Maybe the label wants to hold onto album one for as long as possible, until there’s enough material for album two that’s more based on Angel of My Dreams? That way she can release the album, do some shows, and then start era 2? That’s the only logical explanation I see. If she releases everything now, without much success, and then disappears for a few months till new material is ready, it’s over. But if she drops the album and shortly after has a new single, she might get a new hit. There is interest around her, and people genuinely want her to succeed — what’s missing are the songs that really connect with the audience. Personally, Fantasy is the one I’ve listened to the most, followed by FUFN — those are the most melodic ones for me. But in the UK, chaos seems to be what people love 😅

Sounds like a smart move! One single worked, so now she just has to release the album as a formality. Put it out, go on tour, and then drop a new album with the sound she already knows people like. All artists who go solo usually start off too big—and that’s when they flop. If she really has the label’s support, this is the best way to build a solid solo career: start small and grow with each release.

Sabrina Carpenter - Short n' Sweet
Does anyone knows if she is going to release Juno as the final single? I saw her live yesterday, people and her went crazy during the performance and not release this song would be one of the biggest fails ever in Pop Music! 🥹 It screams SMASHHH

JADE - FUFN • 3rd single
Let’s be honest guys, wouldn’t be so much difference from the F word to the Forgive one. I’m still wondering why she isn’t getting Spotify supper. Super weird.

Good move! She needs to continue being on the spotlight with new music. She shouldn’t disappear for a long time and these collabs may be fantastic for her!

Can someone really explain to me how the industry works nowadays? I just don’t get it from a financial perspective—how can you spend two or three years recording songs with the girls, with all the costs that entails, and then not release the album? Even if putting it out requires more investment, wouldn’t they at least recover part of the money through fan purchases from different formats? I just can’t wrap my head around the idea that after all that investment, the album never comes out.

JADE - FUFN • 3rd single
It’s not dreaming, it is that sadly this campaign is over for her. If she disappears, after 3 years out recording the debut, will be impossible to her. Now she have critics and public with her, she needs to take advantage of that and try to put out one hit soon :)

It’s a shame that the album release is happening with no hype at all, but I’m getting more and more sure about what happened. In the initial interviews, she said AOMD was chaotic, that people would be like “WTF,” and in the end, it became the campaign’s biggest success. I think the AOMD release was meant as an introduction, but they didn’t expect its success and impact. In fact, I believe she and her team were counting on Fantasy being her Espresso or FUFN—a commercial hit—but in the end, the only real hit was the first single, and IT Girl is another song that, with a better structure and proper single treatment, could have done much more. People don’t want a commercial or watered-down Jade; they want the more experimental version. That said, I think AOMD’s success caught them off guard. They probably assumed the other singles would do well just for being more commercial, but that didn’t happen. I don’t think what she’s doing now is necessarily wrong. It’s clear she’s a quality artist with something to offer—unlike her former bandmates. This era has helped her break into the market, start shaping her solo image, etc. If I were her, I’d drop the album, do a few more shows (why hasn’t she announced any solo concerts?), and then come back in September/October with a new single and a new era to try for real success. Kind of like what Chapel has done. That being said, I don’t know how much longer the label will be willing to support her if she’s not generating profits…
