16. Robbie Williams To Use Take That For Solo Comeback Robbie Williams is planning to use Take That to resurrect his solo career, according to a new report. The Rock DJ hitmaker has reportedly recorded a pop album and plans to exploit the hype from the band's reunion to top the charts. According to Britain's News of The World newspaper, Robbie is considering a one-off performance with TT at their final tour gig at Wembley on July 5 - which will see him join Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason to sing Back For Good during a sensational final encore. Shortly after the tour, Robbie will release his first single in two years; with an album following in September. A source says, "He has rediscovered how to write earth shatteringly good pop anthems like Angels. "He knows this is his last chance to make it big again. "He needs the band to be successful again. "And for Robbie, success and being Number One again are the only things that will make him happy now. "After the last couple of albums didn’t do so well, Robbie was pretty nervous about the reaction to his new material. "He didn't want them going to the record company until he tried them on some trusted friends. Ant and Dec loved the songs. Robbie was pretty relieved." An insider at Williams' record company, EMI - who signed the star for $160m in 2002 - added, "Getting a new Robbie album out has become our priority. It will make him or break us." http://www.showbizspy.com/180499/robbie-wi...r-solo-comeback
  17. Looks like Robbie Williams' much talked about reunion with Take That is taking a back seat. Top Dutch DJ Sander van Doorn has collaborated with Robbie on his song We're The Pet Shop Boys to create a new version called Close My Eyes. It will be out as a digital download from iTunes on January 4 - complete with a raunchy video. http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/3am/2008/12...15875-21004213/ HAPPY NEW YEAR :w00t: :cheer: :yahoo: :w00t: :cheer: :w00t:
  18. It's not exactly original is it? He hasn't added anything to it. In fact it is quite boring, without Barlow bending a few notes. I imagine most non-TT fans would think at first think it was TT.
  19. Bond Bug posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
Boyzone never officially split. It was never announced and there was some bitterness about Ronan Keating not returning sooner. So if they split next year, I doubt it would count if they didn't announce it again.
  20. Where is the "fraud?" There is no evidemce of fraud.
  21. Hopefully nobody, as $hit in a hat is very unpleasant.
  22. Good piece of deduction. I wonder if the Robbie fans have anything they would like to say in his defence.
  23. He is desparate for a number one. That's why he walks funny!
  24. Exactly, then the old boy can say "I'm the only singer to have a number one in 6 decades, the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, and until he is 80, he will plead with his fans to get him a number one in the 2010s - how funny will that be to see!
