I just don’t think I’ve ever been enough of a fan of her voice...she sounds so flat on so much of this song.

Btw guys they’re moving to RCA UK not US, where Tinashe went to die luckily. But they’re probably still going to be represented by Colombia in the US so not THAT much will probably change. Their management is still the same, they just won’t be funded by the same part of Sony Records. (RCA is still Sony, so they’ve kinda moved sideways not fully to a new label).

Being #1 on iTunes means very little if you can’t replicate it on streaming. At this point Little Mix were already #7 on Apple Music, with a bigger lead on iTunes and they still only charted at #5 while Cheryl is #55 on Apple Music currently (and she has better playlist support there than Spotify, too) So I can see Cheryl charting around 15 - 25 this week depending on how she holds up.

I think Cheryl's basically going to do a 'Dancing' with this, tbh. But probably without the long-term endurance that had.

 

I thought of Dancing / Steps Scared of The Dark in terms of its first day. I think it can become a mini hit for her in time though, she has good promo lined up!

I imagine Cheryl will start falling fast by tonight, like Little Mix did first week but even faster.

The song is nice enough but the production, the video and everything all seems so half assed / cheap. It's something I'd expect someone like Cher Lloyd to come back with.

Ariana will be #1 for at least a month now, I'd say. Little Mix will probably discount on album release week next week, and have a big performance and will get a streaming/iTunes boost so will likely go back to #2 that week.

I always thought Cheryl might get off to a very strong iTunes start - probably #1 for a couple of days before falling fast.

Why isn’t Thank U Next on NMF? It’s on all the others worldwide so far!
