Respectably, this a very odd comparison of a song that went to #1, what? 2 years ago. Regardless of the sales it took for #1, it got there naturally regardless after 10 weeks of almost making it (I think it was the #1 song without Christmas songs for a while), and didn't use any tricks to get there. Ed is doing perfectly well, but wouldn't be debuting at #1 without physicals, which none of his previous #1s needed - it's fine to discuss that, just like many did when Little Mix exited their imperial phase, too - as most acts do :)

This is so oddly defensive. Every single big artist's highs and lows are discussed at great length here, it's a chart forum. Nobody is even saying he's outright flopping, most are outwardly just stating that his very impressively long imperial phase is naturally coming to an end.

I don't love it as much as NFR, but it's a massive return to form after the last two albums. Taco Truck x VB is phenomenal. Lana truly gets music like no other, her songwriting is totally unmatched. Those interludes truly can get in the bin though.

I always thought Miley’s UK fanbase was a lot better than most places. Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, Malibu, Midnight Sky, Prisoner etc all did far better here than in the US.
