I like the remix, I think Chanel works well on the song.

I do definitely agree with the Midnight Cowboy taking some of the attention away. I also think Q4 is increasingly difficult, because Christmas songs start to takeover about a month earlier than they used to.

It really sucks, they really took the wind out of the release's sails and didn't give it a chance. If it was added on day one I think conversations here would be very different.

I don't think there's any point wasting any more promo slots when she hasn't got an album pre-order out, unless she gets onto Hot Hits with any of her songs which is feeling unlikely now.

If they added this to hot hits still in the next week or so it could get a cute top 40 peak in Jan when the christmas songs fall away

I wouldn't say it's terrible, it's a bit disappointing given the huge playlist reach but I think Die With a Smile has sucked up the hype a bit, Joker, too. I think waiting til the new year could have benefitted the song more but I also think Little Monsters couldn't wait any longer.

Hopefully one day Jesy does find a way to take a bit of accountability. I do think she has her own demons that have manifested negatively towards others, but hopefully whatever damage she did behind the scenes isn't totally irreversible.

I’m a little shocked Disease is falling so fast given it’s got one of the biggest playlist reaches for a new song this year. I’m sure it’ll increase tomorrow though.

Yeah Hot Hits didn’t add this again. It’s annoying because people who like the song less will be like “they chose the wrong song”, but it was never going to do much without being on the most important playlist here. (Unless it went viral)

Capital have added this but only on evenings annoyingly.

Maybe; that playlist isn’t as important as HHUK though, NMF doesn’t get many listens after Friday morning

Woah, woah - it wasn't that deep. I don't think I've mentioned Jesy on any forum in over a year. I didn't choose to include her in my ranking on the other thread because I literally have not heard her other songs, so it wouldn't be a fair comparison. I made that comment, because I thought it was funny that the song that's least known has more votes from two songs that had reasonably big pushes. I don't think it's very fair at all to link that post I made to what happened to Liam less than a week ago.

Hmmm this sounds a bit more "ava max" quick hit to me than the first two singles which have a superior feel to them to me. But i'll wait til I hear it in full.

It’s interesting people compare this to Jessie Ware because she’s a big touring / festival artist and gets such critical acclaim. It’s a route for her to go down without feeling too throwaway which for example “forget about us” kind of feels like even though it was a top 10 hit.

Yeah I totally agree. It's already FAR harder for UK artists because Spotify is dominated by US based playlists, so the least HHUK could do is be more upfront with supporting UK artists.

It’s nothing to do with the song. Unless you go viral on Tik Tok, or are a massive global star like Adele / Bruno Mars, you don’t really have a chance in the UK without hot hits. Point blank. Even Your Love was added from day one.
