I’m sorry for her but being honest the single is totally bland. It was smart to go with that sound really commercial for the UK but for me the song starts ok but when arrives to the chorus is such a let down. I guess for all the girl/boy bands must be hard to release solo music cos they want to succeed and also want to express their own sound after so many years but I believe when you are about to start you career you must go really safe and commercial. What was the last LM hit? Sweet Melody, right? Then you go it, go that sound or something a la Touch to start with really a banger, to established yourself but for me this song is third single material. Now that I’m older, and especially after seeing One Direction went solo, I appreciate more that all the Spice Girls got a solo hit single and released Top 10 albums cos I highly doubt that Jesy or Leigh will release the full solo album.

I have cute memories off this album for ‘Strengh of a Woman’. I’ve always been a Emma’s fan so on that period Emma was releasing and promoting WTYSL but here in Spain we didn’t have where to buy the single or listen the song on the radio, so I used to listen SOAW from Geri since was a similar style for me LOOOL. I really love Lovey Dovey Stuff (I play it sometimes) but sorry, and I don’t want to offend anybody here, I think her voice is terrible so I’ve never been able to enjoy an album of her, seems she is struggling while singing.

Back in the day I loved this album and even today is nice to hear but being honest was such a let down. I don’t blame her, after the crazy Spice Girls years and the strong promo of Free Me with not big success guess she put the minimum effort into the project and took the two years break to rest and recover, when the most logical point was to release a new album soon after Free Me and explore the Maybe music style more. She reminded me to Alexa Dixon situation, Alexa got a big hit with TBDN, released few singles of the album and started the new album campaign shortly (shame that first single was not really commercial and the whole project flopped). I think Emma had some chances after FM to success with the right music but definitely she and her team gave up and then we had Life In Mono. I’m still quite shocked about how she went from the exquisite Free Me photography to LM, thank God social media didn’t exist at that time, otherwise I can imagine how many memes we would have had with that cover!

It may be related to the financial issues that she faced? Release the album would be an investment and guess she wouldn’t have much benefit.

I’ve been a huuuuuge fan of Sugababes but formation 1.0 are SO PREPOTENT that they don’t deserve any kind of success. Let’s no forget that Siohban left the band freely and attacked Keisha heavily and as well Mutya left freely for going solo, so why are they joking about 3 or 4 formations? why comment underestimating Heidi? Ridiculous. They can say whatever they want but the only truth is that they succeeded when Heidi was there, not Siohban. I’ve seen some videos of the Hoopla, not the whole show, but Siohban isn’t singing any Heidi line? They have modify all the lines to avoid it? Siohban thinks she is superior and doesn’t want to do it? Heidi wasn’t the best, but she was constant on her job and was in the most important moments of the group meanwhile The Sacred Three (another ridiculous, bitter and prepotent name) had 1 hit on 2000 and a Top 50 comeback single. These three together are poison, thanks God will never sucede.

It didn’t affect me cos i didn’t like her, she was always trying to get attention over the rest of the girls, so I was happy when she left. Only with time I saw she was the heart and essence of the band.

Well this is not true, cos from the moment she won, started to get insults, critics and even threats, she deactivated Twitter due the level of hate she was receiving. Actually was funny how ridiculous Tanxungueiras and big part of Eurovision Spanish fans were, because rules were clear from the begging: jury vote was 50% of the decision so just because their favourites didn’t get the biggest score started the hate campaign against Chanel. Thanks God time put things in place and meanwhile Chanel made history in the festival for spanish records and got an audience of the 50%, Tanxungueiras will be forgotten in a few months and I couldn’t be more happier cos they are horrendous as their fans.

I haven’t assumed her performance yet, this girl is completely FIRE. I think is one of our best entries and I’m really happy for her, she has the potential to be an international star ⭐️ .
